Amazing site and view

A lovely site with an absolutely amazing view which is constantly changing. The weather was poor but this did no detract from the view. Very clean facilities and a first for the campsites we have visited in the Uk - a drying room! Well situated to explore the area and despite our MH being 8.2m we had no problem parking in Fort William. Very friendly and helpful wardens who worked hard to keep the facilities so spotless. The washrooms were lovely and warm. We will definitely be back shame it is so far from London.

Best Caravan Club site?

This site has such spectacular views it is really hard to beat. A great site and we're sure we will be back. Helpful wardens, warm facilities and we appreciated the benches by the loch so we could sit and enjoy the view.

Bunree - The Ultimate!

This is my second visit to Bunree. Situated on the shores of Loch Linnhe it one of the most picturesque sites I have been on. The wardens are very friendly, helpful and keep the site in amazing order. Its the ultimate site of all time for me, it could only be improved by having some serviced pitches.

A Cracking Location

An overnight stay does not do this site justice. A superb location and facilities, together with excellent and friendly wardens. John & Sharon K.

Carlsberg

If Bunree was a lager… What a wonderful site!  We arrived late and were welcomed by one of the wardens, he gave us directions to our pitch and asked us to pop into the office in the morning.  No grief, no hassle, just the welcome we needed after a long drive. Next morning we were told we could move to a loch side pitch if we wanted, just to let them know. We did move and what a view; the colours this time of year are wonderful and what a great base for walking or cycling.  The ferry around the corner is great (free for pedestrians and cyclists) and the cycling on the other side of the loch is brilliant, left or right the views are stunning and the riding easy going. We booked for 3 nights and stayed for 10! Good facilities, the wardens take pride in the site and are proud of it.  Fort William and Glencoe are nearby if that’s what you want, but there are plenty of other places to go too.  The Glencoe cafe, the one in the village, is a good place for food and drink with friendly staff and a good selection of freshly baked cakes. Will we go back? Too right we will and tomorrow given the chance.

Late Break in Autumn colours

What a lovely site, with tremendous views and excellent facilities, maintained by very attentive and friendly staff.  We decided to make Bunree our temporary home for our last break of the year and could not have been happier (the good weather helped).  We could easily have been tempted to stay-put each day to enjoy our beautiful surroundings but there are too many interesting places nearby to explore, including Ardnamurchan, Appin, Glencoe, Fort William and, for us, culminating in a 'stroll' up Ben Nevis in near perfect conditions.  But to stay on such a smart, well-kept and comfortable site was a real privilege and was all due to our hard-working Wardens and their Assistants.  To Avril and the team, a very well appreciated thank you and well done - we will be back!  D & P Brown

Jewel of the Highlands

We once again stayed at Bunree and once again we were met with a smile and a giggle....feels like coming home each time we stay... We always book a none awning pitch as it can at times be a spot breezy, also the view WOW the view..a few bits of local info to make your stay even better...here we go.. 1 try to book early in the season as this site gets busy but never crowded.. 2 the local shop (Co-op) is really well stocked 3 miles back towards Glen Coe on the right over the big bridge.. 4 go over the water to Corren on the ferry £8 per car each way not the cheapest but once over drive slowly out the village near low tide if possible and you WILL sea an Otter or two and very likely a Sea eagle all with in view of the site across the water.. 5 Mull is a must its £24 return from Lochaline the drive down to Lochaline is breathtaking let alone Mull.....journey time from Bunree approx 1 hour.. 6 just across the road is the best short walk up to a beautiful summit of of the surrounding hills to the camp site total walk time around an hour well signed and a good path steep in places but well worth it we saw a Golden eagle close to us but the jewel here are the abundance of friendly red squirrels they play all around the car park and there is a special hide where you are only at times inches from these wonderful little fellas....route come out of campsite turn left then immediate right follow the road to the end and park in the car park from there easy to follow sign posts.. in summery this site is a wonderful base for any wildlife lover weather your professional photographer or just happy snapper there is an opportunity every minute of the day to be wowed...and finally thank you to the staff who bend over backwards to help and accommodate all
