So nice, but so disappointing
On arrival we thought that the site was very nice we were impressed by the nice lady in reception and the introduction to the site. We found a spacious pitch and after that it was rather downhill - this being due to roads surrounding the site. We were in a motorhome so on foot had to risk our life crossing round abouts off the motor way to get to a bus stop to take us to Blackpool. The road which the site was on was very busy and attracted people speeding on motorbikes with no helmets both dangerous and intimidating - given this was in the evening. There were lots of horse and carts also flying about (come to your own conclusion on this one), As there was no dog walking area, some dog owners had let their dogs make mess on the grass and not cleared it. The site was quiet at night and although we did not use the shower blocks we looked at them and they were spotless. The shop sells the usual basics and there are bins for recycling. We did not find the water points but could imagine this not that easy given the layout. Its hard to judge as if in caravan with car then you would easily get to Blackpool and it is well placed. But being on foot, simply too dangerous to cross the roads to get there.
Whilst the site was quiet at night, early evening there were groups of children scottering around and as you are fairly close you can hear your neighbours speak. This in all fairness we prefer smaller CL sites which allow more room.
