You can not fault the wardens as they kept the site clean and tidy as well as being very friendly and helpful when needed.Great site will be back, also the building works did not interfere with our stay there.
First trip of 2016
We stayed 5 nights in March and had a peaceful time the area is very good for days out and the site is quiet and has good facilities even though they were being updated during our stay. The only drawback were the builders leaving very limited access for walking in and out. The main area was fenced off and a temporary path
made around the side. All safe and OK except it was almost impossible to use with a wheel chair/electric scooter as pebbles had been used to make the path as bad as Brighton beach ending in a normal Kerb drop and tight turn. The very helpful wardens seem not to be able to correct this except by emailing offsite office!!! We had been warned of the work but assured full access for disabled was available but this clearly was not the case.
Nice Site
Stayed for 2 weeks in March, met up with some friends. Stayed on a fully serviced pitch, was possibly the best pitch on the site. Bit cold but the weather was OK.
Dog walk was useful.
Many nice places to visit without driving too far, Dogs were allowed on the beaches before 1st May.
WiFi aslo useful.
Building work didn't cause us a problem.
Good site if you like rabbit pie!!!

Lovely site
We stayed here for a long weekend away (beginning of March) to get out in our caravan. The site was peaceful, clean and the staff very friendly. There was some building work taking place but this did not impact on our stay at all. There's a nice play area for children although our daughter is too young to use it would be lovely for children slightly older. The site is in a great location for visiting Folkestone particularly 'the lees park' which would be great in the summer as well as the beaches. We also visited Hythe which is a short car ride away for a lovely walk along the sea front and lunch. A great site for a long weekend away.

Great stay
We stayed at the beginning of March so the weather was still quite chilly but this didn't detract from us having a pleasant stay. Building works ongoing whilst we stayed. Very difficult to peg down awning on hard standing area. Dog walk great. Very specific pitching instructions. I.e. Have to park car where they say.
Will come again
The site was very clean staff was very nice and helpful the only one thing is that there was some building work but that won't stop us staying again
building works and poor weather give false impression
We have stayed at this site in previous years and thoroughly enjoy it's position for coastal and inland attractions. Sadly, on this occasion the site suffered from ongoing works and in consequence, a distinct lack of the care and attention usually experienced on CC locations(e.g. toilet block door not closing; hooks missing in cubicles; scarcity of recycling bins.) It would be wrong to criticise the wardens as they fought an uphill battle against the construction work and atrocious weather of last week and I feel sure the site will return to it's normal high standard when all the works are completed. I am certainly not deterred from using this site in the future.

Excellent
We stayed for one night ages ago just to get the ferry. This time stayed for two nights for a look about. Arrived just as preparations were being made to update toilets and reception and yes it was a bit muddy but that's what happens when the ground gets wet. Just stay with the paths. Despite this we thought the site was excellent value, clean and staff very helpful and welcoming. Got local bus to Folkestone (very expensive) and had really good carvery meal at SUNA which is opposite McDonald's. Don't know much about children's facilities as we try to keep away from them.

state of site
we have stayed here many times but this time we found it unkempt. the dog walk was in a very poor state, the walkways were not cleared of leaves and twigs. The toilet blocks were both very clean but the door on the mens didn't close due to the wood expanding, letting cold air in and rendering the radiator useless. Weeds were growing out of the guttering fallpipe at the dishwashing area. Hedges had been cut some time ago but the cuttings were not removed. The wardens were very nice and helpful, we have never seen them there before. The renovation work hadn't started so it was nothing to do with that. Between 28 Nov to 14 January we spent quite a lot on site fees through out this period and this was the worst kept site, not as it has been in the past.

First timer
Having just bought my motor home and had a whistlestop tour of its switches/plugs/dials/valves I thought I should take it for one night first to test it out. This site was ideal. Clearly signed, good spacious pitches, well laid out and the most helpful couple in reception who couldn't do enough for me. Useful tips on where to walk my dogs. How to get started and remedying my teething problems. I am full of confidence now and raring to go- a solo woman driver finding her feet.
