Excellent friendly support from the site wardens

We stay at BHF often on the way to the tunnel. Our warden experience has been variable over the years, but the wardens on duty on December 12th were brilliant. We arrived just after 5pm needing a propane refill. Although the site itself doesn't stock gas (surely it should?), the wardens were really helpful and called a local caravan dealer and arranged for him to stay beyond his 5pm closing time to supply us with a refill ahead of our early crossing the next day. A big thank-you to the wardens and their local dealer - BHF is a great site, and the super customer service enhanced our short stay even more.

Tunnel Stopover

Just minutes away from Tunnel, both leaving the UK early & returning late. Pitch instructions left in cabinet, In & Out Job Done!

Just spend a few days at this site so we could explore Folkestone area

Well situated site! Bus stop, local shop and pub within yards of the entrance. Obviously we stayed at a very quiet time of year but there was still quite a few fellow motor homers and caravans making the most of the sunny autumn weather and the serenity of the site. Beautifully kept and the staff were very helpful! Plus there is a great dog walk on the site!!! Also lovely local footpaths which are well sign posted and looked after by volunteers'perfect for enjoying the surrounding countryside especially when the autumnal colours are at their best. Surprisingly one of the 'campers' was only from Dover - he likes staying for a little bit of 'peace and quiet' what more can you say???

Great Location

Lovely site meeting the high standards of the club. Great if you want a trip over the water to France. Only thing is the damn Cockeral in the farm next door giving it large at an early hour! Did tend to do away with the need for a clock. A guaranteed wake up,call before daybreak. The site has a very large Rabbit population and this could cause a problem if left unchecked. Overall a lovely site well worth a stay. Very friendly, helpful wardens too.

Clean; easy to get to; good pub nearby but no cellular reception

Nice site well organised. Great washrooms, clean and modern. Lovely showers hot and they stay on. There is a good pub just a couple of minutes walk from the entrance and a general store literally opposite the main entrance. Also great accessibility; exit the M20 then a couple of miles on a large A road - couldn't be easier. Only downside was zero cellular signal (both voice GSM nor data 4G)

Superb site

Stayed here for 3 nights this month {October}. Staff friendly and welcoming and the site is beautifully managed. This site ticks every box for us and we could not fault it. Bus stop near the entrance makes it easy to get about . Great area. Lots to do; we did a day trip from Dover to Calais as we enjoy spending time at sea. Lovely day out. We will definitely be returning.

Ideal location for exploring this area

We stayed on the site last week. Staying for 7 nights, the site is well managed, tidy and spacious, facilities excellent. No 16 bus stop within a few minutes walk away. We used the bus daily to get to Dover, Canterbury, Folkestone and Hythe. Very reliable service and very useful for us as walkers. The Black Horse pub also a few minutes walk provided excellent food and service. Close by is Battle of Britain museum 4 minutes on the bus. The site is ideally located to explore this fascinating area packed with war time history and the fantastic coast. Highly recommended. We will return without hesitation.

Good site for our first trip

We came here straight from picking up our new motorhome. We were made very welcome and the facilities were clean and well kept. There were planters with herbs that you could use, what a thoughtful touch. We sent our 3 nights here organising our motorhome and as this was not too far from home we knew the area so there was nothing for us to see that was new. No good for walking or a cycle route but there is a bus stop close to the site entrance. Littl3 shop across the road from the site which is useful. It is an excellent location for trips to the continent being close to both the eurotunnel and Dover docks.

Lovely site, great way to start our holiday (and finish it too!)

Stayed July and August 2017. A great site with excellent staff who were very helpful and most obliging. The toilet blocks were very clean, warm, well appointed and well maintained. The site is tidy and beautifully landscaped and surprisingly quiet to say that many guests are transiting to and from the channel ports and arriving and departing at different times. The late night arrivals system is excellent and the wardens are very helpful when you know you are going to be later than anticipated. My hard to please husband remarked that he'd like to stay here longer than the two nights either side of our holiday every year. There is a shop across the road from the site and a pub just a little further down the road. Dogs are welcome too which is a must for my family. Will be visiting again next year and possibly for longer than one night.
