Excellent week at Chester Fairoaks

Hi Folks, Just got back from Chester Fairoaks had an excellent 5 nights there. Site really well kept, toilets and showers first class, the showers---none of this keep pressing a button to keep the water running, superb. The assistant wardens Julie and her husband were brilliant helpful in the extreme, they had joined the site from Blackpool South where we first met them. Their way of treating guests is first class and makes you feel part of a family which the club is. We enjoyed our stay so much we have booked again for later in the year. Cheshire Oaks Designer out let nearby, Blue Planet, Chester Zoo, and several great pubs what more could you want. Once again first class site and first class assistant Wardens.

excellent location

a site that is up to the usual club standards - very well kept and clean. Just 1 toilet/shower block but was spotlessly clean and despite the site being full we didn't have to wait for showers, in fact there were times that the block had no-one else using it. Well set out as you would expect and the wardens were great. Dog walk area on site was small but completely fenced in so you can let your dog off the lead. 3 pubs all within walking distance - one of which did allow dogs inside in one area - large outside area with lots of seating, unfortunately the evening we went was a bit like fawlty towers! but did make for an amusing and enjoyable couple of hours. Cheshire Oaks is within walking distance. A site we would definitely use again very easy to find just off the motorway and within very easy distance of loads to do

perfect location for lots to do and see

We stayed on this site last week for 5 nights. The site was lovely, the facilities are spotless and the staff very friendly. I havent given 5 stars for peace and quiet due to the sites closeness to the motorway BUT you soon get used to it and its not that bad. The warden did explain about this and showed us where the quieter parts of the site were. The plus part to this was that Cheshire Oaks was across the road with lovely shops and lots of eating places. There were 3 good pubs within easy walking distance. Chester zoo was only 4 miles away and we travelled to Port Sunlight a few miles away which was a definate must see. Lots of things to do and see in Chester and lots of lovely walks nearby. Thank you we shall visit again

Chester with the Grandchildren

This is an excellent site to use as a base to visit the many attractions around Chester. It was full when we were there just before Easter, but despite this it was still quiet and peaceful. The facilities are fantastic, plenty of showers, separate washing cubicles and dishwashing facilities. The hardstanding pitches are generous, but this does mean that you have to pitch awnings on the rather pebbly base. We discovered our pegs weren't up to the job, but the handy little site shop provided some fantastic titanium pegs, which are now an essential addition to our camping kit. The site's very convenient to walk to Cheshire Oaks and useful bus stops to Chester, but you do have to be prepared to brave the busy roads. We enjoyed a good value meal in the Rake Inn, which is just a few hundred yards from the site, and there's a handy inside play area to keep the children amused. One slight niggle is the additional charge for WiFi , £2.50 a day, - and the only reason we didn't give the site five stars for overall rating.

Pre Easter Stay

First time to this site and we are both very impressed with the site and facilities. The facilities block are superb, probably the best I have seen so far. The site wardens are second to none, they couldn't have been more helpful. The closeness to the shopping outlet meant we could walk although Rake Lane is a bit scary without any pathways. My only negative comment is the 'Chippy', the fish was not the freshest to be had but the chips, hard as nails even soaked with curry sauce. Please have a word or change them. Otherwise loved the site and will be back again very soon. Thank you very much for an enjoyable two week stay.

Chester Fairoaks

An excellent site well kept with new facilities. Within walking distance of the Outlet centre and entertainments. 15 minutes walk to the bus stop for regular buses into Chester and Liverpool for the owners of large motorhomes.

The location makes it

Site to the usual excellent standard with helpful friendly staff. We found the Harvester to be the best place to eat nearby - about a 10 minute walk. The Marston's pub also very good - just a couple more minutes. Easy walk to the Outlet centre. For motorhomers going to the zoo - you are directed to park with the coaches which makes going there really easy. A site where a week can easily be spent doing something different every day.

First Time Visit

Overall the site provided a super platform to take our young children to Chester Zoo and the Blue Planet Aquarium. The facilities are spotlessly clean and the site wardens extremely helpful and friendly. Pitches are spacious and easily accessed with a large outfit. Local facilities are convenient and cater for all needs. My only gripe would be the access to the internet which, with young children, can be at times a lifesaver! £2.50 per day for a service that is at best intermittent in an age when there is free wifi in public places, hotels, stations, supermarkets etc., is not good value for money.
