Wonderful wardens

Keith and Debbie could not be more helpful. Clean and tidy site. Keith is always at hand to help with getting things right if you have trouble with your van. Friendly and welcoming. The town is close which as motorhome owners is really handy. River and woods nearby for dog walks.

Absolute Gem!

Cracking site in a lovely location - similar to Bolton Abbey in some respects. I really liked this site and extended our stay here by two days. It is fairly easy to get to and the roads are generally ok on the way. (BTW: If you are coming in from the west the B3227 from the A361 is an OK road to get to Oakfordbridge & then on the A396 to site). And, as the guidance says, as you enter Dulverton over the narrow bridge TURN LEFT IMMEDIATELY. Friendly & helpful wardens who run the place very well indeed. There are 2 small toilet blocks and about 70 pitches in total. The site is a short walk to the town and the town has nice shops, pubs, coffee shops & bakeries (ask the wardens where it is, it's worth the walk). There is an ATM in the Co-op, which itself was quite extensive. Dulverton was the location for the film "Land Girls" so you should expect the 1940's feel, in part. Noise? There is no noise and the pitches are well laid out. Site appears to be in a valley 'bowl', so expect to see lots of trees from your pitch. Bolton Abbey is still my favourite.. but this is a really good site

Tranquil site

This site is lovely, in a peaceful setting and with very friendly and helpful wardens. This was out first visit here and we didn't know the area too well so were delighted to find it so pleasing. The facilities were all clean and in good order, the setting is lovely and it is ideal for enjoying some of the nearby National Trust properties, walking, cycling, etc. It is also somewhere you can just stay on site, read and relax. We honestly couldn't fault it and would happily go back again if we want to holiday in the area again.

SO PLEASED WE HAVE FOUND THIS AMAZING SITE

Just returned from our first visit to this lovely site in Dulverton on the edge of Exmoor. Possibly the best campsite we have ever stayed at - just couldn’t fault anything about it. Debbie and Keith the wardens do an excellent job of keeping the site beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they are so friendly and always smiling. Both the site and the town of Dulverton seemed so relaxed and friendly. We will return to this beautiful site and town. Having read other reviews we chose to eat at The Bridge public house and were a little disappointed to find that we felt it didn’t meet our expectations. On the other hand we also ate at The Copper Kettle Tea Rooms and that was a lovely surprise with a beautiful garden where we chose to sit - their food was excellent and the service and atmosphere unbeatable. One of the particularly nice elements of this weekend away was how dog friendly the site and whole area is - dogs welcome everywhere. One thing to note if you haven’t been there before is that vehicular access to the site is obtained by driving through the Bridge public house car park - the sign indicating this is very small and easy to miss and due to our sat nav behaving badly we drove past which meant doing a lap of Dulverton - not easy in a big vehicle. Looking forward already to returning and hope to find Debbie and Keith still there.

Little gem on the edge of Exmoor

Just returned from our first visit to this lovely site in Dulverton on the edge of Exmoor. Possibly the best campsite we have ever stayed at - just couldn’t fault anything about it. The amazing weather this weekend helped but the campsite itself is I am sure charming in any weather and at any time of year. Keith and Debbie the wardens do an amazing job of keeping the site beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they are so friendly and always smiling. Both the site itself and the little town of Dulverton possess a relaxed, laid back and very friendly atmosphere. We will return to this beautiful site and town. Having read other reviews we chose to eat at The Bridge public house and were a little disappointed to find that we felt it didn’t meet our expectations completely. However it was a Bank Holiday weekend and very busy. This has to be our favourite site

Yesterday we returned home from out 5th visit to Exmoor House in 3 years - this has to be our favourite site! Its perfectly located within the Exmoor National Park which offers fantastic scenery and all that Exmoor has to offer including the opportunity to spot the wild deer (North of Simonsbath). There are lots of good walks direct from the site including the 13 mile stretch along the river and up to Hawkridge and Tarr Stepps and back (the Sunday roast was worth it). There are lots of shops for all our everyday needs within the small charming town of Dulverton including a good pub, wine bar/restaurant, butchers and a well stocked Co-op all within easy walking distance from the site (don’t miss the fabulous cream-tea at Marsh Bridge - a must!). However, perhaps this is our favourite site because of the site itself. A warm welcome from the Wardens always awaits us to this immaculate site. At the entrance there is wonderful welcoming display of summer flowers with all their colours - a delight on the eye (especially the marvellous hanging baskets). The toilet blocks are always clean and tidy as are the pitches. The Wardens are clearly dedicated in their role here, always with a smile, always helpful and always at hand if needed. We’ll be back again!

Wonderful site, location and facilities!

We stayed in our motorhome for 3-nights in July 2019, our first visit to the site. It has a beautiful flower display to welcome you to the site, and two excellent and friendly wardens (Debbie and Keith). There are two toilet/shower blocks, both spotlessly clean. It is an easy walk to Dulverton with plenty of shops, a Co-op, butcher and cafes/restaurants/pubs. The Bridge Inn is excellent. We wish we’d stayed longer before moving onto Lynton (where we stayed on a private site which was not a patch on this Club site). A great site and we look forward to returning.

Cracking Site

Stayed at this site for 3 Nights, in July 2019, on arrival we thought What a Lovely display of flowers and shrubs at the entrance and around the site, all down to the Wardens Keith and Debbie who were absolutely fantastic, nothing was to much trouble for them, they worked so hard keeping the site clean and tidy. The site is very close to the town of Dulverton well within walking distance, also a Great pub about a 5 Minute walk from the site, serving great food and beers. There is also lots of lovely walks very close, We will be Back thanks again Keith and Debbie see you again
