Stayed May 2023 for three nights... The site wardens Sarah & Joe were friendly, knowledgeable & professional,
Showers & Toilets were spotless :-)
Culloden Battlefield a short distance away, Inverness, Loch Ness & Urquhart Castle worth a visit.
Site is very peacefull.
A lovely site in a great location.
This site certainly lived up its reputation on the CAMAC list where we enjoyed the remoteness and tranquillity in the north of Scotland. Although the weather was very indifferent during our stay, we thoroughly enjoyed our time on Culloden moor.
Following the tried and tested features and facilities that are on all CAMAC sites, the welcome was friendly and very helpful and facilities were well maintained and clean and looked as though they may have recently been refurbished.
I was quite surprised to learn that the site is viewed very often as a stopover for those embarking on the north coast 500, but would urge them to consider a longer stay to see Inverness and the surrounding areas and all they have to offer.
We took the time out to visit Nairn, and Fort George both close by and ventured further to Grantown on Spey and Aviemore, as well as going further north to Dornoch where the lovely beach was a welcome opportunity to blow away the cobwebs. In addition trips into Inverness and Dingwall were obligatory as I took a walk back down memory lane in an area that I lived in for five years from the mid 1950s. So much has changed!!
Highly recommended site and worth more than an overnight pitstop for those venturing onto or returning from the north coast 500.
This is an absolute gem of a club site.
We only had one night here after completing the NC500. The location is superb and we visited the Culloden Visitor Center and the Culloden Viaduct. The site is lovely and very well maintained, but our pitch was sloping and required some leveling.
Joe and Sarah the site managers are terrifically helpful. Joe makes lovely NC500 souvenirs plaques which are for sale on site, together with ice-creams etc.
At the time of visiting in April 2023 there was absolutely no Wi-Fi provision, but this is likely to improve with the roll out of the new systems
We would have no hesitation in booking this site again when in the area.

Great facilities
The last night on our NC500 trip we stayed here, facilities far better than the commercial sites we stayed on! Hot powerfull showers and good dog walk through the woods. Close by the start and end of the NC500! Would use this site again!

March 2023
Lovely site. Staff helpful and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay. Facilities were great. Showers and toilets were spotless. Thank you so much we had a great time exploring the Black Isle.
great site for visiting Highlands
We were happy to return here in October - pleased to say the big pot hole at the entrance has been fixed :-)
Its handy for Inverness but you can also avoid the city if you want.
Lovely location with adjacent woods.
The site staff work very hard to keep facilities spotless and there are nice plantings around the site.
We come to the area often and have tried other campsites nearby but Culloden is our favourite for the warm welcome, the excellent facilities and the peaceful location.

Pretty good actually
Lovely location with plenty to visit & explore nearby. I am not sure that I agree with the description that this is a 'slightly sloping' site as I have never observed so many blocks and levellers in use by caravans and motorhomes. For our visit ( september 2022), the adjacent pitch was holding water early morning even though the rain had not been overly heavy overnight. I believe that some pitches need just a little TLC, perhaps after a very busy Summer.
The facilities on site are absolutely immaculate and that is a tribute to the hard work of the wardens. I found our welcoming assistant warden Richard to be very helpful and courteous, a fine ambassador for the Club.
First class for dog owners as there is a woodland walk adjacent to site. Entrance to the site is to a busy road and when we visited, there were potholes across the entrance way that need fixed.

Phoenix risen
Site is in a central location, be this for Highlands, Cairngorm's or the North Coast 500.
We have witnessed this site rise from the ashes left by previous wardens. The current wardens Joe and Sarah work relentlessly for the site, the grounds have been returned to pristine condition, toilet block and laundry area are immaculate , dog walk area us also very neat.
On arrival in Aug '22, we were greeted by the wardens who provided relevant site information [ as well as some suggestions as to where to visit and eat] If you fancy taking the bus into town there is a regular bus service, from just outside the site gates.
To sum up, top site, great location, fantastic wardens, we will definitely be back.
Return to Culloden
We visited Culloden first last year and returned again for 7 nights at the end of August 2022.
It is very well run by the principle wardens Joe and Sarah. The site is a credit to their hard work, the most pleasant greeting on arrival, and nothing is too much trouble for them.
We were pleased when we arrived this time to see that there was an assistant warden couple there as we had seen last year the site was a lot of work for just one couple, although you would never notice because of the extremely high standard of the overall maintenance of the site.
Part way through our stay, the assistants were sent off elsewhere which coincided with Joe being off sick. This left Sarah working single handed.
She of course coped although we felt it was extremely bad management on behalf of OUR club, and not a way the staff who look after us should be treated.
It is a terrific site which we would highly recommend and we shall certainly return, hopefully with Joe and Sarah still in charge, but with a permanent assistant couple there as well.
Great Scottish Site
We stayed for nearly 2 weeks in August 2022 and loved the site. It was so quiet both during the day and at night. The site has large gravel pitches and superbly maintained grass and flower beds/containers. The site staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. Toilets and showers were the usual high standard. The site was ideally located to explore and see the coastline, walks, waterfalls, Inverness and the Moray dolphins.
