One of the best

We have visited this site most years and it remains one of our favourites. It is easy to reach just off the motorway. The site is flat and typical club style but a bit featureless. The toilet block was modern and clean and there were adequate service points. The city is within easy reach by bus and the outlet centre and supermarket just over the main road. There are plenty of places to eat out nearby, although the Rake next door got a slating in the reviews, so we avoided this, and judging by the car park so did the locals. There is modest road noise but it did not disturb us. The wardens were friendly although if as the earlier review suggests they allowed two awnings to be almost touching, this should have been dealt with as there would be no fire break which could have resulted in a disaster.

Super site

This site ticks all the boxes. The facilities are immaculate and the site is well maintained by friendly, helpful wardens. There are plenty of nearby attractions too.

Visit spoilt by change in club rules

This was our first visit Chester. The site is in a great location close to a retail outlet and some dog friendly pubs.

One of the main reasons for us joining the club was its no nonsense approach to its rules. Having enjoyed the first part of our visit, we were surprised to see an English van like ourselves arrive and pitch the wrong way round, resulting in our awnings almost touching and the total loss of our privacy when sitting outside. I have no problem with foreign vans parking the wrong way which means of course the doors face the same direction as ours. I raised the issue with a warden and was told that due to requests from other members, as long as you park in the confines of your pitch it doesn't matter which way around you park. This then made a complete mockery of my booking in procedure when I was shown how to park as per the diagram on the office desk with the rear offside corner of my van next to the white pitch marker.

Sorry but I think the club is slowly going downhill.

Will be coming back here again

We have just come back from a lovely weekend here, the site is immaculate well maintained and spotlessly clean hats of to the hard work of all the staff. the closeness of Cheshire Oaks just a 10 minute walk away makes this site hard to beat, if that is not good enough you walk past three pubs that all serve food the neerest just 50 yards from the front gates. this will become our regular site for the future weekends

Excellent site and staff

A really super site, many facilities and attractions in area, both the facilities and staff among the best we have encountered. Great Information Room. Eating pubs close by and Cheshire Oaks Shopping Centre within fairly easy walking distance ( take care walking on lane, could do with a pavement).

Excellent site with top class facilities

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at Chester Fairoaks club site, on our way back from a stay in Cumbria. This site is wonderful and the wardens are so friendly and helpful, greeting us with a lovely warm welcome which was very nice. The site itself is immaculately maintained as are the excellent recently upgraded facilities (we stayed here several years ago en-route back home to Ireland). The site again suited our needs admirably, enabling us to visit Chester and take in some retail therapy at the nearby shopping outlet. There is some motorway noise but this must be expected when so close to an urban area - but it certainly didn't spoil our experience! All in all, a superb site and we look forward to visiting again in the not too distant future.

Spent 12 nights - had a lovely time and a lovely site - the reason for four instead of five stars is the time the flight path starts in the morning and busy lane out front - apart from that a lovely site. Would use this site again if I was going to visit Chester.

Excellent Site

This was our first Caravan and Motorhome site we have used, we had a excellent 3 nights there. Nice site well organised, toilets and showers are as we expected clean and in excellent condition. Good wardens who were very helpful and very informative. Short walk to the Hungry Horse which sadly was having a bad night so we walked to the next pub the Old Hall and that was fantastic even giving us 20% off our meal for being Caravan and Motorhome members. Short drive to the park and ride which we were told picked up outside Argos in Chester or the number 10 terminal at the bus depo. just make sure you get back before 7pm as the last bus is 7.10 pm. We shall be back for sure.

Thank you

This was the first time we had stayed on this site and what a fantastic site. The People running this site where so friendly and helpful. The pitches are nice and big, toilet block was lovely and clean. We only booked for two nights and would have stayed longer but we had booked a site in North Wales so had to leave but booked a week in June before we left so can't wait to go back. Thank you and look forward to returning in June.

Last Minute Weekend Stay at Chester Fairoaks

We booked Chester Fairoaks last minute and were very pleased with the site. The staff were very welcoming and the site was spotless, I think this may be the best site we have experienced so far in our 2 years and touring. The location of this site is excellent with a selection of pubs within a few minutes walk. Cheshire Oaks is only a ten minute walk away and the canal path is a ten minute cycle or a 20 minute walk where you can easily get to Ellesmere Port or into Chester itself. Although very close to the motorway you don't hear from the site. We are looking forward to staying at Chester Fairoaks again very shortly.
