Great Location ideal for the sites

Stayed here for two nights last mid-week. The site is in a great location about 3-5 miles from the Town Centre. There is a bus service Mon to Fri just around the corner it takes about 40 minutes to the Tower in the centre and costs £2.50 per Adult. A taxi back costs around £9.50. The toilets are very clean and the wardens are great, as usual you know what you are going to get at a CC site. As some have said before there is a lot of gravel it would be good to see more grass, the noise from the M55 can be a bit annoying. Other than that a great stay and will be back.

great site

we have just had three weeks at this site and it,s been great not for blackpool but for st annes and lytham it,s name should be changed to st annes site the site is spotless & clean every where .but I will say you can look all over the uk sites and you will find no better wardens ( male & female ) than the two pair of wardens they have here nothing is to much trouble for them what ever the time I mean they even grow herbs for campers to take for free this is really the friendly club site .the only down side is I believe they are both moving to other sites next season what a sad loss but some one elses gain perhaps the club could clone them ???

Friendly welcome

We've just had 3 nights at this site. Ideal for visiting Blackpool, St Anne's and Lytham. There is some road noise hence my score of 4/5. Facilities are clean and tidy. We like the double barrier at night so you feel safe and secure. Wardens are very helpful and welcoming!

Mid-June 2015

Stopped off here for 3 nights on our way south mid-June. For a short stop over we had only booked a pitch without awning. Since the site was not fully booked, the warden suggested we could choose any pitch and we did, choosing what we thought was just perfect for us. The wardens were very friendly and helpful. Site facilities were just fine and the toilet block was well looked after. We would consider this site again but not for Blackpool itself - rather for exploring the area. good location ...... alot of gravel

This is the 3rd visit here and its a great location for a base to go into Blackpool for the day.  Clean, quiet and relaxed.  The only critisism I would have is as I'm sitting right now infront of our caravan having breakfast, the amount of gravel makes the site look like a caravan dealer rather than a caravan site. Very grey and bland. A bit more greenery wouldn't go a miss. Chris

Noisy - but you dont go to Blackpool for peace anyway!

The site wardens were lovely and very helpful, the site itself is clean and well kept, lovely spacious pitches and location is ideal for popping into Blackpool. Decent Wifi and great TV reception - no aerial hook up but not needed. The road past the site is noisy (didn't bother me) and there was some, loud, live music nearby all of Saturday evening until late (which actually drove me a bit crazy but nobody else was bothered by it, so maybe it's just me!) however you don't go to Blackpool for the peace and quiet. We had a super time and will be returning for the Illuminations.

Enjoyable Family Getaway

Just arrived home after spending what can only be described as an enjoyable 4 nights away at Blackpool South Caravan Site. We arrived on the Tuesday just after midday. It is a very easy location to find and we were immediately made welcome by the wardens. They let us choose our own pitch and even advised us on certain pitches that would better accommodate us as they were located next to the play area which was ideal as we have children. We also took our dog for the first time and although there is no dog walking area on the site the warden advised us on using the lane at the back of the premises which is accessible through the gate at the rear. The facilities are well maintained and very clean. Blackpool, Lytham and St Anne's are all just a short drive away so there is plenty to keep you and your family entertained. All in all a very nice site and we would certainly pay it another visit.

Great First Caravanning Trip With The Dogs

Very friendly site, very peaceful, we opted for the furthest pitch away from the children's play area as we had dogs with us. Lots of helpful advise to us first timers from other visitors. We took 3 dogs with us with no issues, there is no on site dog walking facilities (however realistically who would want to pitch next to one?), and yes there is a main road outside, however just a short stride away there is a good area for them to walk, and if you want to let them run free then the beach is just down the road, the lack of dog facilities on this site would definitely not put us off from staying again, if fact we are planning our next visit!
