Good site excellent Wardens

We stayed at this site for 2 nights in July 2019. The site itself didn't feel particularly big but it has 2 toilet blocks which was great. Al the pitches are hardstanding and were standard club size. The village of Dulverton is right on the doorstep & it has a few pubs and a coop. I must say that the Warden at this site was 1st class and a credit to the club he was friendly helpful and wanted to help. I don't know his name but he was a gent. We were only here for 2 nights but would stay again.

Lovely clean site in peaceful location

Our first visit to a club site for sometime but really enjoyed our stay. We stayed 5 nights and had great weather which makes all the difference. The wardens were lovely and friendly and did everything they could to make your stay enjoyable.. All of the facilities were immaculate and the flowers and gardens beautifully maintained. The village of Dulverton had everything you need such as a great fish and chip shop, local butchers and a great pub The Bridge Inn near the river. We are already looking forward to visiting again hopefully this year before the end of the season.

Excellent site and lovely wardens

Loved this site and will definitely return. Great for walks and local pubs are friendly and welcoming. We had a young puppy with us who received plenty of cuddles from the warden, Debbie (Teddy says hi). Site was always clean and efficient whilst maintaining a relaxed vibe.

What a quiet & peaceful site.

We spent 4 nights here and from our arrival we knew that this was a calm & relaxing site. The wardens are very helpful, polite and friendly and gave us so much useful information regarding off site walking with our dog. However, he preferred to spend as much time as possible in the nearby river - as did many other dogs. Dulverton is an ‘olde worlde’ type town, and was a pleasure for us to wander through.— The only downside for us as motorhomers (who don’t tow a car) is the difficulty in exploring further afield in this area.

Absolutely our favourite site

This is my number one favourite site, it is faultless. When we arrived, to the beautiful flower laden site we were welcomed by Keith, the planter of the flowers, who explained the site to us and when we said we wanted a shady site, advised us to have 56 and it was perfect, lovely shade, we aren’t sun worshippers. He asked if we had a lump hammer as the ground was hard, we didn’t, so he lent us one. The pitches are large, plenty of room for our California and the awning and as I said, a lovely shady site, just a short stroll to the absolutely immaculate toilet block and bins and water, so ideal, a great little enclosed area for “exercising” our dog, with a handy bin. The location couldn’t be better, right on the edge of dulverton village with its excellent shops, restaurants and cafes, whenever we saw Keith he checked to see if we were enjoying our stay and he even remembered it was my birthday. We will be back many times I know it.

Peaceful

Although a peaceful and clean site it is quite compact if you don’t get the right pitch which unfortunately we had pitch 65 next to the toilet block. We didn’t have much choice when we arrived because we were told that our motorhome was longer than 6 meters (6.4) and with the bike rack was more like 8! Apparently we should of informed them of this when booking. When we arrived there was some oohs and ahah as to whether there was actually any room for us. We are members of the caravan and Motorhome club so they know the length of our unit and when we booked no where was there any mention of size. I must add though that I think they were stand-in wardens. Dulverton village is an easy walk and the fish and chips are amazing.

Wonderful location will use this site again.

We stayed here during wet June. Glad we chose a pitch away from the river as it was dark there, we like seeing the sun . The excellent bakers is a ten minute walk away along the stream near the site it’s a lot longer by road. Lynmouth is a lovely place to visit. We went to Knightshayes and Arlington court both national trust places. Barnstable market is on a Friday ..If coming from Weymouth do not use the A373 from Honiton to Cullompton that I used stopping and reversing a caravan is no fun! Use the A30 M5. Morrison’s in Tiverton easy to get to although the local garage sells fuel at a good price. Wardens keep the place clean and tidy despite the rain . They don’t have a tractor so rubbish is carted off in a wheelbarrow ,make it easier for them and take your rubbish to the large bins near the entrance.
