We have stayed at Crystal Palace site a number of times now and I am sure we will stay again. It's location makes it an excellent site for exploring London and nearby areas. Facilities are fine for a city centre site, but those looking for an 'all inclusive' style site should look elsewhere. The toilet block is fine, although looking a little tired. My only criticism is the Wi-Fi available (at a modest cost) is poor and, in my opinion, unfit for purpose. I had 4 devices I tried this with and in all cases, the connection process was unreliable and once connected, connections often failed. This is despite the signal strength being fairly strong in and around my van (about -65dBm).
Great Location For Visiting London
This site is a typical Caravan Club Site..... well maintained, excellent facilities, clean, plenty of hot water for showers & washing up, helpful and courteous staff.
The location has a good, regular, bus service via the number 3 bus into the centre of London, just 10-15 minutes walk away. The Crystal Palace Railway Station is a 20 minute walk away.
There are plenty of shops and food takeaways within 20 minutes walk.
This is the second tome we have used this site and we can thoroughly recommend it.

Well run site
Surprisingly quiet except for aircraft noise which starts at 6am.Most pitches hard standing.Helpful wardens. No 3 bus to Westminster/Regent St useful for London.National Maritime Museum @ Greenwich extremely interesting -something for everybody and it's free.Agree with the other reviews. For a family wanting to 'do' London [or parts of it] this would be a cost-effective and attractive option.South Circular route into site a do-able option but A23/M25 route easier.Whichever, allow time -it is London !!
A Gem
This was our first visit to this site as we were lucky enough to have won tickets for Wimbledon in the Ballot. After research this was the best site to get to Wimbledon. We discovered it would have been easier to ignore the sat nav to get to this site as we went a long way around, but what a surprise to find this site in a busy area yet hidden away next to Crystal Palace Park. Only met 2 wardens, but the lady was so kind and helpful, advising on the train etc to Wimbledon and also the Number 3 bus to London. The train station is a 15 minute walk across the park. The site is very well maintained, shower block immaculate. The wardens were constantly at work, nothing was too much effort when we went to the office. Crystal Palace Park is wonderful next door for a long walk, and if you have children there is a Dinosaur Park and boating lake. On departure we were given written directions to get to the M4. Thank you
Good site
Very impressed with this site. Crystal Palace central is within walking distance and the No3 bus will get you into London and back (30 mins)
Staff very friendly and helpful and the facility itself is spotless and well arranged. Nearby road is background noise but not very intrusive. Recommended to get to central London
Short break in London
My husband and I were fortunate enough to obtain Wimbledon tickets in the public ballot. We decided to build a five day London stay around this event and booked the Crystal Palace site. We have stayed several times previously and it never disappoints. The wardens recommended travelling by train to Clapham Junction and then picking up the no 39 bus which drops you right outside the All England Tennis club. It was brilliant and usually takes about an hour and a half door to door. This includes the 20 minute walk to the station. On the other days we caught the number 3 bus which stops close to the site and takes you directly into Piccadilly Circus in about an hour, traffic permitting. This bus runs 24 hours a day and is a frequent service. The campsite is excellent; the wardens are efficient and friendly. We particularly like the showers with their constant flow of hot water. This year, we helped ourselves to the free mint and added it to our salad. There are plenty of shops and restaurants within a ten minute walk of the site. We are already planning our next visit as this is probably one of our favourite Caravan Club sites. Thank you Crystal Palace.

Perfect for London
Ideal for a visit to London and Wimbledon and got train from CP station a 20 min walk across park. Toilet block a bit old but ok for couple of nights. 2 negatives. Why does the club let workmen in white vans to park tatty old caravans and MH's to stay long term on site disturbing members? This is just not on. Also why so many signs everywhere? One on cistern of WC "to flush push handle down" - really? Tidy site and serves the purpose well.
Crystal Palace site
First visit to this site so wasn't sure what to expect from a London site. However, we found it to be an excellent location and so easy to reach the centre of London by bus or train. The site is beautifully maintained and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Would recommend this site to anyone wanting to visit London. Won't hesitate to return again.

Crystal Palace
Facilities are ready for a face lift, but when the site is leased & under threat of being taken back by the local council to build houses on it, it can be understood why the club are not spending any money. That said the staff keep the facilities in perfect condition, just the visitors that messed them up.
If you need a taxi from the site we can recommend London Cars 020 8778 3000, prompt efficient, reliable service.
