Quality, pre-trip information very clear.
However, We actually missed the entrance and ended up turning round in Flamborough!
VERY warmly welcomed on arrival and when we explained it was our first ever visit in our first ever caravan, the female warden couldn’t have been more friendly, helpful and re-assuring.
We were advised to select one of the pitches close to the hedges on the ‘newer’ section.
Wise choice!
Flat as a pancake and close enough to the Pristine clean, perfectly maintained facilities.
And what sunrises! (OK, not something the Wardens can take credit for but wonderful, nonetheless!)
Despite only a couple of nights stay for our first visit, we saw several folk regularly and efficiently maintaining the grassed areas as well as the facilities.
Never having ever emptied a toilet cassette, that was perhaps our major apprehension before arriving. OK, so we have nothing to compare yet but Big Thanks to the wardens here for Ensuring such an important part of the location was so clean and very easy to use.
The nearby toilet block was VERY clean. The Covid-necessary arrangements for entry was working almost faultlessly. Wrist bands in ‘Milton’ containers outside entrances Weren’t misused whilst we were there although a couple of fellers seemed unable to follow the direction of the very clear one-way arrowed route round the block.
Excellent showers - clean, large cubicles with very hot, plentiful water.
Only a couple of SLIGHT negatives. I did find it a tad tricky when we were leaving cos, as has been mentioned in other reviews, some pre-12 arrivers meant it was tricky for me - a still quite inexperienced caravan tower- to negotiate around the left corner on the rather narrow road section after the barrier.
Also, if you do have some personal mobility issues, the location isn’t really close enough to walk to easy-access views, walks etc. However, many lovely east coast places to pop over to are just a short drive away.
So pleased with our first visit that we have booked a second visit later this month for a slightly longer stay.
Thanks to the excellent Bridlington team.
Fourth Visit to this site to visit Family
We have family that live in Bridlington so we visit this site often (in and out of season)...very clean and excellent facilities. The wardens are all very pleasant and helpful and the site currently has a system where you book in without leaving your vehicle.
The dog walking facilities are lovely and convenient. We always use our bikes to get around as the site is within walking and cycling distance of the town centre and local pubs and restaurants.
Very welcoming
I have been here quite a few times as I have family nearby. The staff as always were friendly and welcoming despite the social distancing required Facilities were clean and access system for toilet block worked well. I particularly like the dog walk area, just the right amount of space for my dog to have a free run. Despite full occupancy the staff were able to keep the grounds and flower displays looking immaculate and service areas were regularly tidied. Thank you to all concerned with the running of this site, I had a great stay and look forward to coming again.
Beware the early arrivers blocking the drive
We are regulars at this site and enjoy the site, its location, cleanliness, etc etc no complaints. The openness of the new section is probably due to it only been open a year or two with hedges etc not having time to grow yet. It does save sitting in the shade of trees when the sun comes out.
However a point to be aware of is the trouble we had leaving the site on our day of departure recently.
Not wanting to rush off the site and relax on our last morning we started moving off our pitch at 11.25am still within time. However on getting to the exit the usual early arrivers were there queuing. This wouldn't be a problem but they were on the bend of the drive just before the reception. This made getting round the corner extremely difficult almost impossible resulting in a scuffed nearside wheel on the kerb.
So if you must arrive long before 12noon in your efforts to get the best pitches please don't park on the last bend before reception, park on the straight parts of the drive, leave the bend free and let the people leaving within their time room to do so.
Perhaps a few cones on the bend at busy times to stop waiting there may assist as I've seen arrivals queuing at 11 am in the past.
Treated like Children by very rude wardens
We have stayed on many club sites and we have never been spoken to so rudely by these wardens on this site. We are not children and do not appreciate being treated as them. On arrival I was instructed to stay in my car as the signs apparently told us to do. Problem was they had blown down and we do not appreciate being bellowed at to get in our car. We were slightly early on arrival and very rudely told we would not be dealt with till 12. We have never ever been spoken to like we were by these wardens. The tape round the toilets and the very rude signs about the site were not welcome by us at all. Threatening to remove you off site if you were trying to save a spot for your family. These holidays are paid for by us and I think this is forgotten by these wardens. I sincerely hope this review goes back to the relevant people mentioned. I would never stay here again although the site is in a lovely position. The wardens manners need addressing by the club in my opinion.

