Culloden Stay

A lovely site with excellent clean, warm shower block and good hardstanding pitches & friendly wardens. Site is easy to get to and well placed for visiting lots of places including the NT Culloden Battlefield, Fort George, Cawdor Castle, Inverness. Highlight of our hol was seeing the pod of dolphins at 5pm on 2 occasions at Chanonry Point. They were so close to shore it was amazing watching them tossing fish out of the water right in front of us and leaping out of the water riding the waves. The only negatives about the site are the lack of wifi, the one way system round the site so that you have to pass by the childrens playground which is alongside the road everytime you leave, which is really dangerous when there are children running about there, and the noise from the road, trains and the aircraft from Inverness airport if you are used to quiet - however don't let this put you off visiting this lovely site, it's a great place to stay.

Great site

we stayed here 20th March nice friendly welcome and music playing in the wash areas was a lovely touch. Great for visiting Culloden battle site as it is just a mile up the road and also Inverness. Everything clean and well maintained.

Top Top Site

Have stayed over many years it has always being a top site, recently updated. Ā Wardens/Site managers are helpful and friendly. Ā Visited Tattoo is Sept excellent show, much easier than Ā 'Edinburgh'. Ā Good dog walk but please pick up and bin it, Ā bye the way not advised to walk dog on f/path on main road, far too busy. Will be back!

Top Site

This site is situated in a perfect place to visit Inverness, its quiet, very well looked after, luxury facilities that are well looked after by friendly staff. Only thing the site lacks is WI-FI to keep up with the technology required in this modern technical times. The grounds are very well kept and has a good information room and telephone kiosk, Good forest walks for dog owners near by. Could say perfect in every way.

Contentment

I was head marshal for a Highland Centre Rally, arriving on the 3rd December 2015. Having met the wardens before we recieved our usual warm cheery welcome form Jill & Geoff Forest. the theme of the rally was Christmas, how nice to see the entrance decorated for Christmas. Jill opened our rally dressed a Santa, a 1st for the Highland Centre and to the delight of the ralliers. Jill & Geoff even cooked our Turkey for our Three course Christmas Dinner. The 11 members caravaners enjoyed our stay, even though the weather was terrible. bit of flooding Saturday but all drained away by the Sunday for the vans leaving. East Grinstead should be pround of these two wardens the site & toilet block immaculate. Thank you Jill & Geoff

Should have stayed longer!

Stayed only one night sadly, perfect base for visiting the charming city of Inverness and the wider area, but still managed to visit the famous battlefield just a mile or so down the road, you can still visit the site without paying 11 pound to go into the museum. Plenty of walking around the area, a regular bus service to Inverness 6 miles away, lovely wardens on duty who made us very welcome, will visit again next year.

Perfect Highland Base

Fantastic location, well kept, with very friendly staff. The dog walk is one of the best, with a forest adjacent to and accessable from the site. The newly refurbished toilet block was as expected a pleasure to use. The directions to the site as printed in the handbook were incorrect, not great, and not uncommon, the proof reader needs to up their game. Unfortunately the site still has no internet, and mobile signal is also very poor.

Helpful staff

Staff very good, we stopped in August, mobile phone reception for the internet was non existent and the site doesn't do wi-fi so this could be a problem for some.
