Well kept site

Stayed for two nights before venturing onto the NC 500. Lovely clean and well kept site. Facilities were excellent and very clean. Site staff were very helpful and got us sorted when we had a problem with hooking up to the electric. Really enjoyed our time in Inverness and will definitely go back to explore more.

Wonderful stay

We stayed at Culloden Moor site early August for 2 weeks and had a lovely holiday. The site wardens (Joe and Sarah) were very helpful and worked tirelessly to keep the site immaculate. So much so that they didn't appear to have a day off in all the time that we stayed with them. They appeared to work long days but were always friendly and helpful. An asset to the club. Personally I wouldn't want to be parked at the bottom of the site as there seemed to be quite abit of road noise there. However we were sited near the toilet facilities (as requested) and this was lovely as water, waste and toilets were close by. As usual and sadly with many sites, people were cutting through our pitch to take a short cut, which I find extremely rude. The wardens had placed a fence to try and deter this but it was just climbed over and this was both adults and children. There is plenty to do in the local area, Inverness and Loch Ness are a must. We had a lovely day on the Black Isle which holds part of the NC500 and it was beautiful.

Best Wardens or Site Managers ever

We have been members of the Caravan Club for over 20 years and Sarah and Joe the Wardens at this site are the best we have ever encountered. We left our previous site at Bunree a day early by mistake but Sarah told us to pitch up and she would sort it out as she couldnt refund us for the day at Bunree because we hadnt told them we were leaving early. When I went back to reception she had contacted head office and sorted everything out and I got a refund of £8 because the pitch fees were cheaper. They run the site themselves and they have it immaculate even on rainy days Joe was out cutting hedges and from our pitch I could see Joe run out to vans to collect barrier cards from units that were leaving never seen this in any site before and if they were in reception they would raise the barrier as you drove up to it, exceptional service. As for the comments about arriving 15 mins early there is room on the arrival area for about three units so you arrive 15 mins early somebody arrives 10 mins early and somebody arrives 5 mins early and I arrive just after 1 following the rules so I have to wait on the road no chance. There are at least two lay byes prior to the site entrance not to mention the usual supermarket car parks in Inverness. Plan your arrival and dont blame the wardens for enforcing the entry time.

100% Amazing Site, Friendly Welcome, Daughter Loved it aswell as our dog. Book it now!

Really great site, spent 21/8/23 until 28/08/23 and no issues at. Love this site as it was our first time visiting and will booking again for 2024 in July. Facilitates are one of the best we have seen. My Daughter loved the play area and the dog walk great too. Site not too far from local supermarkets etc… and about 30-40 mins drive to Loch Ness. Brilliant. Keep up the work C&MC staff running the site, always clean and tidy. Respect to you as you even emptied bins and done ground keeping in some really heavy rain. See you soon :-)

Not so warm welcome

C&M need to review new 1pm entry rule in my opinion. We arrived 15 early and wanted to park in empty on site arrival area and wait until 1pm to check in so we could get off the busy road. However, whilst male warden explained we had to leave site until after 1pm a rude female warden emerged to tell my wife to ‘just go away and come back in 20 minutes’. The rude arrival continued when I booked in. No welcome to site or other pleasantry - glad I had been a few times before and already liked the site as the welcome would have put us off going back. We did notice the ‘No entry’ sign being removed at 12:50 a few days later to allow entry, so if the rule is the rule it needs to be applied consistently. The site itself is always a favourite of ours and never had issues anytime before.

Warm Welcome

Lovely site with great hosts. I got a really warm welcome when I arrived at the site last week. In fact the lady at the reception came running out her office to welcome me. Site was clean and tidy. I was asked to dismantle my windbreak as they were going to be cutting the grass. I dismantled it, but the grass was never cut during my stay, so I found that all quite odd. The campsite was easy to find and close to the lovely city of Inverness.

Needs Updating

We really enjoyed this site but for how much we’re paying I would have expected a better standard of showering facilities. It’s a lovely quiet site and a good position for getting around the area. Do not take the advice of the club’s information sheet recommending the Culloden Moor Inn, it’s absolutely disgusting and smells of urine! The relief wardens on site when we visited ( Jeanette and husband) we’re so helpful and friendly, an asset to the club. Considering how much the club is now charging per night I think to keep their members they need to review the price as most people we spoke to are now considering cancelling their membership.

PERFECT LOCATION

Do not hesitate to book this site. It is the perfect distance from the city centre to be truly peaceful, but near enough to all amenities for those of us touring the area. With large supermarkets and fuel a short drive away along with a choice of tourist attractions within and around Inverness the Black Isle and the Moray coast. With a genuine warm welcome from the wardens we felt relaxed within minutes of our arrival, which was quite a relief after diversions off the A9 due to accidents. It is obvious this site is very well looked after.

Lovely clean and quiet site with great views

We stayed in our motorhome for 2 nights at the end of May 2023. It was a little hilly, but very spacious with plenty of powered pitches. The site itself was spotlessly clean with well maintained grounds. The utility block was lovely and warm, with hot water, plenty of showers and toilets and was also spotlessly clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the check-in was very quick. Whilst the site backed onto farmland with sheep in the field, you didn't really hear them, so there was no disturbance to our sleep. There were lovely views of the mountains as well. The dog walking area was fantastic. You went through a gate into a large wooded area, where we were allowed to let our dog off the lead because she stays with us and doesn't chase sheep. The children's play area was good for younger ones, but there wasn't anything, apart from the woods, for older children. There was a largish grass area, but ball games are not allowed here. Just outside of the site is a residential area of the village of Culloden Moor. We would return if we are in the area.
