5* CL in every way

We stayed on this exceptional CL at the same time as the previous reviewers & can only reiterate their comments. The hospitality we received was second to none & the facilities were 1st rate in every way. We would highly recommend Poole Farm & look forward to a return visit. Barbara B

Simply perfect!

We have just returned home after spending a wonderful 2 weeks at Poole Farm CL and can honestly say it’s the best site we have ever stayed on. Greg, Louise and Harvey are a lovely family, and the most genuine people you could meet. They are great hosts and go the extra mile to make you feel welcome, so much so that it felt more like staying with friends. The site is beautifully laid out with spotless facilities, with a shower cubicle that wouldn’t look out of place in your own home. The site is very quiet with absolutely no light pollution, and I have to say we haven’t slept so well for years. The surrounding countryside is absolutely gorgeous and the walks are great, although be warned there are a few arduous uphill stretches, but well worth the effort. P.S. Louise and Harvey make wonderful Carrot cake and Lemon cake and the Scones, Jam and Cream on arrival were a lovely and much appreciated addition ... simply delicious. There was even a doggy treat waiting for Oakly on our arrival. If only all Sites and CL’s were half as good. We can’t wait to revisit! They definately deserve to win ‘Best CL of 2017’ and will certainly be getting our vote. Thank you again Louise & Greg for your wonderful hospitality.

Best site and B&B far from just a CL

From the moment we arrived at both the B&B and the CL, ( we used both as mother in law came too ) Louise , Greg and Harvey's hospitality was second to none even providing tea and biscuits before we unhitched and a cream tea shortly after . While we were there chocolate cake , lemon cake , ice creams and frankly so many other things were generously given to us I lost count however more importantly it felt like being among friends . The B&B facilities , cleanliness and standard of breakfast provided wouldn't shame a five star hotel . The CL pitch sizes are generous and well maintained with a tap each and EHU . The " Hut " houses both a large shower with plenty of space and clean towels daily as well as a loo and sink etc all immaculately clean and warm . We were so pleased that before leaving we booked a return visit . Louise ,Greg and Harvey are a lovely friendly family and we look forward to seeing them again . Dave , Sam and Scooby (and Lady P)

Great just Great

Stayed over Christmas & this site definitely lives up to the reviews , Greg & Louise make you welcome from the get go. The cuppa on arrival was extremely welcoming, I could go on & on about this site but I would just be repeating the other reviews. We had to cut our break short due to a family illness so didn't get to fully explore the area so hopefully will be back to finish where we left off. Will be voting for this site for the CL of the year.

Fantastic site!!

Poole Farm is run by a friendly couple that make every effort to ensure that your stay is as perfect as possible! From the warm welcome and gratefully received cup of tea and biscuit on arrival, to the clean and warm toilet/shower room. What else can we say but a big thank you to Louise & Greg, it was lovely to meet you on our first stay this October whilst house hunting and we will definately be back to see you again! Many thanks Sue & Jim

Great place our CL of the decade.

We stayed in August for a few days  and now that the season is just about over it's this site that we remember the most from this year. Great hosts  fab place and wonderful site really cant be any better , its a long drive from Northumberland but we will be back, our CL of the decade not just year.

Home from Home

We stayed here for 7 nights at the end of August 2016 and enjoyed every minute. The site is tranquil and extremely well kept. Greg and Louise made us very welcome and are the perfect hosts. Facilities were second to none the shower and toilet facilities ("The Hut") were kept spotless with fresh towels daily. If you get the chance you must try one of Louise's delicious breakfasts in the B&B it will set you up for the day. The dog run is safe and secure and offers an excellent view whilst relaxing in the swing chair. The welcoming cup of tea and kit Kat was a life saver thanks Greg for that and the cream tea and chocolate cake were delicious thanks Louise you are a star baker. The lane to the site is narrow but we had no problems either arriving or leaving but recommend you follow the directions supplied. Overall easily the best CL site we have visited.

A Great Experience

We stayed for four nights in August and had the most relaxing time. The pitches are hard standing and with their own EHU and water and we were fortunate to get pitch 4 which was at the end of the site - very tranquil. The wifi is excellent and the shower and loo spotless and well presented. Access into the site is very good although the approach road is a narrow half mile - the site has an early check out of 11am to ease this situation and we were fine. The hosts Greg and Louise really understand the hospitality industry and their friendly and helpful service was the icing on the cake. We will return. Also, our friend stayed in the on site B&B for a couple of nights while we were there and declared it superb.

Not to be Missed

I can only add to the excellent reviews of this site, customer satisfaction and being valued is the number one priority. Louise, Greg and Harvey make you feel welcome at all times and go over and above ones expectations. The local wildlife gives the lucky viewer glimpses of Kingfishers and Otters. A site to be remembered, revisited and not forgotten
