Brambles a Lovely Peaceful Retreat

Upon arrival on to this beautiful spot, we were met by Sue who followed us down to our pitch and made us feel very welcome. We stayed on pitch 4, a large hard standing area with plenty of space for awning and even in the late August evening could put our table and chairs in front of our Motorhome to catch the last few hours of the sun, and still have relative privacy from the pitches either side. You have three small dustbins on your pitch for the various re cycling elements which is a nice touch. There are two toilets and two showers located in a small hut close to the pitches. They were exceptionally clean and the water was hot and good pressure. There are a couple of lily ponds surrounded by a mown dog walking area and immediately out of the site, you can walk for miles down the country lanes. It is only a fifteen minute walk into Newborough. It was so peaceful at night and being adult only was the break we were looking forward to. Only hearing the birds in the morning! Eric and Sue were always happy to chat and they have built a beautiful home and developed a real gem of a CL. The Anglesey Transport and Agriculture Museum is literally next door to the site and has a great cafe serving breakfasts, sandwiches and delicious cakes. All in all, Brambles is a real credit to its owners and affords you a serene and peaceful place to just unwind and enjoy the countryside.

Nice CL Site

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights and found it to be a lovely site. It is quite close to the beach and the National Forest. We would definitely return as it suited our needs. We especially liked the hedges between pitches which made for privacy on most of the pitches. Cannot comment on the shower/toilet as we did not use them. The little dog walk area was a delight with the lily pond, very close to the pitches. We also thought the small bins on each individual pitch was an added bonus rather than going to the main bins.

Gem of a site!

This is the second time we have been to Brambles this year. If you are looking for a peaceful relaxing site then this is it! Both Eric and Sue are lovely and not intrusive but if you have a problem/question or need information they are more than happy to be of help. Spacious pitches. Showers and toilets are clean. Water/grey waste and bins all next to each pitch. EHU. What more could you want?

Lovely Site

Only booked in for 1 night as not much available in August, lovely site, very impressed with pitch size etc, and showers. Will definitely try to get a few days here when quieter

Lovely site!

We had a lovely stop over at Brambles site. Very peaceful and private. Pitches were really spacious, with hedging. Toilet and shower were very clean. We loved the Lily ponds and spotted rabbits around it at dusk. Owner Eric was friendly and informative. Would definitely recommend this site.

12 nights at Brambles

Beautiful peaceful CL, friendly, welcoming owners. As dog owners we had several lovely walks on Newborough Warren, less than 5 minutes in the car from site. The surrounding lanes were quiet enough for first thing in the morning and last thing at night walks. Facilities were always clean. Motor Museum 2 minutes walk away was definitely worthy of a visit. So much to do on Anglesey, we will definitely be back. Thanks to Eric & Sue for a lovely stay on their fab CL.

Great CL in a great location

I have just spent 10 days at Brambles and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the site. I am just about to book again for next year. The facilities on site are very good, with spacious pitches and all amenities to hand, including, water, waste and your own bins. The toilet facilities were spotless and cleaned every day. There is a good dog walk on site too. The owners were very helpful and on hand if needed. There is plenty to do in the local area and the local beaches are stunning.

Lovely and relaxing CL

Just spent 5 nights here and only wish it could have been longer..it was perfect for us and even though all 5 pitches were occupied it remained peaceful.. there are no views to speak of but that doesn't detract from the site as the grounds around the lily ponds and the shrubs, trees and flowers make this picturesque enough.. It's easy to find thanks to the information you receive from Eric and is close to Newborough for walks and beaches.. Electricity is paid separately which we liked as you only pay for what you use. Our bill was £8.50, didn't need heating but used outdoor electric bbq and water heater. Amenities were spotless and will be better once additional shower & toilet are added. We definitely plan on returning for a longer stay .

An excellent well thought out and well kept site

We just spent 4 nights here and thought it very good with friendly helpful owners. The fully serviced pitches are well screened by shrubbery and there are pleasant mown walkways through the bushes and planted trees around 3 small ponds. Our cat also approved the plentiful grass, thickets and wildlife (but caught nothing). There is a well equipped shower/toilet facility. The village and nearest bus service is about 3/4 mile away, buses are reasonably frequent towards Bangor and Llangefni. Beach was a bit too far for us to walk, nearly 3 miles but the forest is very pleasant. Beware trying to use local paths over fields, we ran foul of 2 which had been closed off for some time. Would love to return.

10 nights at this beautiful CL

We stayed at the Brambles CL for 10 nights in June and loved it. The owners even widened the pitch to better fit our large awning. All the pitches are fully serviced and the toilet block is kept spotless. It is a little gem of a CL and although we had to pay for the electric it was only about £4 a night ( the weather was very good so no heating) I would highly recommend this site to anybody thinking of staying on Anglsea.
