Loved it xx

First time here and we loved it , staff were really friendly the park is immaculate , showers nice and hot which makes a change and .....no pressy buttons lol . There's a lovely little paddock for your dog to run around in which our puppy loved especially when there was another dog to play with. Just 5mins away is The Rake pub where you can get a canny meal and a further 10 / 15 minutes away is Sainsburys and the largest designer outlet centre ever . From the outlet you can get a bus to Chester Zoo, Chester, Ellsmere Port and Liverpool. Try it , you'll love it , we'll be back next year xx Ps , never heard anything from the motorway.

Short stay

This was our first visit to this site and we found it to be a very nice site which is very handy to visit Chester and very easy to get to. We were only there a few days en route to Wales but found the site tidy and very secure. The toilet block was impressive and kept very clean. I would recommend this site to anyone.

Great Weekend

After our second visit to this site we were very happy to say the welcome was excellent. The shower block was very clean at all times the staff do a great job. We did not visit the two pubs close by but they are within 10 minutes walk of the site. The shopping is a 15 minute walk from the site and it also boasts a very large M & S store. Once again though a little upset no footpath for walking safe as the cars do travel very fast past the site.

One of the best

We have visited this site most years and it remains one of our favourites. It is easy to reach just off the motorway. The site is flat and typical club style but a bit featureless. The toilet block was modern and clean and there were adequate service points. The city is within easy reach by bus and the outlet centre and supermarket just over the main road. There are plenty of places to eat out nearby, although the Rake next door got a slating in the reviews, so we avoided this, and judging by the car park so did the locals. There is modest road noise but it did not disturb us. The wardens were friendly although if as the earlier review suggests they allowed two awnings to be almost touching, this should have been dealt with as there would be no fire break which could have resulted in a disaster.

Super site

This site ticks all the boxes. The facilities are immaculate and the site is well maintained by friendly, helpful wardens. There are plenty of nearby attractions too.

Visit spoilt by change in club rules

This was our first visit Chester. The site is in a great location close to a retail outlet and some dog friendly pubs.

One of the main reasons for us joining the club was its no nonsense approach to its rules. Having enjoyed the first part of our visit, we were surprised to see an English van like ourselves arrive and pitch the wrong way round, resulting in our awnings almost touching and the total loss of our privacy when sitting outside. I have no problem with foreign vans parking the wrong way which means of course the doors face the same direction as ours. I raised the issue with a warden and was told that due to requests from other members, as long as you park in the confines of your pitch it doesn't matter which way around you park. This then made a complete mockery of my booking in procedure when I was shown how to park as per the diagram on the office desk with the rear offside corner of my van next to the white pitch marker.

Sorry but I think the club is slowly going downhill.

Will be coming back here again

We have just come back from a lovely weekend here, the site is immaculate well maintained and spotlessly clean hats of to the hard work of all the staff. the closeness of Cheshire Oaks just a 10 minute walk away makes this site hard to beat, if that is not good enough you walk past three pubs that all serve food the neerest just 50 yards from the front gates. this will become our regular site for the future weekends

Excellent site and staff

A really super site, many facilities and attractions in area, both the facilities and staff among the best we have encountered. Great Information Room. Eating pubs close by and Cheshire Oaks Shopping Centre within fairly easy walking distance ( take care walking on lane, could do with a pavement).

Excellent site with top class facilities

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at Chester Fairoaks club site, on our way back from a stay in Cumbria. This site is wonderful and the wardens are so friendly and helpful, greeting us with a lovely warm welcome which was very nice. The site itself is immaculately maintained as are the excellent recently upgraded facilities (we stayed here several years ago en-route back home to Ireland). The site again suited our needs admirably, enabling us to visit Chester and take in some retail therapy at the nearby shopping outlet. There is some motorway noise but this must be expected when so close to an urban area - but it certainly didn't spoil our experience! All in all, a superb site and we look forward to visiting again in the not too distant future.
