great site

the site is in a great location, the wardens and the facilitys are second to none there,s plenty to do locally there is slight noise at night from the nearby motorway so if you are a light sleeper then there may be problems at night there are local pubs that do bar meals the only problem that we found with the site (although it wasn,t on our pitch) there was considerable water around on the pitches and the drainage was very very poor But on a bright note Thank you to the wardens for keeping a good site and giving us a very enjoyable stay Sylvia & terry (Stoke On Trent)

Great Site

Just back from a visit over Easter.  Was a great site in good location for local attractions.  Friendly wardens with small shop selling essentials.  Kids loved the park and safe for them to ride round the site.  Shower blocks were best I've seen, clean, warm and showers were first class. Only minor points was some of the pitches were muddy on the corners caused by car tyres and some of the hard standing pitches had large puddles in them.  However I guess after the wet weather we have had it's not surprising.

Outstanding

We have just completed a stay at this fabulous site. We liked it so much that we re-booked while we were still there. The site itself is well appointed and superbly maintained. It has a modern facilities block in the middle of the site which is of five star standard, new, modern, clean and warm - I have never seen better. The pitches are of a generous size with good draining gravel which takes rock pegs well for your awning too. The location is excellent too - very near the Cheshire Oakes outlets for some retail therapy and of course the Zoo and city walls and hand for the races if you fancy a flutter. I cannot recommend this site highly enough, go and enjoy it.

Joy up North

Such a lovely site with excellent facilities and so clean a credit to all the staff who work there. Brilliant location for all the places you may want to visit Chester zoo, Chester, all just a few miles down the road and of coarse Liverpool and the north Wales road. Very good price for all the first rate facilities and staff very helpful with advice. An absolute joy up North.

Chester revisited.

Not visited this site for a few years. There have been some improvements.  The toilet block is first rate and more hard standings than before.  The friendly wardens maintain a high standard.  Plenty to do. Chester and Ellesmere Port Canal Museum can both be reached by bike using the good canal tow path, about a mile from the site. Site fees are high but so is the quality and of course demand remains high.

Great location

We really enjoyed this site we stayed for 3 nights and found there was so much to do close by. We could also use our bikes from the site and get around. There is a good choice of pubs very close to the site. The wardens were very friendly and polite and the facilities are excellent and were always clean.

Expensive

Price to stay £31.30 ! per night. OK, it was classed as  'high  season' but £31.30 is just ridiculous to pay to stay in my own caravan ! I think the caravan Club is an excellent company, and I can see why an extra charge for non members is justified, but charging members silly prices is a road to killing the goose that laid the golden egg. The site is the usual high  standard and well laid out, the wardens are friendly and very helpful, but that price, ouch !!

Recommended site

Stayed here Easter 2016 for 6 nights. Very well kept quiet site with good sized pitches. Arrivals were managed quickly and efficiently. Toilets, showers, wash room, laundry always fabulously clean and warm. Wardens always very helpful and fish and chip van goes on Monday teatime (although we didn't try any). Good location nr shops and designer outlet and we also went to Liverpool from railway station but you can get a bus which is easier and within walking distance of site. Only moan was that someone had squirted toothpaste all over 1 toilet cubicle in the mens toilet and on cubicle walls. Message for parents- If you had known this happen before on a site you've been on , are you sure it is not your son(s) that did this mindless act? Wardens work long hours and very hard to ensure we all enjoy quality facilities. Let's all be vigilant and try to ensure that such silly and thoughtless acts don't spoil things for everyone else.   Walked to The Rake  pub which was very busy and more of a family pub so we left and went to the Harvester pub at the end of the lane. Food here was disappointingly warm despite waiting 20 mins for our food (we were warned) and also had to wait 40 mins for a table (we didn't book). Menu here was better than the Rake and they have a fresh salad bar.BUT... the best food was at the Hunbury Arms in Stoak about 3/4 mile away. Fantastic menu, excellent food and pretty pub with lovely beer garden- highly recommended. Staff great too.

Immaculate site

We stopped here for 3 nights. What a lovely site, so peaceful. Toilet/shower block was immaculate, whole site maintained and in excellent condition. Lovely safe play area for the children. Staff friendly and helpful. Great location and within walking distance, approx 20mins to Cheshire oaks, Blue planet aquarium and adventure land. Also bus station with Chester not far to visit. Zoo not far either. 3 pubs also within walking distance, hungry horse just 2 mins walk with indoor and outdoor play areas.  Only negative is the first road you have to walk down is fairly busy with no paths!
