Great site

Great site with super easy access into central London. Bus stop 5 minutes walk with buses every 10 minutes and a night bus if needed. Lovely clean site and facilities and very helpful staff. Easy walk into Crystal Palace and minutes to huge open spaces at Crystal PAlace Park. You will definitely need rock pegs (which we didn't have but were sold on site) as the hard standings are SUPER hard! Would definitely visit again. Last 5/6 miles to the site (we came from Cambridgeshire) has very busy traffic/built up areas as expected for so close to Central London, not for the faint hearted. A site not to be missed if you want to visit the sites of London.

west end

Great location for the West End. Bus 5 mins from the site takes you in 50 mins or so to all the tourist destinations of London throughout the day and night, £3 each way. Crystal Palace Park, not the caravan site end, the other end is a lovely place to visit , great for the kids, playground , dinosaur park, boating lake, cafe and a maize.

Great site but...

This is my third stay at Crystal Palace and it is a great place for carananners to visit London. However I spent eleven days under the trees and my car, caravan and awning were filthy at the end of my stay. I would advise that short stay campervans would be best placed on the pitches where trees are present. This site also sets the gold standard for impeneterable hardstanding on Club sites. But the staff are great and local facilities in the Palace area are brilliant.

Great site, so convenient for London

This is our third time to stay and we will be back. Its a great location for central London, we use the train which takes 30mins to either Victoria or Shoreditch. Good facilities and friendly staff, would highly recommend it.

Great site for access to London

This is the second time that we have visited this site and on both occasions we were visiting the capitol. With the number 3 bus right out side the door and taking you right into the centre of London this has to be the number one sight to stay at. Considering that the site in right in the suburbs of London it is really very quiet at night. The only comment that I would make is that you need to be fairly confident in towing your caravan as there is some fairly heavy traffic to deal with for the last eight miles or so but worth it when you get there.

An excellent base for a London holiday

We have stayed at Crystal Palace site a number of times now and I am sure we will stay again. It's location makes it an excellent site for exploring London and nearby areas. Facilities are fine for a city centre site, but those looking for an 'all inclusive' style site should look elsewhere. The toilet block is fine, although looking a little tired. My only criticism is the Wi-Fi available (at a modest cost) is poor and, in my opinion, unfit for purpose. I had 4 devices I tried this with and in all cases, the connection process was unreliable and once connected, connections often failed. This is despite the signal strength being fairly strong in and around my van (about -65dBm).

Great Location For Visiting London

This site is a typical Caravan Club Site..... well maintained, excellent facilities, clean, plenty of hot water for showers & washing up, helpful and courteous staff. The location has a good, regular, bus service via the number 3 bus into the centre of London, just 10-15 minutes walk away. The Crystal Palace Railway Station is a 20 minute walk away. There are plenty of shops and food takeaways within 20 minutes walk. This is the second tome we have used this site and we can thoroughly recommend it.

Well run site

Surprisingly quiet except for aircraft noise which starts at 6am.Most pitches hard standing.Helpful wardens. No 3 bus to Westminster/Regent St useful for London.National Maritime Museum @ Greenwich extremely interesting -something for everybody and it's free.Agree with the other reviews. For a family wanting to 'do' London [or parts of it] this would be a cost-effective and attractive option.South Circular route into site a do-able option but A23/M25 route easier.Whichever, allow time -it is London !!

A Gem

This was our first visit to this site as we were lucky enough to have won tickets for Wimbledon in the Ballot.  After research this was the best site to get to Wimbledon.  We discovered it would have been easier to ignore the sat nav to get to this site as we went a long way around, but what a surprise to find this site in a busy area yet hidden away next to Crystal Palace Park.  Only met 2 wardens, but the lady was so kind and helpful, advising on the train etc to Wimbledon and also the Number 3 bus to London.  The train station is a 15 minute walk across the park.   The site is very well maintained, shower block immaculate.  The wardens were constantly at work, nothing was too much effort when we went to the office.   Crystal Palace Park is wonderful next door for a long walk, and if you have children there is a Dinosaur Park and boating lake.  On departure we were given written directions to get to the M4.  Thank you
