Always a pleasure staying here.

We stayed for 2 nights this weekend - the first cold snap of the year - Not a problem thanks to the ehu. This was our third visit this year and it is always a pleasure staying here. Everything you need is on your pitch. The site is so peaceful and the facilities are spotless. The hosts are lovely and helpful. A short drive takes you to Newborough beach which has everything you could ever want from a beach! Woods, sand dunes, views of snowdonia, miles of clean sandy beach - and its never busy . Will definitely be back.

Adequate CL site.

Good CL site, very clean facilities and helpful owners. Not much in the way of a dog walking area only a very short walk around the ponds. Newborough beach and woods is the nearest dog walk. Llangefni has a good selections of supermarkets which is about half an hour from the site. Decent Chippy in Newborough.

Only stayed 1 night but great

The briefest of stops but so impressed. Beautifully quiet, excellent facilities. Handy for Newborough but never made it to the village due to the weather. It rained very heavily all evening and night, so much so that the local roads were flooded, but the hardstandings remained perfectly dry the following morning. Very pleasant welcome from Sue. Hope to try again when the sun is shining

Our favourite CL

We love this cl. It is perfect for us. Have been many times and always made welcome. Everything you need is on the pitch. Toilet and shower facilties kept very clean. Dog friendly . Easy to book, and you only pay for the electricity you use ,which is fair and in keeping with this natural environment.Thank you. Eric & Sue. Trish & Pam SHREWSBURY

Lovely Stay

This an excellent site for exploring Anglesey, it's also easy to get to as its not far from the A55, so would be a good stop over for the Irish Ferry. Each pitch is hard standing, we didn't put up an awning but, as usual with hard standing, rock pegs are needed. There's a fresh water tap on each pitch and waste water outlet, also recycling and waste bins which are emptied regularly. We received very good instructions via email of the directions to site and which pitch we were on, also recommendations of grocery shops, restaurants and cafes. Electricity is charged extra but this was not much for us even though we used our own shower and did have the heating on as it was a bit cold in the mornings. We therefore, did not use the showers or toilets but they looked very clean and tidy. One thing that was excellent for us was that the pitches are very sheltered as we experienced Storm Agnes, we've been in high winds before on exposed sites and it's not pleasant, we didn't feel the storm at all this time. Anglesey is a beautiful Island and, even though we've been many times before and the weather this time wasn't great, we found lots to do and really enjoyed our visit, we can definitely recommend the Transport Museum nextdoor, it's very interesting. We will definitely be back to this site as it ticks lots of boxes for us.

Quiet well kept site

A very well kept, peaceful site. Nicely laid out with plenty of space between pitches. A lot of thought has been given to the layout of the site with some lovely pond areas and possibly the largest floating white lillies I think I've ever seen! We would normally choose a site with views but the peace and quiet here more than made up for the lack of a view. A fully serviced pitch and our own recycling bins made it a very easy, comfortable stay, no filling aquarolls, emptying waste and searching for bins. There are 2 showers and WC's, an added bonus and both were clean. Electricity is extra to the cost of the pitch which is fair and therefore only pay for what is used. Meters are read as you arrive and again before you leave. We paid £11.50 for the electric for the whole week which is very reasonable. The site is in a good location to get around the island, there is some beautiful coastline turquoise sea, golden sandy beaches and pretty villages. There are some great places to eat out. There are several large supermarkets all within easy reach of the site. Overall a very enjoyable week on the Isle of Angelsey.

A great CL

This is a well maintained site in a lovely part of the island, and the full servicing of the pitch is a very welcome feature, as is the hard standings and pitch layout. With helpful owners we were well satisfied.

Perfect

Lovely cl site which is in a great location for touring round the island and the mainland Easy to find with detailed directions sent out by the owner which were a great help. The site is very peaceful and quiet and everyone was friendly. Toilet and shower was a bonus and kept clean. Nice little cafe over the road on the Transport museum site which was worth the visit. The owners take great pride in their site and it shows Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting that area

A gem of a site

There are no far-reaching views from this site (which is what we normally go for) but the utter peace and tranquility of the place more than make up for that (absolutely no traffic noise apart from the occasional passing tractor). The hardstanding pitches are spacious and private, being thickly screened from neighbouring pitches with small trees (we hung bird feeders on ours and had lots of visitors). My only slight niggle was that our pitch (4) wasn’t very sunny compared to the others, but as the weather was in the high 20s we didn’t mind at all! Each pitch has EHU, 2 water taps, a waste water drain-away and even its own set of neatly labelled bins. Wow! The shower and loo were lovely and the site as a whole was very tidy. There are some lovely ponds to stroll around with neatly mown paths between them. Eric gave us a warm welcome and some good tips on where to go to see choughs and red squirrels (both seen in abundance - thank you Eric!). The stunning Newborough Forest and beach are just a short drive away. We took Eric’s advice and went in the evening and almost had the place to ourselves! There is a transport museum with cafe opposite the site but we didn’t have time to visit - maybe next time. We would definitely return to this site - we loved it. There is a reason why it gets booked up so quickly, so make sure you book well ahead to avoid disappointment!

Excellent! A gem!

Easy to find as we were provided with excellent directions A friendly welcome from the owner to a quiet, private place to park up..i don’t remember hearing anyone or any traffic all night. Each pitch has hedging on 3 sides, (and sloes) so when you park the van ensures privacy behind it, and a living area where you have your own set of bins The shower and toilet block is well kept, and has good triton type showers with good flow of hot water and heaters. Good surface Near a good beach and good walks Alone and quiet but with almost instant response to any questions …prices transparent and fair….. and the owners shared their plans to improve it even more. Fabulous gem ! I’d be back like a shot
