Great site for us oldies!

We have been members of the club for 36 years and have high expectations of C&MC sites. Having used a site with the same name many years ago, The differences were amazing, so much so we're not convinced it's the same place. This site is great for a relaxed, quiet and comfortable stay. Obviously useful for Channel Crossers but if you want to visit Canterbury or Folkestone/Hythe, it's perfect. Easy to access, bust stop almost right outside, post office/general store immediately opposite (lovely owners) and a great pub with food less than 100m away. What more do you want. The site is perfectly maintained (typical C&MC), showers great and lovely, level hard standing pitches - grass pitches also so very good. Wardens are fabulous, friendly, helpful and hard working. Toilet blocks excellent! Will DEFINITELY return.

2nd time around

2nd visit to the site this year. Plenty of space, clean and ample facilities. Several good pubs within easy walking distance, but easier by the local bus which stops just outside the site. Grounds well maintained, but watch out for the rabbits. Well worth a stop over if you're travelling across the briny by ferry. I'll be back again around September. Had a great stay and the staff were excellent and friendly. Also very knowledgeable in relation to nearby attractions

Mad Bear Diving

This is the third time we have used this site and once again it has been superb. We were late away and the reception staff were still waiting for us when we arrived at 6 p.m. Cannot recommend highly enough. If you do stay make sure you visit the Battle of Britain Memorial which is only a few miles away; a hugely emotive experience with lots of interactive activities for children and grown up.

Excellent site with pleasant, helpful staff

Stayed at Black Horse Farm several times which is an excellent location for the Tunnel or Ferry Ports with only a short drive to either. The site is geared up for early departures with pitches near to the site exit. The staff are always pleasant and helpful, the facilities spotlessly clean and the grounds well maintained. For those wishing to fuel up or stock up ready for the journey there are several large supermarkets & fuel stations within a short drive.

Excellent site

Immaculate site, friendly staff, spotless shower block, great choice of pitches. Black Horse pub across the road, and a convenient post office and shop. Buses run regularly from the bus stops near the entrance to the site. Ticks every box for us!

Great Location

Excellent site with super services. Location is ideal with a General Store across the road, The Black Horse Pub 100 yds down the road (it will be undergoing renovations in May 19). The campsite is on a Hythe to Canterbury bus route with busses running late into the evening; and a Rover day ticket costs only £4.50. Friendly and secure site. Ideal stopover for Dover Ferries.

Great stopover

Great site for visiting East Kent. Buses from the gate to Folkestone and Canterbury. Large site plenty of service points and good amenities. Also good if catching a ferry/Euro Tunnel, or need a break after arriving back. Warm welcome from the team and pitches are a good size. small amount of noise from main road but this is minimal. Would stay here again.

Better than just an overnight halt

We've now stayed several times at Black Horse Farm site, just before a ferry/train crossing. It's perfect for that, but this time we had an extra day - I travelled into London on the high-speed train - St. Pancras in under an hour. My husband used the bus outside the site into Folkestone and then walked for 10 miles along the coast, thoroughly enjoying it. We also noticed the bus goes in the other direction to Canterbury, which would be a good day out. As always, a warm welcome and, if you are staying on a ferry pitch, an efficient arrangement. If you're staying on the main site, it's very rural, you could be anywhere. Currently it may be worth considering using the M2 rather than the M20 due to the Project Brock set up for Brexit - 15 miles of two lane operation northbound; southbound traffic will use the other two lanes if the need to stack lorries becomes a reality.

Great Site!

This was our first time at this site and what a gem! We stayed for 4 nights on a service pitch to look around the local area. Its open and has large pitches plus of course the rabbits. Also a very nice dog walk. The staff were friendly and a great location for Dover where we spent a lovely day walking along the cliffs. It was quiet and cold in early April but had a really good feeling about this site and would go again when visiting the area or for the ferry crossing.

Great Stopover for tunnel or local visits to Canterbury

We used this site to and from the Eurotunnel. Its very well managed and spotless in the services department. Seeing the Rabbits running round was nice and we visited Canterbury using the public bus right outside the site. A very nice Site indeed.