VAT beware !
after coming here before we really looked forward to staying at this site, however, our experience on arrival was not what we would have expected.
The member of staff who was booking us in was very arguementative, she tried to overcharge us regarding the new vat rate and was most insistent that she was right! After several exchanges and our proof of costs she rechecked her system and conceeded that there had been an error,no apology was forthcoming.Later, on asking more questions re local info was given very abrupt answers by another member of staff which amounted to -find out yourself !
Covid measures were clearly being abused with members hanging on to bands for themselves.
Experienced better systems at other club sites, one being that you had a band numbered to your pitch which you retained for the duration of your stay, this was placed on a peg board outside of shower/loo blocks,if peg full you waited till one became vacant.
Paths to showers/loo were blocked off forcing members to walk over pitches, this was unneccessary as you could easily walk down paths whilst others waited at the other end.Common sense!

First and last time at Bridlington
We found a pitch on, what I presume, is the newer part of the site. Very open area with large pitches but little vegetation or planting, just large areas of open grass between pitches. We parked up opposite the toilet block as we need easy access to the facilities but almost immediately regretted it. The world and his wife, and lots of small children, decided to take the shortest route to the block across our pitch. I don't just mean the grass area between pitches, but right across the gravel, even when we were sitting out side! I was actually concerned about going out for the day, expecting to come back to a dent in the side of our van from one of the children cycling across our pitch from the grass area. I'm all for children enjoying themsleves and having a holiday but surely (some as young as 5) should be under some sort of supervision. It didn't help (as others have mentioned) that the path is fenced off, which might otherwise have been used by some. I think this is a bit over the top as its quite easy to wait for someone else to walk down tthe path first. What is really needed is is some planting and fencing across the centre of the grass area to stop people tramping across it. There is no direct access to the coastal path from the site. We cut across the golf course and through the back of Sewerby Hall to get to the coast on the first occasion - not an official footpath I suspect. Also, we walked to Flamborough Head from Danes Dyke about a mile from the site along the main road. There is parking at Danes Dyke but we didn't want to move our motorhome. Unfortunately, being unable to sit outside our van in peace and quiet, has put us off coming back.
COVID measures
We come to this site several times a year, however this was our first visit since the Covid restrictions have been in place. Whilst we appreciate the need to keep everyone safe, we do feel that here the measures in some instances are a wee bit over the top! The wristband system for the loo blocks, would work if people didn’t walk off with them, also it would be better to have different colours for the loos and showers, as often all the showers are taken, and people are left standing outside with legs crossed!! The loo blocks are cleaned once daily, however when closed visitors have to use the block in the other pitching area, which is a good 400 yard walk, as the footpaths have been cordoned off - although you can see the full length of them and could easily wait to safely use them. However it is a lovely site and we will return as usual.
First time at Bridlington site
A very well laid out site with modern clean facilities which is what every club member wishes to find on arrival. The wardens were excellent and well organised and had us under the barrier in no time at all. We enjoyed visiting Bempton Cliffs, Flamborough and Dane’s Dyke. We also got a good tip for an excellent fish and chip shop not far from site. My only gripe during our visit, which had no bearing on the site staff or their excellent site, was the way in which fellow members had abused the splendid dog walk by not picking up after their dogs. Come on fellow members-do your bit for everyone.

Lovely well laid out site with efficient staff
We are cautious about visiting new sites at the moment (COVID 19) but the arrangements on site gave us confidence. The staff are excellent and very helpful, whilst maintaining social distance. The site was very busy (Full) as are most sites at the moment. Despite this we didn’t feel at risk or crowded in.
