Just spent a few reflaxing days (23 - 29 July) at this site. Well organised regarding the Covid restrictions. Toiletes and showers very clean - rubber band regime in use.
Nice forestry walks near by - weather could have been better but hey ho you cant have everything:).
Fantastic site!
Just returned from The Bunree Site, had a lovely time! On arrival was greeted by a very friendly warden and asked to go to office to check in. Lady in reception was very welcoming and had a lovely manner, the site is in an amazing place with outstanding views. The toilet block was immaculate and very well organised with a very good system in place for limiting how many people were allowed in at any time, we felt very safe and relaxed and didn't feel under any pressure or confusion with the troubled times we are in at the moment. There was lots of respect shown from all who work on the site and other members. We would definitely recommend this site, and surrounding area.
Peaceful site
Perfect place for a base for doing some sightseeing or for a quiet few days lovely views clean and tidy site lovely pub that does good food about 15 to 20 mins walk away but if you will be walking back to site in dark make sure you have a torch with you . Would definitely book here again if we are visiting this area
Campsite with an amazing view.
What can I say that hasn’t already been said! Great campsite in a great location for exploring what Fort William, Glencoe and Ben Nevis range has to offer. The site is quiet and relaxed and waking up to that view is just the best. Staff were friendly and happy to stop for a chat. The facilities were spotless. Highly recommended.
Breath taking views!
Where to start?! What an amazing site with stunning views of Loch Linne. Great staff who are very friendly and helpful. Well kept and clean facilities. Stones throw from Fort William and Glencoe. Good size pitches and a lovely beach on your doorstep. Can’t fault this site in anyway, shape or form. Can’t wait to return on the 1st of November for my wife’s birthday. Our 2 year old just loved it and ran wild all weekend. This is a must visit site!
Location, location
What a location. Can't imagine anything better. Non awning pitches in front row are superb, what a view. All pitches face the view tho. Easy access only half mile from main road. Traffic lights on approach road to counter short narrow stretch. Only negative with that is that they stay red/green for a fixed 2 minutes rather than having a sensor. Some money spent by the club to do this would be much appreciated by all I'm sure. Good location for exploring area, Glencoe to the south, Fort William and Ben Nevis to the north, and Corran ferry to take you West.
We will most certainly return when near.
Beautiful site in a great location
We loved our stay at Bunree it feels like it is away from everything but in reality there is a lot to do not too far away, good walks, bike rides, the ferry at Corran ( free to pedestrians and cyclists 👍) and Fort William and Ben Nevis just a little further away. Will definitely head back to this little gem 👍
Great site in a lovely location
Can only agree with all the other reviews on here. The site is well maintained and showers spotless (as we would expect from Club sites). The location on the banks of Loch Linnhe with views over the loch to the distant mountains is to die for. So many nice walks and drives from here and the town of Fort William, with its many shops, supermarkets and eateries about 15 minutes drive. Highly recommended.
Mature Couple
Wonderful site - best of our 4 week trip round Scotland. Weather was not good, but it did not matter. Waves at high tide lapped the low wall on the loch front - most entertaining as we felt safe. Good walks nearby as well as in Glencoe. Will return.
First time to Bunree - We’ll definitely be back
Stayed at Bunree from 13th to 16th September on a non-awning pitch overlooking the loch and wow what a view! Although the weather was not very kind to us during our stay, it was still great to see the dramatic changes in scenery as the weather fronts came and went - from rainbows after showers, to watching the clouds rolling in over the mountains and loch. Ate out at the Lochleven Seafood Cafe approximately a 10 minute drive away and would highly recommend it. (There are meat and veggie options if you don’t like seafood).
