What a view!

Fantastic site. Well maintained and clean. My only negative was the lady who checked us in...not friendly and seemed over her head. The rest of the staff were fantastic. You cannot beat the view. Lots of great places to walk. There is a ferry nearby...walk on traffic is free. Very short ferry ride to more sights. Great stay .

Fabulous stay

Beautiful site in a stunning location. Sat outside our motorhome watching the sun go down over the loch with a glass of wine ... perfect! Would definitely recommend as one of the best sites we have visited.

Playing fair at Bunree.

Bunree is in such a beautiful location on the shores of Loch Linnhe, views beyond compare and sunsets that bring us all out of our ‘vans to gawp and photograph the scene! This is especially from the shoreline pitches and herein lies a problem. Because they are so popular, you need to arrive at the site as soon after the arrival time as possible and “latecomers” have little chance. We arrived at gone 2pm and, by a serious fluke, we were fortunate to get on the shore but it was truly exceptional. The time for arrival is clearly stated here on the website, on the booking form and even in a big notice at the end of the roadway to the site, as 1pm. Yet virtually every day of our 14 night stay, there were people queuing up in the arrivals area well before 1pm, many well before 12 noon and thus, those who obey the rules are disadvantaged. Now, we can’t all estimate the length of a journey to within minutes but an hour and a half early by 1pm would require remarkable misjudgement! Best to plan your journey to arrive “after 1pm”. There is nothing the wardens can do of course, it is up to us as members of the Club to obey the rules and be fair to our fellow members.

Response from the Club

Thank you for your review and we're delighted you enjoyed your stay with us.

Due to our narrow entrance road and out of consideration for neighbours please do not arrive before 1pm, this will ensure minimal congestion/disruption for both arriving and departing guests.

Stunning views and a lovely site

We could only get in here for one night during a bit of touring, but it was probably the best site we visited. The views are stunning. Its a lovely little quiet site. Facilities are nice and clean and showers were great. The rubber band system to stop too many being in the toilet block due to covid restrictions worked very well. Staff were also brilliant and friendly and we felt very welcome. Can't wait to go back again. Plenty of midges, but that's to be expected.

Beautiful location, and great staff.

Beautiful location - stunning views. Amazing place to stay. Great local walk to see the Red squirrels and a lovely circular walk to the top of Inchree Falls. We were there in August, teh weather was amazing and as expected there were lots midgys as we sat out in the early morning enjoying the view drinking our tea, and evening enjoying a BBQ. But these didn't spoil anything as they were easily dealt with with some descent Mossi repellant. (Must have DEET in).

A cracking wee spot!

A gem of a site in a cracking location. We were blessed with incredible weather (10th to 14th Aug) and enjoyed both land and water based fun. Highly recommended.

Beautiful location. Stunning scenery. Excellent COVID measures

We had a week at the site, and whilst the weather wasn't fully compliant it was a fabulous stay. Scenery stunning, Access to walks, kayaking, fishing, The Jacobite, Very Covid secure. Communication could have been better.

Beautiful location

Just returned from a stay at bunree site in our motorhome and had an amazing visit. First time on this site but will definitely return. The wardens are doing an amazing job at making you welcome and feel safe with covid. Had a pitch right on the waterfront with stunning views. Hard standing large pitches well spaced. The band system for the toilet blocks works well and they were spotless. We took a walk up Inshee falls which can be easily walked to from the site and were treated to lovely views. Really enjoyed our stay

Lovely site, shame about the wardens

This is a lovely site based right on the edge of Loch Linnhe with beautiful views and good forest walks nearby. The site is well kept and clean. I've been here a number of times and in the past the wardens have always been very friendly and helpful. However, this time I was greeted with a less than friendly welcome by the lady in reception, frantically gesticulating to me to wear a face mask before I even had a chance to take it out of my pocket (even though she didn't wear one herself) and shouting across the arrivals park that only one person is allowed in the reception. Ok, I understand certain restrictions need to be in place due to the covid-19 problem but I think a more friendly and polite approach wouldn't be difficult. It's not going to stop me coming back here though as it's one of my favourite sites.
