Stayed here in early June for one night on our tour around Scotland. Nice compact site with great views of the hills. Good dog walking through the forest adjacent to the site. Culloden battlefield only 1.5 miles away and Inverness about 4. Enjoyed our stay and would come back.
ENJOYED OUR STAY
Disappointed that we had surprise visitors at the site who unfortunately [according to the assistant warden] were not allowed into the site due to the data protection of members. Our visitors tried to phone us from the site unfortunately there is a very poor signal. No disrespect to the wardens they were doing their job. I cannot understand this one way system it is a joke. We have been visiting Culloden for 20 years + & have never seen any accidents or near misses at any of the exits. Exits that had to give way were clearly marked. Now all traffic exiting the site have to drive around the site & negotiate a very sharp tight left corner at the toilet block & then the children's play park which is very unsafe. Lack of Wifi is a miss. I think the site at Ardtower will be of great competition to Culloden.

One way system is awful
This is a lovely site, we've been twice this year and really like it. The facilities are superb and the wardens are lovely. The road is noisy at times, and lack of wifi is a big miss. I'm surprised there's no wifi as its not in the middle of nowhere. There's a Tesco Xtra about 4 or 5 miles away and the Eastgate Centre in Inverness is fabulous if shopping is your thing. The one way system on the site needs looking at. Do visit this site, Culloden Battlefield just up the road is great and you can walk your dog there, although there is a more than decent dog walk on the site too.

Nice site
Lovely site but I think a bit picky about how you park. Big let down with lack of Internet unless you signed up to caravan club wfi as we found it really difficult to find places of interest and sightseeing places.
We had to leave the site and stop down the road to check places out.
Ideal for base for sightseeing as we travelled all over and it was pretty centered.
Staff was lovely and chatty.
The site was spotless and the toilet/shower block clean
Lovely site
Warm and friendly wardens , site is immaculate , toilet block is one of the best i have seen. Why a new one way system was put in i dont know as you have to drive right round the whole site going past the kids play park to get out . The old system worked very well . Wi fi and some serviced pitches would bring this site to be one of the best around
Very handy for Inverness.
Very handy for Inverness as Bus Stop outside of site gate.Toilets and facilities up to usual very good Caravan Club Standards.Felt hosts could have been more engaging.
Really enjoyed this site
We stopped here just one night on our tour of Scotland. We found the wardens very friendly and the site lovely and clean and the toilet block was spotless. The motorhome service point is one of the best we have seen. Will definitely use again if in the area.
Good for Inverness
We stayed here for two nights during our two week tour of Scotland. As other members have said the site is sloping & you will need a couple of sets of levelling blocks & pitches on lower part of site will suffer road noise. Motor van service point was out of order - looked new but not that well situated as you have to back into it on a bit of a bend in the site road. Good welcome from warden. Bus stop just down the road with frequent buses to the moor visitor centre & on into Inverness.
Good standard CC site
MSVP was out of action for a few days but the wardens made sensible alternative plans. Site is on a slight slope so most pitches require levelling blocks for motor caravans. Information point is the best I can recall in 26 years of membership; the shed even includes pen and paper for making notes as well as wall to wall information on what to do.
Site was more noisy than I expected but we were pitched on the one exit road and within hearing distance of the external highway. It is not a significant issue.
Inverness is truly geared up for the international tourist of all ages. There is a bus from the site but check the timetable because there are several hours during the day when buses do not run. It's a mile and a half walk on safe paths to the Battlefield which is worth a visit with its relatively new Visitor Centre.
A great base for venturing into the Highlands and Black Isle but the site lacked the pixie dust to make it extraordinarily good.
Well situated
Satisfactory site biggest problem lack of any level pitches and the awkward road on site the facilities good and clean the new site ready to open will give some competition
