First class site next to Eurotunnel

We found this site totally first class. It's within 10 minutes of the eurotunnel entrance and has a fantastic pub over the road which does excellent food. Remember t o book or you will not get Fed. It's busy. The site is spotless and the pitches are very large and very flat. We has a special pitch but they had others as well as touch and go parking spaces close to the gate. Very dog friendly. Very well run. Info sheets answer all your questions. Fuel very close also. A fantastic site. First class. Fully recommended.

Very handy for the ferry and tunnel

We've stayed here a couple of times now on the way to Europe, and it ticks all the boxes. Really good idea to have dedicated ferry pitches, so as not to cause to much disturbance with early departures. One niggle - do watch out for those steps when accessing the toilet block, they can be a bit hazardous in the near dark.

Great for Dover and Ferries

Very friendly, lovely flat pitches - great idea having "ferry pitches" so people holidaying are not disturbed by early departures. Visited the Black Horse pub, great food (although the day we went it was not "all day opening" and started at 6pm. The cask ales consisted of Doombar. Friendly staff. There is a convenience store just across the road, yet again lovely friendly staff and had most things. If you have not been to Dover Castle (English Heritage) we recommend a 2 night stay to enable you to visit it. Have been once before, and would not hesitate in going back.,

Another easy stop over

We have been to this site many times en-route to Europe, it is ideally placed for the Eurotunnel, being only a few miles away. The site is always clean and tidy and the wardens are very helpful, especially, when you are arriving late or/and leaving early. This last time as we had warned we could be late, we received a phone call telling us exactly how to get in late, as the barriers would be down. One of these days we'll get chance to stay longer and explore the area better.

Good site

Great site for ferry and also on a bus route, stop just outside but beware of crossing the busy road. Visited Canterbury, Folkestone and Hythe whilst there using a day pass. Site was clean and has a drying room which was great overnight to dry our clothes. Lots of rabbits on site which my toddler watched for hours. Would stay again when using the ferry.

Great site

Great stay at Black Horse Farm, very clean, friendly staff, toilet cleaning at sensible times during the day and a great pub across the road. Why go to Daleacres?

Great for a Visit to Canterbury

We stayed at this site for one night on the way to Canterbury. It was very easy to find and had everything we needed. The toilet and shower block could be updated but it was warm and clean. The site was very quiet and peaceful.

Ferry good

Used once again for just one night for the ferry. Everything as it should be but the toilet block though clean is well past its best. Must make the effort to stay longer and explore.
