A Hidden Gem

This is a real find!  The owners, Brian and Josie, are so friendly and couldn't be more helpful, (thank you for the eggs, and home grown veg!) The site enjoys splendid views of the Wrekin, and if you crave peace and tranquility this is the site for you!  The dog walk is about a 3 second walk from the gate, what could be better.  The real ale pub is a few minutes walk away, and a small village shop serves local produce a mile or so away in Upton Magna.   It is set in a beautiful location and within easy reach of many places of interest, Attingham Park, Ironbridge, Church Stretton, Clee Hill, Ludlow, and much more.  We hope to return in the very near future.

A delightful find

This is a lovely, peaceful friendly site which we were fortunate to discover a few weeks after it opened. The view is indeed splendid, and the owners could not have been more friendly and helpful. The site is close to a quiet village, along sleepy lanes, but close enough to main routes to enable easy access. I highly recommend the village pub for character, real ales, and the fact that it is five minutes walk from the site. Note that the excellent value and quality food is only available on Friday nights and Sundays. There are fields to walk your dog in straight from the site. Special for us was the fact that the site is on the cycle route 81. You can pedal off the site and be in Shrewsbury in an hour or so, or go in the opposite direction to Telford.  We will definitely visit again.

Happy to be there

We have just spent 4 nights over the bank holiday weekend. What a great find I'm sure this CL will become very popular. Excellently located for exploring Shropshire. The owner could not be anymore helpful. Lovely eggs :)

Peace and Quiet

Well set out CL with easy access from the main roads. Close to many places of interest and lovely countryside between Shrewsbury and Telford. Tranquil site among farm-fields with lovely views. Very friendly welcome. Ideal as a base for touring the area and just 10 minutes walk from the local pub. We will be back.

Review from Bowman Shaw circle.

What a lovely find. New site- just opened but know its going to become popular. Brian and Josie made us feel really welcome - almost part of the family. Beautiful views. Lovely and quiet with such a variety of places to visit within easy reach. Cant recommend it highly enough.

Perfect

This is what a certified location is definitely all about with a warm welcome from the owners Brian and Josie.  It has the usual facilities - electric hook-ups, drinking water and chemical toilet/grey water disposal points.  Peace is guaranteed with amazing views of the Wrekin.  Wenlock Edge, the Long Mynd and the Brown Clee Hill are amongst other landmarks which can also be seen from the site. The pitches are on grass but it’s well drained.  Dog owners will be pleased with the ability to exercise their pets in the vicinity and, being virtually midway between Shrewsbury and Wellington, it’s a great location for exploring this part of Shropshire.  We’ve already booked our next visit!

Cracking little site

The approach to the site is good if you follow the guide directions with a decent width single track road to the entrance. Brian the owner was there with a warm welcome when I arrived and he showed me where the water and elsan were located. All the pitches of the site have a great uninterrupted view of the Wrekin. As there were no other visitors I had the pick of the pitches. I chose one of the flatter areas at the top of the site. There is a lovely local pub a five minute walk from the site which was friendly welcoming. There are plenty of local attractions to get out and about to look at with Shrewsbury only 10 minutes’ drive away. This is a site that will become a regular for people that visit it I think, me included.
