Lovely beach

Lovely site with its own 3 mile beach. Facilities were to the standard expected of a club sight. The site being on the coast is subject to sea mist and wind however you can venture away from the site and find the warm sunshine. I do not understand why dog owners bag the poo then leave it on the edge of the beach path expecting someone else to carry it back to the bin for them, your dog, your mess, your bag! When we walk the beach we do pitch up litter but poo bags no! Lovely area to explore with some fine views and walks. Fish and chips at the Trawler Golspie are great and they also do Gluten free.

Foggy Brora

We have just made our first visit to Brora and to this site. Our visit didn't start well as the directions in the handbook are only from the south. Having passed the road to the site I had to make a lengthy journey before I found an.opportunity to turn round. The site is great with excellent facilities. We enjoyed the walk across the golf course into the village and also following the heritage trail. The beach is great. Sadly there was little in Brora itself just a pub, cafe and coop. There are many vacant shops. For most of our stay there was a mist down and it was only when it finally lifted we could appreciate the views from the site.

Congested and very busy small site

Access is over a very narrow bridge adjacent to several owners houses down a very narrow lane not ideal around changeover time due to above. Site is too small to accommodate the number of marked pitches and Was very busy due to short stays with continual changeovers. Left a day early.

Help when you need it!

When we broke down on Friday in the Highlands we feared the worst. Thanks to C.C. Mayday and to Brora site a bad situation was made better. The site and wardens could not have been more helpful, they saved us an accessible pitch, helped unload our caravan from the low loader and were helpfulness personified. Meanwhile we had a chance to explore the lovely area around Brora... the bike ride to the lakes was lovely, the walks, the beaches, are lovely, so clean and beautiful. By Monday tea time the car was fixed and we were mobile again but I cannot praise the site enough for its support and help.

Stunning and peaceful

This was our third visit and things only seem to improve each time. Gorgeous beach at your doorstep and scenery to take your breath away. The wardens were friendly and welcoming. The tranquil setting allows time to sit back an relax. The facilities are spotless and well maintained.

Over zealous warden

Busy parking caravan on hard standing pitch and it was still attached to the car. We had effectively blocked the road until we disconnected but had a motorhome sitting waiting about 5ft away from the side if the car. I drove the car forward to let the rather impatient motorhome get passed and just heard the warden shouting at me not to park on the grass!!! This tirade went on for a few minutes. Totally obvious it was put there to let them pass and not being left there. As we are from the highlands all our lives this was NOT a very nice highland welcome. Maybe time to lighten up a little!

Relaxing Stay at Brora

Visiting the Brora site is a pleasure if you like a relaxed holiday, brilliant walks along the beach within short distance by access over the nearby golf course,(watch out for sheep and cattle and deposits!) there's lost to do and see if your following the NC500, John o Groats, Dunnet Head, Castle of May, Lairg, Nairn, a nice but long drive to Ullapool or Durness will be rewarded with its stunning scenery en route, Dunrobin Castle is nearby, we especially liked Dornoch which is about 20 miles away, fantastic place to visit, stunning Catherdral and converted Court House to a restaurant is worth a visit and the converted jails into small shops, the wardens Carl and Dawn worked tirelessly every day well after 9pm at times and were extremely helpful, watch out for golf ball damage to your outfit if your pitched adjacent to the golf course! you may need a good midge repellent at times, like others the site is so popular now with the NC500 it really needs the Club to make some improvements to the services, some of the pitches are very tight so let the wardens know if you have a large outfit, the road in is tight but manageable if care is taken. Co-op nearby in Brora with a nice Chinese takeaway and shops as well, fuel filling station 24 hours nearby. Nice fish and chips in Golspie about 6 miles away and Sams bike shop if you need anything fixed if you have a bike.

Great site, great location - very busy

This is another lovely site on the ever popular Route 500. Make sure you book if you want to stay there in season. Access is good, although over a narrow bridge, so take care! Quiet site, nicely laid out, although part of the site looked quite crammed in on hardstanding 'dead end'. Was so busy our motorhome ended up on grass which isn't ideal, but was OK for one night. Facilities etc are clean and tidy. Short walk over the golf course to a lovely beach, great advice given by the wardens re the nesting birds. Could do with more laundry facilities now it is so busy - three of us were trying to use 1 machine.

Second visit in 3 months.

We found this site by accident in May and fell in love with it. We booked 3 nights for my birthday last week and ended up staying 6. The wardens are helpful but not pushy. The facilties are exceptionally clean and well maintained, and the location is fantastic with easy access to a sandy beach just a short walk across the golf course and distant views of hills and the most amazing air, I haven't slept so well. We had hoped to go back mid to late October but they are closing towards the end of September. Roll on 2018 season.
