We booked this site because we wanted somewhere fairly close to home but far enough away to feel away. We were delighted with the layout, the welcome we received, the cleanliness and tidiness and the location. With a shop just over the road and a Lidl very close by our needs were adequately catered for. Plenty to do in the area, we visited the Battle of Britain Memorial Site which we thought was beautiful and tranquil. Pay and display to park but not expensive, then the grounds and gardens are free to road with your dog (on a lead). My husband took the grandson into the Scramble Experience which the little boy loved - lots of buttons to press and screens to activate. Also very close to Folkestone beach and harbour arm, Samphire Hoe and Dover Castle and harbour. We will be back again and again I am sure.
Ideal for ferries
This was our first visit to the site before travelling abroad. Wardens were very welcoming and friendly and we were allocated a pitch which allowed us easy access to leave early in the morning for our ferry. Facilities were always clean and to usual Caravan club standards. We visited Canterbury while we were there and it is very easy to access by bus from outside the site. Well worth a visit. We had a relaxing stay at the site and will return in the future

Excellent site for trips to both Canterbury and Folkestone
We found this an excellent site with really helpful wardens and all the facilities kept very clean. We note that there have been adverse comments about the facilities but unfortunately it is the people staying on the site that are responsible for it not the wardens. For example , washing up sinks blocked by waste food mid evening !This is an ideal site as it's on a bus route and has connections to many on the Kent coast. As we enjoyed it so much we will be coming back
Ferry pitch
A fantastic welcome from the wardens, toilets near reception clean but starting to look dated. Allocated a hard standing ferry pitch but VERY disappointed to have to use levelling ramp to get our caravan level, how can a new hard standing pitch (come to think of it ANY hard standing pitch) need ramps to get level across the axle? It is just a sign or poor (or cheap) workmanship. Makes a quick and quiet early morning get-a-way very difficult.

Great site for us oldies!
We have been members of the club for 36 years and have high expectations of C&MC sites. Having used a site with the same name many years ago, The differences were amazing, so much so we're not convinced it's the same place.
This site is great for a relaxed, quiet and comfortable stay. Obviously useful for Channel Crossers but if you want to visit Canterbury or Folkestone/Hythe, it's perfect. Easy to access, bust stop almost right outside, post office/general store immediately opposite (lovely owners) and a great pub with food less than 100m away. What more do you want.
The site is perfectly maintained (typical C&MC), showers great and lovely, level hard standing pitches - grass pitches also so very good.
Wardens are fabulous, friendly, helpful and hard working. Toilet blocks excellent!
Will DEFINITELY return.
2nd time around
2nd visit to the site this year. Plenty of space, clean and ample facilities. Several good pubs within easy walking distance, but easier by the local bus which stops just outside the site. Grounds well maintained, but watch out for the rabbits. Well worth a stop over if you're travelling across the briny by ferry. I'll be back again around September. Had a great stay and the staff were excellent and friendly. Also very knowledgeable in relation to nearby attractions
Mad Bear Diving
This is the third time we have used this site and once again it has been superb.
We were late away and the reception staff were still waiting for us when we arrived at 6 p.m.
Cannot recommend highly enough.
If you do stay make sure you visit the Battle of Britain Memorial which is only a few miles away; a hugely emotive experience with lots of interactive activities for children and grown up.
Excellent site with pleasant, helpful staff
Stayed at Black Horse Farm several times which is an excellent location for the Tunnel or Ferry Ports with only a short drive to either. The site is geared up for early departures with pitches near to the site exit. The staff are always pleasant and helpful, the facilities spotlessly clean and the grounds well maintained. For those wishing to fuel up or stock up ready for the journey there are several large supermarkets & fuel stations within a short drive.
Excellent site
Immaculate site, friendly staff, spotless shower block, great choice of pitches. Black Horse pub across the road, and a convenient post office and shop. Buses run regularly from the bus stops near the entrance to the site. Ticks every box for us!

Great Location
Excellent site with super services. Location is ideal with a General Store across the road, The Black Horse Pub 100 yds down the road (it will be undergoing renovations in May 19). The campsite is on a Hythe to Canterbury bus route with busses running late into the evening; and a Rover day ticket costs only £4.50. Friendly and secure site. Ideal stopover for Dover Ferries.
