Great welcome....

We stayed here under difficult family circumstances (bereavement) and the wardens could not have been more helpful, nothing was too much trouble and we felt really welcomed. Pitches are well spaced and of good size, we were limited on time but enjoyed a great walk from the site through the local countryside and it is evident there are many others easy to reach. If you need a site close to London that is peaceful, convenient well run then you could do no better. Thanks to everyone involved in running the site and for such a great welcome.

A week with friends in March

We arrived to a very friendly welcome from the Warden who told us where our friends were pitched so that we could use the neighbouring pitch. All the wardens were helpful and friendly. The old toilet block was clean and serviceable with plenty of hot water for the showers. The second toilet block was being refurbished and the workmen on site were not an issue. Once both blocks are finished the facilities will be first class. The setting is very rural considering how close you are to the A23/M25 and there was only slight road noise that did not detract from our stay. The pitches are well laid out with ample room between them so you do not feel crowded. Lovely walks for our dog starting right outside the site entrance with other lovely areas on the North Downs only a few miles away. The children's play areas were very popular when our granddaughter came for a visit. This is a site that we will certainly come back to. Thank you for a lovely break.

The best Welcome ever.

When we called to book the wardens were simply amazing never before have we been so welcomed anywhere, after putting the phone down we couldn't wait to get there because of the initial welcome. On arrival it was the same this made our holiday so much better to start and has made us definitely want to return. All in all it all went better and better we will be back. Thank you for being the best hosts ever,

Weekend In March

We selected this site as it is close to relatives which we planed to visit. It is the first club site we have visited as we are new to caravanning and the club, previously campers, we have visited many varied sites. Directions to the site and the description on the web site were accurate and informative. The booking process very easy. We contacted the site prior to arrival to check we would be ok arriving at about seven PM. The warden was very helpful and polite. Upon arrival the warden was again very helpful and polite, going through a choice of pitches with us. He also took the time to explain about the building works to upgrade the toilets. We went to our pitch which was easy to find and park on. The site was very peaceful and the shower block although old was very clean. The next day we took a stroll around the site and were impressed how clean and tidy it is. There are a few older vans on seasonal pitches which really could do with a good clean up but it is only a few. The children's playgrounds looked good and there were some children enjoying them. We will defiantly return to this site as easy to get to and centrally located. If all the club sites are as good as this one our membership will be worth every penny. Many thanks to the club and the wardens.

Pleasant stay

We have just returned from a short break on this site (March 2017) Very peaceful, relaxing site at this time of the year, even with the builders onsite Our only comment would be that the caravans on the seasonal pitches make the place seem a bit scruffy We went on a couple of lovely walks from the site - perfect for campers with dogs ! Overall , when the new toilet block is up and running , the old one freshened up , and the seasonal pitches removed , the site will be perfect

winter break

visited for the first time in March. Very impressed with the site, nice location views will be wonderful once the mist clears (not the clubs fault) families will enjoy the location, hope to return in spring to see the flowers and wild life.

Great Site

The Welcome on arrival could have been better, the lady who booked us in was short and matter of fact almost but not quite to the point of being rude, a smile wouldn't have hurt either. Stayed in Feb/March 2017 That said a lovely Quiet location at this time of year, grounds even with the builders around are well kept, such a shame about the greeting. I will however be back..

Human pooh in men's SHOWERS

Stayed here off and on from August 2016 until March 2017 during travelling south west of England and house purchase. Any site is only as good as the wardens and we have seen them come and go here, new wardens Karen and Dave going to Brighton are a credit to the club they had pride in their job and their cleaning was first class. The facilities here are now often not very clean, on one occasion I personally watched the current wardens clean the ladies showers (4) in less than three minutes and no gloves.... Really. My husband complained about human excrement in the men's shower cubicle and was met With "this happens regularly" after a quick hose down they were open again. My husband contracted athletes foot followed by cellulitius. There is no dog walk on site but some fabulous places to walk are found locally on farthing downs and Kenley Aerodrome. The site itself is very pretty and in a nice setting. You can walk to the village shop across the field or use the car for the local tesco store. Sadly this site is let down considerable by some of the unsavoury characters that stay here. Also some of the wardens who clearly do not enjoy their job. The speed limit is 5mph on site but this too is often not followed and neither is the one way system. Toilet training, flushing and leaving as you would like to find it is much needed... Such a shame for what could and should be a fantastic site.

Great Site - shame about the mouldy caravans

Stayed here for 1 night this weekend, overall thought it was a great site. However out of all the pitches with vans on most (70-80%) were seasonal pitches with old slimy green caravans and MH's parked on them giving the site a rather run down look. The MSP was one of the best we have come across having recently been upgraded. The toilet block is in dire need of renovation which is currently happening on the lower block so I guess the upper block will be completed afterwards which will make this a great site. Lots of wildlife and very quiet considering its within the M25, no noise at all except birds tweeting in the trees which there are a large number of. Great play areas if you have kids even a football pitch. We will visit again, hopefully the caravans may have been washed by then....
