Stayed over the Christmas period to visit family. Lovely clean and tidy site, excellent facilities and very friendly staff. Would recommend and will stay again. Thank You.
We booked this site because we were using the tunnel first thing in the morning. I did have a bit of difficulty getting through to the site, but that was because they were moving offices. We arrived, and had a good pitch next to the wash block, as I am disabled. The disabled bathroom needs a radar key, which they should make clear on the web site. Fortunately, I had mine on me. This was the best disabled bathroom. It was clean, spotless, and it was WARM. A first for me!!!!it was also December. There was plenty of places to put your things, so they did not get wet. We only stayed one night, but would definitely go back again. Ps I saw loads of rabbits hopping around!!
We live in France and stayed on the site in our motorhome for one night in mid-December. It was our second time - the previous occasion was a couple of years ago. We chose the site because it is very convenient for the Tunnel, but it is also convenient for shops like Sainsbury's and Halfords in a nearby shopping centre.
The site itself is very well run: excellent hard standing for the camper, low lighting all night, lovely clean toilets, showers and laundry facilities, and excellent dog-walking facilities. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to the UK.
We have stayed at many sites in Europe & UK & Black Horse is one of the best. The showers are hot & strong without timers, with the facilities very clean & warm. There were plenty of refuse/recycling points which were emptied on a daily basis. The staff were very professional, friendly & helpful. There is a covenience store across the road complete with Post Office which was very friendly & had a good range of grocery items & magazines/papers. Park & Ride to Canterbury an easy 10 mins by car from site. Overall a very well run & maintained park (even in quieter periods) located centrally between Canterbury & Dover.
We found the site to be very easily accessible, the staff when checking in were extremely helpful, the site was well looked after and the facilities were very good and very clean. We also popped over to the pub for a meal which was located just outside the gates, excellent meal and service. The bus stops were equally very close and the buses very frequent, all in all, a very good experience and will have no problem with visiting again
The staff here are very friendly and helpful but I just don't get why I get charged for Wifi access on top of the site fees. There were also signs about "new fees" for the washers and dryer.
Che cleanliness is excellent and as I was there midweek in early November it was very quiet.
The local pub is friendly and has free Wifi - I'd rather pay for a beer while I check my emails if the is not too much more than the cost of Wifi - although I know some people abuse Wifi and stream movies.
I will use it again!
I put the families bit square in the middle of the ratings as I am single so I really wouldn't know but I couldn't post without a rating
We had a 4 night break here mid October. Friendly wardens, nice facilities. Excellent location on bus route. Lots to see and do in the area. We'll be back.
Once again we have enjoyed our stay at Black Horse Club site. The wardens were very helpful and pleasant. Quiet, clean, all you need for a relaxing holiday. Close to Folkestone, Dover and Canterbury so ideal site for visiting many interesting places in Kent.
After booking in last minute for a weekend at Black horse club site in Densole Kent, we found the wardens very welcoming and helpful. On arrival, finding out we had our handicapped son with us they relocated us to be closer to the disabled facilities. We found the toilet blocks to be well looked after and cleaned to a high standard, the heating was set to a comfortable level. The site itself is very good. The Black horse pub 1 min along the road is friendly and serves up good meals.
