Superb Fully Serviced Site

Great site in a lovely location. The fully serviced pitches are perfect and make motorhome and caravan stays much more pleasurable. The toilet and shower facilities are immaculate and a credit to the friendly and caring owners. Newborough Forest is only a short distance away its beach and excellent forest walks and there is a local shop.

A great tranquil site

We spent 4 nights at Brambles and the welcome we received was superb. This is a very well thought out site with excellent enhanced pitches, perfectly clean and first rate shower/toilet area and well placed for access to the beach and beyond. We enjoyed our stay at Brambles despite Storm Kathleen doing her best to upset our plans! The owners of Brambles go way beyond the norm to make your stay a good one. Thoroughly recommended by us. 7.4m Motorhome was no problem to gain access and pitch easily. 5* stay - thank you!!

Difficult to fault!

Just had a couple of nights here over Easter, site is clean tidy, well laid out with a good amount of privacy. Fully serviced so no issues. Owner polite and helpful. Plenty of nearby walks down through Newborough Forest and down to the beach. All in definite recommend and we'll be back!

Jiffy the motothome

Just got back home from a very relaxing holiday at this wonderful site. Lovely welcome from the owner and his dogs. Very easy to find with the instructions supplied. Short walk into the village, which continued on through a wood to the beach. All the beaches on the island are fabulous and easy to get to from car parks near by. A bus service does run outside the site which we would normally have used, but as it was so quiet we used the car parks and drove everywhere instead. Make sure that you have plenty of change or a phone with internet as almost all the car parks charge. There is a retail park on the outskirts of Holyhead, which was easy to park in and some supermarkets in Llangnefi, but most of the villages we drove through had either a Spar or Premier. The husband visited the Motor museum nextdoor, and was in his element when he came back with loads of photos! We were there for nine nights, but could have spent much more time there as there is so much to see and do. The history of the island is so interesting, visiting the memorials was a joy. Make sure you pack your walking boots or wellies as there are loads of public pathways through fields; maybe take a OS map as they don't tell you where the paths go! Second time on the island, but it will have to be visited again. Loved every minute.

March 24 - Perfect Quiet Break Away

Our 6 night stay was just what we needed. The site is easy to find and well located to explore Anglesey and North Wales. Pitches are well serviced with everything you need and the toilet and shower is close by. Lovely and clean site, fabulous friendly owners. We will definitely be back.

Superb Site!

Best CL we have stayed on. Easy access with spacious fully serviced pitches, excellent clean and well kept toilet and shower facilities. Motor museum close by provides mouthwatering food and cakes. Within close proximity is Newborough beach and forest well worth a visit and in the village a well stocked mini market for provisions. The owners go out of their way to provide a base for a wonderful stay without being intrusive. Now our go to site on Anglesey

Lovely peaceful spot

Easy to find from clear instructions e mailed to us by owners. Spacious fully serviced gravel hard standing pretty level pitches, electricity metered but only cost us an extra £18.00 for three nights & with the price of utilities reasonable ioho. Sheltered, lovely planting, wildlife ponds, no direct views from site but surrounded by beautiful vistas.Facilites spotless & work going on to further improve. Easy to cycle along quiet road approx. 0.5 mile to traffic free cycle path in Newborough thru red sqirrel forest which then connects to national cycle routes & local nature reserve/RSPB. Local shop well stocked & pub in village. Definitely will revisit.

Feb 24 - lovely stay

The site is peaceful and very well laid-out with lily ponds, individual taps and bins on each pitch (with hook-up) surrounded by trees and hedgerows - we awoke to blue-tits peering in through the back window of the van. The directions and booking details were all excellent and the shower block was heated and spotlessly clean; wifi is also available. Eric was very helpful and welcoming and gave us some good tips for exploring the paths and woods at nearby Newborough Warren. We only stayed for one night - but will definitely return - Thank you for a lovely stay.

A wild and wet New Year

My partner and I stayed on this site over new year 23/24 that turned out to be a week of storms high winds and torrential rain. Eric and Sue made us feel welcome and we had a lovely, if wet stay. The facilities were good and the hedge cover kept some of the wind away from the awning which survived the week just about intact. If you are visiting the area then this is a great place to start and we chose it for its proximity to one of my partners favourite walking areas.

Excellent Example of a CAMC CL Site

We love Anglesey and were looking for a good base, we booked to stay at Brambles after reading the excellent reviews on the CAMC website, we stayed 5 nights and loved every minute, despite the efforts of the British weather to spoil the fun, the pitches are well spaced out with plenty of room for cars awnings etc and sheltered on 3 sides by hedging; offering privacy and shelter from the ubiquitous weather. Each pitch has conveniently placed EHU, grey waste, 2 x freshwater taps and waste and recycling bins, the black (toilet) waste CEP is close by without intruding on the pitch area (make sure you take a torch for emptying Cassettes at night as there is no light), the site is very much back to nature with ponds and paths available to explore, despite there being a main road 50 yds away there was absolutely no traffic noise, the only noise to be heard at night was the wildlife going about their everyday lives, Owls chatting away and foxes crying were among the delights to listen out for, the owners are very friendly and helpful and always on hand if you need anything, NB the very reasonably priced pitch fees do not include the cost of electricity, meter readings are taken on arrival and leaving and you can put cash in the envelope supplied or by BACS transfer within 7 days, we stayed 5 nights and the electricity usage only cost £13.28, access to the site from the main A55 is straightforward, the owners give guidance on 2 approaches, 1 from A55 junction 7 approx 5 miles from site, this access is relatively straightforward with a few narrow places (albeit 2 vehicles can pass but a little tight in places) and a 90L/90R turn over a narrow single lane bridge, none of which will present a challenge for experienced towers, and the other from junction 5, which is considerably further (approx 10 miles or so) but is an easy drive which would present no issues even for inexperienced towers. we look forward to visiting Brambles again.
