Second Visit.

As the title indicates this was our second visit, we chose not to leave a review after our first visit as we knew we would be back. The location is stunning and the pitches are pretty level, the staff we have met are all fantastic. We have been on two at the lochside next to each other now and the most recent one we definitely needed our levellers. The view is fantastic however we have to agree with other reviews regarding the behaviour of dog owners letting their dogs run free on the whole of the grass area at the lochside, there is a designated area for dogs to do their business and they are also supposed to be kept on a lead until this area but this does not happen, we actually saw people letting their dog run free and did not even have a bag to pick up after them, thankfully there is a trowel of some description left by the site obviously in anticipation of this. We went for a walk on our first visit and were nowhere near rthe Dog area yet my Wife unfortunately stepped on dog mess! Other than this the site , location and people working there make it we think our favourite site so far in our relatively limited travels. If we could have given 4.5 stars we would have but the dog mess issue needs to be dealt with.

An amazing site!

Wow! Like other reviews have mentioned, what a view! We have yet to stay at a site with more spectacular views. The staff and facilities are at the usual high standards. We took the bikes across to the quiet side of the Loch on the free Coran ferry, adjacent to the site. Here there are almost unlimited expanses of empty roads to travel as far as you like. Also pop across the road for a short circular walk around the Inchree village waterfalls. Glencoe is about 4 miles away, Fort William is about 8 miles away and well worth a visit especially for Ben Nevis. An amazing area, the Lake District on steroids.

The views don't get much better than this!

Had our summer holiday in Bunree this year and as we don't have an awning, we got right on the front and the views were just breathtaking! Site very friendly and spoke to a lot of the guests with weather being fab so could sit out, mountain and waterfall views were just the best, toilets and showers immaculate, great facilities and had nice meal at pub just up the road. Book a non-awning pitch so you get the views. Was very full, but still peaceful at night and kids well behaved when we were there. The only slight spoiler was, as with all sites these days, there were "lots" of dogs, and so lots of them were pooing on the grassed area right in front of our van, which isnt nice when you're eating or enjoying the views. OK they cleaned it up, but they shouldn't have been allowed on this area right in front of the vans. I understand dogs need to go when they need to go, but this grassed area should be fenced and have no dog signs on so dogs would then have to stick to the paths until they reach the dog walk. Keep everyone happy then. But just one slight little niggle in an otherwise perfect 5 nights at Bunree - will be a tough act to follow!

Lovely site which seems great for families

Stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of July. Found the staff very friendly and helpful, however we found some of the children on the site a bit wild, that was the problem of the parents who should have been keeping a better eye on them, it certainly didn't make the site very peaceful. We also found that persons with dogs didn't keep them under control very well, walking along the grass in front of the loch, dogs doing their business when you are trying to eat your lunch. Again not the problem of the wardens, rather occupants not following the rules regarding dogs. Nice views and lovely scenery, however, we would think twice about going back.

Take the ferry

Lovely site with great views but watch out for the cows on the access road! We'd seen a note recommending taking the Corran Ferry and cycling along the other side of the loch and took this up; glad we did - well recommended. Ferry is free to pedestrians (< 1 mile from the site) & cyclists. plenty of wildlife to be seen. Walk to the Inchree Falls is also well worth while

Lovely site

We love this site, staying longer than planned both times we’ve used it. Facilities are up to usual club standards, and the Pub up in Inchree is an easy walk with great food. One minor complaint was how often the wardens cut the grass around us, which seemed to go on for quite some time, yet barely looked like they’d cut anything more than a few daisy heads off. Born out by how wet our feet got when walking across the grass to the toilet block. Remember to book a non awning pitch if you want to go front row. Site can get very windy, certainly too windy for awnings at the front. But the views across the Loch are great. We’ll be back.

Great location

Beautiful location and very clean, well maintained site. Would definitely stay here again. Lots to do in and around the area. Only snag is the size of the stones under awning pitch. Some are quite large making it a bit uncomfortable underfoot but fine if you have a good carpet.

The brilliance of Bunree

From arrival to departure our experience of Bunree was great. We were pitched at the back of the site, but still had a great view of the beach and Loch. It’s a very short walk down to the pebbled beach area which on walking along there’s an area allocated to allow dogs roam free without a lead. We were a short distance from the children’s play park which is well equipped with various climbing frames, monkey bars, swings and chutes at which our 5 year old grandson had great fun. A family friendly site many children walked or cycled around the road/one way site very safely. The site has been there for some time so decor may appear a little dated, but the facilities are very good. Hot showers, running water, ample amounts of toilets and shower cubicles, sink areas and outside dish washing areas are easily accessible. Would recommend that anyone visiting takes blocks to use under their wheels as the hardstands can be a little uneven, but it’s certainly not a deal breaker. This was our first visit, but definitely won’t be our last.
