weekend away

My husband and I have just returned from a 3 day stay at this site we have been members of the caravan club for 3 years and I must say this is 1 of the best sites I've ever been too the staff were very friendly and helpful. The showers and toilet blocks were brilliant very clean the heating was on all day and all night lots of hot water and it was nice to have a little extra touch as the radio was playing day and night in the toilet blocks(I love radio 2).The rake pub is a 3 minute walk away from the site severing very good food and its a lovely pub and very welcoming.WELL DONE THE CARAVAN CLUB we will be back from Mr and Mrs Walker from Shrewsbury

Nice place for a bit of shopping

We had a lovely weekend 4th to 6th March. Weather was kind to us, being dry during the day. The site was very quite and the facilities were excellent. Found out that they had only been upgraded last year. The staff were very helpful and informative. If you want some retail therapy this is the ideal location with the retail park literally just across the way. We will certainly return again, if able to get booked in as it is a very popular site.

Chester site

Great site. Facilities new and immaculately clean. Superb location for visiting Chester and Liverpool. Great location for families too. Will definitely visit again. Pub on the door step. There is road noise but after a busy day out we had no problem sleeping through it.

Shoppers paradise

The site is an easy 15 minutes walk from Cheshire Oaks retail park, excellent shopping and big choice of restaurants.  The X8 bus runs  every half hour from here to Chester and Liverpool.  The caravan site is spacious with large open pitches.  The showers and toilets are spotless and warm, with radio a nice touch.  Very helpful, friendly warden. The only slight negative is you can hear the motorway and the busy road nearby, but not loud enough to be a problem on what is a lovely site.

Feb half term visit.

We stayed during the Feb half term and had a good week weatherwise. The toilet block had been refurbished when we stayed in October and is in superb condition. As always the wardens were friendly and helpful and we wish them well when they go to Anglesey. The site is very well kept.

Many happy returns

This was our third visit to this site in approximately six months so our experience covers the colder, wetter months. Our first visit in September was a one nighter and, because of heavy rain, was very boggy with a lot of the pitches unavailable and waterlogged. The second visit in December was much better. For our latest visit in February we stayed for 3 nights. Grass areas were still very soggy but the pitches were firm and dry. Staff were very friendly and helpful eager to point out the new toilet and shower facilities which were excellent. This site accessed very conveniently from the motorway but noise is not a problem. Cheshire Fairoaks Outlets is a very short walk away and a pub and Harvester are just a couple of hundred yards down the road. Excellent and regular bus services are close by to take you to Chester and Liverpool. We shall be going back again as there is a lot left for us to do and see there.

Excellent Site

Booked a five night stay during half term holidays.  Brilliant location to enable day trips out to Blue Planet, Tenpin Bowling, Adventure Golf, Ice Skating and the very famous Cheshire Oaks Designer Shopping Outlet.  Site facilities were spotless and the staff very polite and friendly.

Lovely site

First visit to Fairoaks and Chester. Lovely site with immaculate toilet block and small park for kids. 3 pubs all reasonably priced within walking distance as well as the large retail park, certainly the largest retail park I have ever seen. Chester is a lovely town, very nice indeed. Drove there in my motor home which is long but got parked easily in the Little Roodee carpark by the race course and from there it is 10 minute walk to the town centre. Need to mention the Burger Shed!! Had lunch there and it was great.. Also visited the zoo which was expensive but a good day out.  Would certainly return to this site.

Our first visit to this site

We visited this site for the first time in February. We found the location very convenient. A 15minute walk to the large Cheshire Oaks Shopping Centre and a Sainsbury store. We were able to use the very regular bus service from here to the centre of Chester and Liverpool and able to use bus passes. So much to see and do in both places. It was our first visit to Liverpool and we were very impressed. We hope to visit again soon.
