Not impressed

Have read some of the reviews but they are not really about the site, more about the surrounding area, yes there is plenty to do, and a very good place for families. The site itself has had a lot of improvements, toilet block clean, but why have the entrances from the far side been blocked off, it can be quite a treck especially for the ladies, why no path at that side? Also full at the weekend, and my wife had to wait in a queue for a shower as 3 of them were closed up?? Also noticed that the water temperature was only lukewarm. Some areas very scruffy with a lot of turf driven over, these need a lot of attention.

Great week away and sunshine!

We arrived and were told are pitch as requested, near the toilet block for my partners disability. Staff very friendly and helpful. Facilities immaculate as usual. Plenty to do within walking distance, from the designer outlet village to cinema, Marlins, Argos Next and a huge M and S. Although I can't be certain but I think there was 10 pin bowling alley too. Usual eating places McDonals and KFC.  We did eat at The Rakes one evening Hungry Hoarse Pub, food was acceptable atmosphere pleasant. We were made welcome by locals. It also had a huge kids play area. Would we go again, absolutely will be going back soon I hope.

Excellent!!!

This is a super site. Wardens are very helpful & friendly, in walking distance of lots shops pubs park n ride to zoo & Chester Had a great time & will be going back.Slight problem is the short entrance / exit road which can cause a bottleneck if more than 1 unit arrives or departs at same time! Also, there is only 1 shower block, albeit excellent, so you are stuck when closed for cleaning. Won't deter us from returning however!

Very good site

We stayed one night for a visit to Chester Zoo. Despite being near to a motorway and almost under a flight path it was quiet and peaceful. We would definately use this site again.

Super Site

Stayed Wed and Thurs. superb site. Excellent in all respects. New shower/toilet block kept spotlessly clean. Most hard standing are big in size and mostly flat. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. 7 miles from the city of Chester. 3 good eating houses within 10 minute walk from site. Country road no paths but well lit. All 3 pubs offer 20% discount on food purchases. There is a very nice designer retail park within 10 mins walk. A very good bus service to Chester takes about 20 mins. Overall super site highly recommended and will no doubt be back. Oh and only 10 mins drive to Chester Zoo.

A good Base

A new roomy, bright Toilet block has made this a great site to visit, convenient for North Wales, Chester and Zoo and the Wirral Peninsular and pubs and restaurants on the doorstep and now with a ginormous M&S on the nearby retail park, there's something for everyone. Some of the pitches are a bit tight for access but there is no excuse for visitors blatantly driving across the grass which spoils the look of the Site for everyone. Book early, busy site!
