Even Better!

We managed 10 nights this year staying on this beautiful site, and Brian has made things even better by installing water and grey water disposal on each pitch! Not only this, but has even provided both the plastic push-on fitting for the tap, and also the brass fitting for use with a jubilee clip- this is certainly going the extra mile, and something we have never encountered on pitches costing more than twice as much! I'm forever leaving the tap fitting on the tap when leaving, so it was most welcome to see these for our use. Having a extra few days we made use of our bikes around the pretty quiet country roads surrounding the site, and on the national cycle route that passes the site. As the pitches are slightly elevated, the view across to the Wrekin is stunning, especially in the morning sunrise. Brilliant site.

Peaceful ,pretty and fabulous view.

Brian meet us on arrival and gave us a folder with all sorts of information about the surrounding area which was most useful. he was often to be seen filling up the many bird feeders and would stop for a chat .The grass was cut nice and short and there were flowers everywhere in various containers. The site is so peaceful listen out for the owl each evening, the view over to the Wrekin is lovely ,and its well worth the effort to go up it and get the view from the top. we were able to pick out the caravan site with the aid of binoculars. We will certainly be returning next time we are in the area.

Wrekin wonderful!

We stayed here at the end of July for 3 nights. Brian was there to greet us and gave us a very handy folder full of local information on where to go and what to do. The hard standing pitches are fully serviced and as they are not entirely level you will find a plentiful supply of wooden blocks for your use. The site is kept neat and tidy. The shrubs and lawn are well maintained. The cesspit needs a funnel so that you are not in danger of being splashed each time you use it or taken aback when the lid is removed. This is only a minor problem and in no way spoilt our stay, infact, this site is just perfect for a quiet and relaxing stay. The owners are super friendly and the surrounding scenery is therapy itself- beautiful! We will be back 😊

Such friendly owners and a beautiful site

Stayed here recently for six nights. Fantastic views of the Wrekin. All places of interest are within easy reach from here. Brian and Josie made us feel right at home on our first visit here, needless to say we will return... David and Carol Tipper

A lovely, quiet and well kept C.L!

We recently spent three nights at this absolute gem of a CL near Shrewsbury and received a very warm and friendly welcome from Brian and Josie Smith. We found the CL to be very quiet and peaceful with a good view of the Wrekin, not to mention the surrounding fields. It also has fully serviced pitches! Brian also supplied us with a well stocked information folder which had all the local attractions, supermarket locations, doctors surgeries, hospitals and a comprehensive guide to the local pubs that offered a range of ales and good food! We swould not hesitate to recommend Brian & Josie's 'Wrekin View' to any of our caravanning friends and we look forward to returning in the future! Chris & Shirley Cope. Cannock, Staffs.

A quiet corner of England

An excellent CL with stunning views of spectacular English countryside. Brian has created the perfect CL. All the facilities you'd want at each pitch with added peace and quiet, but close enough to an assortment of local places of interest. He even provides an information book with extensive details on the local area attractions. I'd recommend this CL to anyone, we'll definitely be back.

Tranquil and friendly

Fantastic site that we have visited often. Now with water supplies and grey water drainage to each pitch. Surrounded by fields and close to the Hare and Hounds Pub in Withington who do meals on Friday night and Sunday lunchtime. Two other pubs, The Haughmond in Upton Magna and the Corbett Arms in Uffington plus others in the surrounding area mean you are never far from a good meal. A short drive away are Shrewsbury and Telford with shopping and entertainment. Ironbridge and Wroxeter are close by. Only a short drive to Church Stretton and the lovely Shropshire countryside around the Stiperstones. We are always well looked after by Brian and Josie who should be proud of their site. We have been coming here since 2015 when the site opened and we love the peace and quiet and the craic in the village pub. Very welcoming. Would recommend a stay

An excellent site.

This is a beautiful site. It is set between two fields on the outskirts of Withington village on the outskirts of Shrewsbury. It is a short walk to the nearest pub in Withington and it is only 4 miles from Shrewsbury town centre. There are five pitches which are serviced with water and electric. 2 pitches are hard standing. All have views of the surrounding countryside. The site is split by some beautiful planters. The grass on and around the pitches is cut like a lawn.

What a location and loved site

We were warmly welcomed to the site last week by Brian and told about the site and set up. The site was extremely well kept and so peaceful with easy access to a number of good venues. The owner spoke to us every day making sure we were all ok and was interested in what venues we visited. This was our first visit to Shropshire and certainly we will be back to the area and this site.

Best CL site I have ever been to.

My wife and I have been visiting this site since it opened and we have made it our second home. Brian and Josie work really hard to keep the site up to date and keep the grass cut short. They update the facilities on a regular basis and make the site more comfortable. This year they have installed water and drainage for every pitch. The local pub is fantastic with its excellent range of cask beers and the Sunday lunch and Friday a la carte menu are very reasonably priced and great value for money. The place’s to visit locally are endless and varied. The weather in June 2019 was atrocious with heavy rain but it did not spoil our stay as the site is very well drained and we did not have one bit of wet mud. The only thing I can’t understand is why this site has not been given the accolade of CL of the year, it certainly deserves it.
