Wet Stay

We stayed for two nights in November. It rained most of the time. However the wardens were cheerful and friendly, the site facilities were clean and the site was well kept despite a never-ending battle with the falling leaves. As motor homers we like to choose sites near shops/transport. There is a well stocked small supermarket right opposite this site and a bus stop very near the site entrance. The bus service is frequent and will take you either into Folkestone or to Canterbury. Despite the weather we enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return.

Our first with a motorhome

We arrived just on cut-off time but were still greeted very cordially. The facilities are excellent, it is well manicured, the staff we dealt with were helpful and friendly. The bus service to Folkestone or Canterbury is very regular and the Black Horse pub across the road serves good, freshly cooked food with generous helpings. This was our first stay on any Caravan Club site, so if the rest measure up to this one we are looking forward to a very pleasant future. PS We've booked in for this weekend as well.

Better & Better.

Yes ,better & better can only describe the Black Horse C.C site, since the new reception/office facility has been finished ,and extra site park up places & hard standings accepting long outfits too..Very good for early get.a.ways for channel crossings.I have used this site many times and will continue to do so,particularly as the pub over the road serves up some very good locally sourced food.

Take care leaving.

We stayed here in November and found it up to the usual club standards as regards facilities and site appearance. Wardens were helpful and cheerful. Pub across the road does some very good food (we are both vegies and had a choice on the menu). Site is used by many as a stop either before or after doing a channel crossing, it's very close to channel tunnel and ferries. Do take great care when leaving as the left hand corner by reception is very deceptive, I missed the railings but not the kerb (railings were very close to side of van). So you have been warned!

Great for Eurotunnel

Great as stopover for Eurotunnel but a bit expensive, site facilities 10 out of 10.

Perfect weekend away

We went along to this site for a weekend away with our Children and Grandchildren. Us in our Motorhome and the family in their Caravan. It really is very friendly and toilets and site are kept in an immaculate condition. The staff were extremely helpful. It has a pub in walking distance and a shop opposite the entrance which sold everything. We found the 20 minute walk to the garden centre cafe was well worth the effort as the cafe had good food at a very reasonable price. Buses pass the site very 15 minutes and we used this for a trip into Canterbury on the Saturday  much better than trying to park a car. This site would also be good if you wanted to do a day trip to France as it is so convenient for the tunnel and ferry services. We will definitely use this site again. We will definitely be back.

Short break in Kent

spent 3 nights here late October 2016 & found it to be a very pleasant site indeed. Obviously gets a lot of Channel overnighters but these are split away from the longer-term users. The site is peaceful, clean, well laid out with good facilities. The wardens were friendly, of course, like all CC sites in our experience! Liked the site and would look forward to using it again on any return to Kent. p.s. The nearby Battle of Britain Museum is REALLY worth a visit.

Kent holiday

Our first stay at this site. Very clean, pitches were flat. Toilet block very clean, spacious showers.  Wardens friendly.  Although we had to cut our stay short we enjoyed the time we were here.
