BACK AGAIN

Our second visit to this amazing site - we spent 2 nights and 2 wonderful days exploring the Culloden Moor Battlefield, Fort George and Cawdor Castle. These are all "not to miss" experiences. The site is perfect as a base, excellent for dog walking and has probably the best shower block ever. The only downside - No WiFi - I can't understand the lack of this facility when so close to a major city.

Brilliant

We stayed here for 3 nights in August 2016. We wished we had booked for longer, it's a lovely site, very clean, showers brilliant. Lady in office friendly and cheerful. We really enjoyed our stay, will defiantly go back. A love area too, plenty of things to do. Not sure I would take my grandchildren here, I feel it's more of a quiet relaxing place if you know what I mean. There weren't any children staying when we were there, although they have a lovely play area. I think we see it differently now as our children are grown up, now it's just the two of us...... And our little dog, he loved it. It's dog friendly and has great dog walking around it. Would recommend this site for sureĀ

What a return,

First visited this site around thirty nine years ago and really don't know why it has taken so long to return ? Obviously the site has totally changed, as expected the site is kept immaculate by the friendly wardens, toilets/showers etc. have to be amongst the finest in the club. Lovely quiet pitch but we were nearer the back of the site and I suspect there may be road noise if you pitched to the south of the site. As dog owners the dog walk is amazing, following the forrest road to its end and return is exactly 1.9 miles and the walk to the excellent Culloden centre and return 3.9 miles. Our only other visit was to Fort George and I would say no matter your interests you would enjoy at least a couple of hours or more, an added bonus is the excellent cafe where you can sit outside with your pets, the friendly staff even brought out a bowl of water for our dogs.

Site wifi would be a bonus as telephone coverage on O2 is not the greatest.

Great site for Inverness

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of touring Scotland. The site is ideal for Inverness which is a great town lots of shops and supermarkets about 6 mile away. The best find is the Culloden Inn which is about 1 mile from the site. The food is excellent well priced and really big portions definitely recommend this pub. Great views from our corner pitch good dog walk area as with all caravan club sites wifi hit and miss but overall would visit again if visiting InvernessĀ

Terrific site

Totally impressed with Wardens, helpful and chatty. Toilets and site were immaculate. Bit away from Inverness, but a bus at the gate takes you into town in about 15 minutes. No wifi, but this is a small price to pay.
