First Timer

Just bought 2012 VW California and this was our first outing. Great initial contact with Debbie who explained the rules of the site and how to find a pitch and get settled in. Keith was a super star who was very experienced in all things VW. Then disaster happened - no gas and no cuppa Keith to the rescue thought it might be a faulty regulator and contacted Masons Kings who said they would sort me out. One hour later back on site cup of tea in hand all sorted. We've had a great introduction into the world of Camper-vanning and can't wait for our next adventure and to be sure we'll re-visit Exmoor House when hopefully the weather will be somewhat kinder to us.

FANTASTIC LOCATION

Small site ideally located for Dulverton and surrounding areas. Site and facilities immaculate and wardens very friendly. Walk to Dulverton village (5 minutes) where there is a well-stocked Co-op or walk to the bridge and sit by the river Walk through Blenheim Gardens in Minehead and visit Dunster village The Grand Western Canal in Tiverton has paths ideal for cycling and walking. The tea rooms provide huge portions, a high tea for 2 came with 8 sandwiches (choice of 2 fillings), 4 scones with jam & cream and 3 different cakes for £17.50. Car parking at the Canal is £3 all day. There is a circular walk around the Tarr Steps which is pleasant and you can stop along the way for a picnic If you love cream teas, visit Periwinkle Cottage at Selworthy and then walk across Exmoor to Dunkery Beacon - plenty of free parking along the route Wimbleball Lake has a footpath which runs around the whole lake - 9 miles in total. Please note you cannot cycle all around the lake Lots to see and do in this area and wardens always ready to give advice - looking forward to visiting again

This site is like a magnet!

Never fail to enjoy our stays at this site. Great wardens, great facilities and great location. This was our second visit this year and we will be back a few more times before the year is out!

Fabulous location

What a little gem this site is. We had intended to stay a few nights then move on, but ended up staying a week. Dulverton is lovely with lots of independent shops that are bucking the trend and seem to be thriving. The walking is great and amazing scenery. Loads of interesting places to visit. The site is beautifully clean and nicely laid out and with two shower blocks there are plenty of showers/toilets. We had relief wardens Bill and Bridget most of the time we were there and they were super helpful. Make sure to find the bakery shop. It is a fair walk away from town, but well worth the effort!! I feel a regular visit coming on.

The wardens Debbie and Keith make this site

I stay here on a regular basis because of its accessibility and location. Tucked away behind the Exmoor National Park HQ in a riverside location, its just a couple of minutes of walk into Dulverton with a good selection of pubs, including an excellent wine bar/bistro; Thai restaurant and fish and chips, together with a well supplied Co-op and also butchers, chemist, tea shops etc you hope for in a large village. There are also often good shows and films on in the town hall (as seen in the film 'Land Girls'. A great location to leave your camper and walk or cycle around Exmoor. The wardens Keith and Debbie are first class, ever so friendly, helpful, cheery and well travelled.

We’ll be back!

Discovered Dulverton last Christmas on a drive out while staying at Minehead. Were so impressed with the look and location of the Exmoor House site, we booked for the Easter holiday. We had a great stay. Dulverton is a busy, friendly town, lots of pubs, fish and chips, cream teas, large second hand book shop - we didn’t want for anything. Great weather helped to have a very enjoyable stay. Wardens are first class - everything is kept spotlessly clean, but there’s a warm relaxed atmosphere. Max enjoyed the dog run and the walks out exploring. Thank you.

Not so Dull Dulverton

Easy access, pitch 27 massive, avoid serviced pitches they are packed in. Be warned there is a dead end on this site so don't get caught out like some we saw. By the river a good spot. Wardens Fab. Facilities Fab. The town lovely. A good co-op, butchers, etc. Local friendly. Visite the info centre museum and model railway a must. We did Dunster Castle and town, Porlock Weir and the Beacon. This is a true gem of a site. A few narrow bits in/out. Wardens have set arrvl and dep times same, so I suggest arriving an hr after kick out to avoid traffic conflict, then leaving an hr earlier. This one of my top Club sites. The best kept secret ---- oops........

A perfect stay

Used this site as a “shakedown” for our new motorhome. The site location, the facilities and its attractiveness is beyond reproach and the welcome and friendliness of the staff is both warm and generous. The weather on this first visit was not conducive but we will be back soon for some walks nearby. Dulverton is very conveniently on the doorstep and is well worth a few hours to mooch around the shops and attractions.
