This site feels surprisingly rural considering your bang in the middle of central London. Apart from a bit of road noise, the site was quiet & beautifully maintained & the facilities were spotless. The Location is fantastic, we looked into staying in a hotel.... once we found out about this site, we will never stay in a London hotel again when we visit the capital. You are literally 10 minutes walk from the train station, which is just a few stops from Victoria. You are from there on the Underground. The number 3 bus goes to regent street & the bus park is around a 5 minute walk away & took about an hour (not the fastest, but great for seeing the sights as you go past Big Ben & the Houses of Parliament). We took our daughter to the winter wonderland @ Hyde park, getting there from the caravan park via trains was pretty quick. You are also pretty close to lots of restaurant & pubs, there is also a Sainsbury's close by. We really enjoyed our stay & will definitely be returning, hopefully in the near future. Definitely a great place to spend a city break & great to be able to stay in my own accommodation.
superb
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
The site is excellent and saved us a fortune on hotel costs! Forget the train, the NO 3 bus is superb and takes you into the centre of London and even runs all night!
IMPORTANT - if driving from the west don't follow your SAT NAV if your outfit is wider than 6' 6" as there are metal gates you WON'T fit through!! We only just made it in our converted peugeot expert. Follow the directions provided by the caravan club.

We will be returning for sure, thank you for our 3 night stay.
Good site in perfect place for London
We have stayed here several times, the latest in late November 2016. Ideal for visiting London centre, and seeing nearby relatives. Remarkably quiet, given that it's surrounded by a busy road - being down in a dip obviously removes most noise - and we were hardly aware of the traffic. Easy access by bus to centre of London and a number of other places, but only 10 - 20 minutes walk to several overground stations for other areas. Worth noting that bus passes apparently work at all hours on London buses, unlike most areas where they only operate after 9.30 am. Site well-kept, facilities good and clean - and warm, which in November is important! I seldom give 5 *, so 4 * is a good mark!
A fabulous stay
We returned to Crystal Palace, one our favourite sites week commencing 21 November 2016. This site never disappoints, the location lending itself for easy access to London on the number 3 bus across the road and also access to Crystal Palace National Sports Centre located behind the site if you book prior to going on payasugym.com
From the craziness of London traffic you suddenly find yourself in an oasis surrounded by trees anss squirrels and can't help but stand and stare at the huge mast that towers above. The wardens are all lovely and helpful as ever. Thank you again for a great stay. Andy and Julie.
Excellent
Brilliant club site didn't really see much of it until we left! All the usual club site emminities. Spent a good solid 3 days visiting London....caught the number 3 bus each morning and came back late at night..will defo be going again where else can you stay in London for £22 per night!
Great Access to London
Used site for one night to visit central London. Were very impressed and will return again for a longer visit soon.
Favourite London Site
Stopped two nights last week. New wardens very helpful and friendly. Excellent pitch with lots of room. Site full but you wouldn't know it. Facilities immaculate. Usual dangerous square manhole cover over Motorhome waste disposal point but these are all being replaced.
Used number 3 bus to get to and from London.
Crystal Palace High Street ten minutes walk, full of eateries.
Only problem is getting to site through outer London, absolute nightmare. Probably OK from east.
Even so, our favourite site for London.
Note: I have no idea if the site is any good for families or not but I can't submit a review unless I enter a score, hence three stars.
Great Site but wifi hopeless
I've stayed here many times and love the unique location, a leafy oasis in the heart of London with excellent transport links to Central London and good pubs and restaurants within walking distance. However, connection to wifi this time was awful. I pitched on 25 and for the most part had no wifi connection or it was slow/unreliable and therefore unusable. Two lengthy calls to Airangel failed to remedy the situation. Maybe I was unlikely and it's something to do with the nearby TV transmitter, but don't take wifi here for granted. Otherwise excellent as usual.
Good site, convenient location
Very helpful staff on a very well maintained site with great access by local bus service into Central London.
