very nice site

we have just returned from a weeks holiday staying here, the site is very easy to get to being on the side of the A260, its got a handy shop on the opposite side of road, and a pub a few meters futher up (we didnt use it so cant say what its like). the site is very well kept the wardens are fantastic they do put up with a lot, this has got to be the most busy site we have been on, god only knows how many visiters they get, I guess most is ferry traffic, didnt bother us though as they are kept at the top of the site, the site is well placed for some lovley places to visit, although we were a week early for some, but there are some lovley walks not far away

Great site and very convenient for channel tunnel

This is the second time we have been on this site and find it a very clean and efficiently run site ideally located for the channel tunnel. Friendly little pub a short walk away which is dog friendly (even has a dog menu ). Though the downside is if your dog is unsociable then be prepared as most likely there will be other dogs in the pub, although it is very spacious and you will probably find a corner. The food is good and they have a vegetarian choice available. Folkestone is nearby and has a large beach promenade and some nice cafes etc.

Fantastic stop for ferry or eurotunnel.

We stayed at this site on our way to catch the ferry and on our return from the ferry port at Dover. The site is well located for both the ferry and the Eurotunnel. It took around 20 minutes to reach Dover ferry port from the site. The site is spotlessly clean, both in the toilets, showers and dishwashing facilities. There is an excellent service point for motorhomes at the entrance/exit point of the site. On our return from our holidays and the second stay at Blackhorse farm we spoke with one of the site wardens who had just started for the upcoming summer season. He was really friendly and as we are new to the caravan and Motorhome Club he was recommending some of the sites he has stayed at over the years. To sum up we would definitely return and use the site when we will be going across the Channel and also if we wanted to visit other interesting areas near to Blackhorse Farm.

Best site

Absolutely fantastic wardens, very friendly and helpful. Toilet blocks spotless and warm. Site is immaculate. One of the best caravan club sites we stay on.

Weekend break

My husband and I had a two night stay at Blackhorse Farm, this is the second time we have stayed at this site and will definitely go there again. The site wardens are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. All the facilities were very clean, which cant of been easy as it was a very wet February weekend. We wished we had taken our dogs as there is a nice dog walk on site and a local dog friendly pub, where we enjoyed an evening meal. Highly recommend this site, we wished we could of stayed longer.

Great site and a great long weekend away

We stayed for a long weekend to visit Canterbury and surrounding area - 22/02/18 - 26/02/18 The site was very clean, tidy, quite and the facilities were excellent, clean and warm :) The dog walk area was clean and kept tidy, large enough for our dog to have a little run around, it was well sheltered by trees, but the ground was still firm and not muddy, which is an added bonus with a dog with white feet ;) The Warden and staff were very friendly. We are planning our return later on in the year. Thanks, Mat & Sarah

Lovely Warden

Stayed overnight as catching ferry, upon arrival the warden was the friendliest we have ever encountered in all our touring. Showers and toilet block were spotless.

Lovely site and an enjoyable birthday holiday

We decided to run away from impending pressure to hold a 50th birthday party. Black Horse Farm was open, near the sea and far away from being sociable! What we didn't expect was for it to be such a lovely place to be. The wardens on arrival were really friendly, the site was fairly quiet so we had a huge choice of pitches, the toilet blocks were their usual caravan club spotless (the showers in the bottom toilet block are amazing!). The site is well placed to visit so many things. Round about we visited Folkstone and Dover, Dover is much improved from the last few years o well worth a visit. We also spent time up on the iconic white cliffs, in fact there was so much to see and do within a short drive that we wished we could have stayed all week instead of three days. Thank you for a perfect birthday break!

Overnight stop

We stayed over on our way to the ferry. We got a very friendly welcome and went onto a ferry pitch. We didn't use any of the facilities as we were only there for a few hours. The site is convenient for the ferry, only a few minutes drive. A word of advice, fill up with fuel before going over to France as our fuel is cheaper.

Lovely site

We stayed at Black horse farm for New Year 17-18. The only problem we had was the rain! Lovely site. great facilities, a drying room that was a brilliant touch (not seen one before but that may be because we've never looked). The bus stops outside and goes to Hythe and Canterbury. The Black Horse pub down the road was very friendly, they gave us loads of local information as well and I must mention Quick fit in Folkstone who replaced the faulty valve in our caravan tyre for free. We will be going back at some point in 2018 maybe even for new year.
