We stayed 2 nights last week & would have extended our stay had the weather forecast not been so bad. This is a gem of a site - definitely peaceful (some pitches too near the road for my liking but we had plenty of choice) large, level pitches with plenty of lawn space; a delightful welcome; the warden team were all friendly & professional; everything spotlessly clean and - my favourite thing - the showers aren't those silly push buttons that only give you 20 seconds of water! We needed to make use of the laundry facilities too which were also excellent.
The location is great for exploring the area. Dog walk from site through Culloden Forest is beautiful. I wish we lived closer so we could go more often - this is a gem of a site.
Beautiful quiet site
Stayed for three nights - really peaceful and quiet site. The views over the hills are beautiful.
Just along the road is Culloden battlefield which was thought provoking!
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the facilities really clean
Great site
Enjoyable stay. Friendly and helpful staff. Good facilities. Excellent dog walking area. Handy bus stop just over the road to go to Culloden Battlefield visitor center or into Inverness.
Lovely site
Had 5 nights here in May , clean toilet block, well layed out pitches , brilliant dog walk. Great area for visiting Inverness and the Black Isle , definitely recommended
Excellent Stay at this Lovely Site
We stayed on this site for two nights and were very impressed. The facilities were excellent and superbly maintained by the wardens. The grounds too were nicely laid out and well cared for. The wardens themselves were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. The site is very well placed, not only for visiting the battlefield with all its history but also for visiting Inverness. We only had a short stay, but will definitely return at some point.

Exit Route Tight
Just returned from a very pleasant stay for 8 nights. The site and the Wardens could not have been better. The only negative is the corner to negotiate near the toilet block is tight for a large twin axle van. Your information states max length of outfit 9 metres. Our van is 8.5 so within your guidelines, however if you tow with a Range Rover/Land Rover which is nearly 5 metres it is a difficult turn. My husband has towed these outfits for 37 years so is not a novice this is the only site where one last turn is tricky. The lady warden was with us at the time and agreed, we appreciate the turn was made tighter due to children being safe but this needs looking at as it appears the measurements did not account for a large vehicle towing a large van.

Peaceful spot, great view, best dog walk & really friendly wardens
Only stayed here for one night but would definitely want to return - with dogs next time! The best dog walk (forest) of any of the sites we’ve stayed on. Wardens were a pleasure to deal with. Made us feel very welcome after a long drive. The facilities were a little tired (hence the 4) but very clean and functional. Did everything we needed. Blocks needed for sloping pitches but we had a fabulous view and no light pollution. Great sky at night.
Would definitely recommend & have earmarked it for a return stay.
Thank you.
September 2023
We spent 5 nights here, wardens were lovely and very helpful. The site was very clean but it had rained and our pitch didn't drain away like others. Beautiful views and lots to do in the area.
A must is Culloden battlefield, Fort George, Fort Augustus. We took sometime out to go to Dunrobin Castle, OMG that place is stunning they had a falconry display the day we were there
We will definitely be back
Lovely site
Very clean, brilliant location and an excellent dog walk from the site. You can walk for miles around the woodland. Loved this site

Lacks the "wow" factor
Traveling through the UK for 8 weeks, so I can easily compare camping sites.
We are also members of the significantly cheaper Camping & Caravanning Club.
I can be brief:
Wardens (relief): okay, but not over-active
Pitches: normal
Sanitary facilities: fine
Wifi: bad
Price: expensive
TV reception: good
Water points: good
Waste location: good
Dog walk: okay
