Very Impressed with the Covid Arrangements

Just returned after 4 nights at the lively club site. It was very well organised with good system, sineage and sanitising stations. We have been waiting a long time and we felt very safe here. Well done to all the wardens and the Club. Thank you.

Large but perfectly formed

Having just spent 2 nights on this site, I would recommend this to families or people who love open space and being a bit nosey! Having been recently redeveloped, it lacks a lot of character, its very open and when the wind blows, boy does it blow! You can't fault the facilities, very clean and flat and new! It was full as we left so lots of motorhomes and caravans to look at - bit like a show at the NEC! Its a great site for chatting to your neighbours cause there's not much privacy to be had. It has a fab dog walk on site, and a short walk over the main road and through the golf course and you are on the headland at the far north end of Bridlington. Easy access to Sewerby Hall on foot and all the costal walks you could every want. Bit hilly, but lots of local bike rides, even if a little busy with road traffic. Lots of see and do on the coast, Flamborough Head and the RSPB at Bempton Cliffs (get there early if you are driving the carpark is small) If you have motorhome you don't need to use it to visit places, lots to see and do on foot. Highly recommend the Farm Shop/Cafe a short walk up the road Marton Manor - great lunches and tasty treats to tempt you.

Back to Bridders again

Well Boris has said when we can get away from end of April fingers crossed, so now we have booked weekly visits to the site from April right through to October with the exception of August, which shows how highly we regard this site. l know theirs Fabulous sites on the network but this suits us down to the ground, we have everything from walking, cycling, Golfing, seal watching, eating out and just chilling out. We have never had any trouble with the wardens all have been exceptional, which shows how well the site is kept. We have been coming here since the site opened at least twice a year, first in our caravans and now in our MotorHome. The situation of the site allows access to everything we need without taking the MotorHome off site frequently, bus stop outside the site with routes to all places. In 18 months l will be 70, l recently just got over prostrate cancer with the help of the wonderful hospital the Christie so these next couple of years will be spent looking at lodges in the local area, we have enjoyed our years touring and that's been made to happen by the CMC that gives sites to this standard

Great site, weather can't be booked

Great site for location, cleanliness, layout, pitches, peace & quiet and dogs although dog walk is quite soggy and muddy with no dog shower on site. Nice walk down to Ship Inn at Sewerby and good pub food. For eating out you must try Seabirds at Flamborough - fantastic! Great walks at Flamborough & Bempton and of course, along the beach which goes for miles!

Didn't they think it rained in Bridlington?

Just got back from our first ever week in Bridlington. Nice site in good location with average English weather for time of year. Site was fairly full so we pitched in the new field - a recent extension to the site. First the good points - wide pitches, well separated with plenty of grass between, excellent new toilet facilities kept spotlessly clean by the warden team, choice of pitches between fully in open or sheltered by hedge. However, after a night of rain, the grass was a quagmire and an opposite pitch (127) flooded to about 10cm and engulfing the occupants' awning. Water was pouring down from neighbouring pitch. All over extension are the grass was very boggy, with some being roped off. I checked the grass in the old part of site - no problems. There is clearly a drainage problem on the new section - must be poor design as the underlying subsoil is free-draining chalk. I hope that this is a one-off, otherwise C&MHC needs to get its engineers out to look at the problem.

Lovely site in a great setting

We really enjoyed five nights last week at Bridlington club site. The hard standing pitches are large. If you are on a serviced pitch bring an extra length of water pipe as the service posts for water are between pitches. Tv boosters available. Good phone and 4G signal. It’s a fair walk into Bridlington, about half an hour, but you can walk through open parkland next to Sewerby Hall. You can walk freely through the grounds of Sewerby hall with no admission cost. To the north you have Flamborough head which is a beautiful place. There are a number of beaches and the RSPB site at Bempton cliffs cannot fail to impress you. We were warmly welcomed on arrival by a female warden which was a great welcome. During this period plan carefully where to pitch as the narrow pathways between the different areas have been closed off temporarily meaning you have to take the long walk round. The only thing that spoiled our stay was being told off quite rudely by a different female warden when we arrived back from our bike ride and were about to ride through the gap at the side of the barrier. We were spoken to like naughty school children. I have never stayed on a site where cyclists have had to use the barrier key fob before. Apart from this incident Bridlington site comes highly recommended by us and will love to return.

Excellent and safe standards

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bridlington site. Staff excellent .Check in was efficient but I did feel that a yellow road grid needs painting on the narrrow bend into the site as motorhomes/caravans leaving the site can’t get past the early arrivals parked up on the narrow road .

Excellent standards of cleanliness very evident on site but my main gripe was not having access to a toilet at all during cleaning times in our facility block,  necessitating a long walk around the site to use the other toilet block. This was during the heavy winds and torrential rain in Sept. Normally, people are able to use the access paths between different areas of the site but these have been cordoned off under Covid measures. Is it not possible to maintain the separate disabled toilet facility during the 90 minute cleaning closure?

The second toilet block was cleaned/closed in the afternoon. I do think this is far more convenient and should be the norm for other sites that only have 1 facility block (Bridlington has two separate facility blocks).

Sanitiser was readily available around the site including at water/waste points. Laundry block open which was v much appreciated during our extended touring trip.

Site has good access to walks and a local farm shop /tea room nearby ( bit expensive). Co-op store also short drive away. TV reception good and grounds well maintained. Thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay here and would return again. Thank you wardens for all your hard work .

First time in site

First time at this site having had it recommended by friends. Will definitely go back. Lovely well maintained site and staff very friendly. Pitches are very spacious and all are good, close to both flamborough and sewerby.

Grand site.

This was our first holiday with the dog. Loved the site, very nicely laid out. Perfect spot for getting on the coast be it north or south. Handy dog walking area. Coping just fine with the current bug. Staff were friendly and helpful. The only very small problem for us, which I know seems to be the same on most sites, was the constant mowing. I know it has to be done but we had a full afternoon of the drive by mower too-ing and fro-ing...and then the leaf blowing! Well, the weather was just grand.

Great staycation

Check in was quick and the staff were really efficient and helpful. The site is clean and the pitches are spacious. The on-site facilities are good and are cleaned thoroughly. The staff are always about during the day and are very approachable and have a wealth of knowledge. The site is well located for walking into Bridlington and into Flamborough. The site is also on the bus route to both locations should you not wish to walk or drive. We had a great staycation at Bridlington and have booked to return later this year
