Accommodating Staff

Stayed here for two nights recently so we could see Rod Stewart in concert. We arrived at 20:20, and had phoned two days in advance to advise we would just use the late arrivals. Whilst parking the warden approached us to say they were waiting for two other units to arrive so we were let on site, much to our delight. As always the facilities were immaculate and the campsite full but nice and quiet. On this occasion we did not have the kids however we have booked again for September for another concert this time with the kids!

Quick visit

Only stayed one night as en route to Dunnet Bay. Welcomed warmly by warden. Facilities all clean and in excellent condition. Enjoyed excellent fish and chips from the visiting van which comes on Wednesdays and Sundays. Good dog walk in forest. There is some road noise so pick your pitch carefully.

weekend stay

i think it is shocking what they have done to the roads on site i have a large 4x4 plus 6metre caravan since they have closed of 2 road you have to go round the hole site the corner at the top of site you cannot get round with out having to reverse back and forwards approx three time to get round and also the corner beside the toilets you have to cross over the other site to get round just as well the site was empty or i would never have got round with out going over the kerbs and might damage a tyre i have stayed on the site over the last 10 to 12 years but will not return to site with the roads like that

Disappointing Visit

Joined the caravan club as was new to Motorhome Erving and chose to stay at this site for the very first time.  The journey took much longer than anticipated and was met by the offer of staying in the car park for our first night until I explained that I was traveling with my 81 yr old mum, was then allowed onsite at 8pm, the warden completely ignored us and was extremely unhelpful. Will definitely not be visiting this site again and not what I expected from a CC site.

Our Tour of Scotland

This site has warm and welcoming staff, the toilet blocks were very clean and most up to date we have seen since we started our tour 6 weeks ago. The dog walk is excellent, easy access to a large forest. This was a really great experience, thank you from  Lynda & Roger ( Jack & Sophie the dogs)??

Peaceful site

We stayed 2 nights here, peaceful, helpful wardens, and extremely clean shower block. We went to the battle field, and walked around it, for 3 hours, very moving. A must see is Fort George, try and get on a tour, doesn't cost extra, helpful guide. Good cuppa in the café, with home made tea bags! Site very busy, but so quiet.

Relaxing Site

A great position, very peaceful and tranquil site. The wardens were friendly and helpful and the site was very well maintained. I liked the layout but, saw a couple of people get caught out because they hadn't read the signs and ended up in a cul de sac - keep the layout but, possibly reposition or make the signs larger. The toilet and shower block was extremely clean and well kept despite lots of muddy users. The grounds and lawns were neat and tidy. Overal a very good experience.

Excellent Site

We had a wonderful long weekend at this site. It was one of the best sites we have visited. Fantastic facilities which were immaculate.  Site was fully booked yet very peaceful. Will look forward to a return visit.

nice site

Peaceful, very clean, neat and tidy site. Handy for Inverness and surrounding area yet far enough from town to be quiet and tranquil. Site facilities well maintained and of a high standard. Revised road design within the site doesn't seem sensible as now all vehicles have to drive past the play area whereas before it could be avoided by most. Overall a nice site which I'll use again and would recommend to others.

Wonderful views and quiet at the top of the site

Stayed here in early June for one night on our tour around Scotland. Nice compact site with great views of the hills. Good dog walking through the forest adjacent to the site. Culloden battlefield only 1.5 miles away and Inverness about 4. Enjoyed our stay and would come back.
