What lovely wardens

Compact but well laid out site with excellent facilities. A short walk into Dulverton with all its amenities. Walking from the site is mainly hilly. Roads in the area are fairly narrow but not too busy. Most CC wardens are great but these were extremely pleasant and helpful (they may have been the relief wardens) and went out of their way to assist.

Exmoor delight

What a beautifully positioned site. Do follow the instructions though, the car park entrance is correct! Some challenging approach roads so travel with care and make sure you don't arrive too early, the 1.00pm arrival is enforced for a reason. Lovely clean site in the most glorious countryside. Dulverton has plenty to choose from to eat and shop.

August 16

A flat site that is very well layed out, not too regimented. Never seen cleaner facilities. Just a few minutes walk from Dulverton which is a nice place to spend a few hours, particularly liked the old fashioned road signs! I even had a nice man put fuel in our van, can't remember the last time that happened! Will definitely return.

Our stay

We stay at this well maintain, clean, spotless, beautiful site in July 2016. The wardens work extremely hard to keep an excellent standard. It is located in a lovely town, with good shops and pub. It has good walks for the dos near by although it encounters a steep climb before entering the woods but at the end of this walk and a further 250 yards a great tea shop with lovely cream teas. The only fault if it is one the dog walk is a little small for the amount of dogs, but again there are areas near by to walk them. Thanks you for a lovely stay.

Great location

This small site is located right in the beautiful town of Dulverton. You can park the car and walk to the local shops, pubs and eating places ( Woods is fantastic). There are also some beautiful walks again right from the site. Site is spotless and the wardens seem to work non stop. Have already booked our next visit

Immaculate, friendly and charming little site

I spent 2 nights here in my camper van and wish I had stayed for longer (I will be back!) The facilities were absolutely immaculate, clean and top notch, and the wardens were genuinely charming and helpful. The site was very peaceful with the gentle sound of the river flowing in the background. Dulverton was only a short 3 minute walk away, and it was a delight! Lots of lovely unique shops, a wonderful butcher and greengrocer, and a great choice of places to eat or have tea/coffee. I could not have been happier here, and will definitely be back for a longer stay and to explore the area.

Stop no 6 on our summer tour

Must warn you the 1p.m. rule applies here to the letter this is to give time for members to clear the narrow roads on there journeyshould from the site, we saw numerous units being sent away because they were arriving from 10. 15 . The site is in a lovely location on the edge of Dulverton.Shops, Pubs and cafes all dog friendly and are only short walk away. The site is keep very clean along with the 2 toilet blocks.Certainly will visit again

Brilliant site

Lovely peaceful site with usual high standard of cleanliness and excellent facilities. Close to village of Dulverton with good shops and pubs which are very dog friendly. Small dog walk on site but nice field nearby with access for people and dogs to shallow riverside. Wardens lovely, can't find any negatives. Will visit again

Short stay but will return

From the moment I tried to book, which eventually happened because of the extremely helpful warden. It was a wonderful experience. Add to the wonderfully quiet location of the camp site, it was very dog friendly including the local shops & pubs. The wardens couldn't be more helpful & I will return. Facilities immaculate.
