Quite simply the best CL My Wife and I have ever stayed on. So beautiful, Brian and Alison can't do enough for you. Each pitch has Electric, Water & Waste Water disposal. Great area for touring National Trust etc, Much Wenlock only a couple of miles away, most interesting. We stayed early June 2022
An absolute delight!
What a delightful little site, immaculately kept with manicured lawns, set in the rolling Shropshire countryside. The owners Brian & Alison are so welcoming & friendly, providing lots of tourist info & walking maps including a great circular walk from the site, kindly Whatsapp’d to our phone by Brian. There were homemade jams & chutneys for sale as well as plants, so I came home with 4 very healthy looking tomato plants.
The bird feeders in the centre of the lawn attracted so many wild birds, take binoculars & download the bird identification app, we were amazed how many we saw & heard including a tawny owl. We appreciated the fully serviced pitches & individual bins for both rubbish & recycling. Another plus for us was the metered electricity, we took our solar panel, had a very comfortable stay & it still cost us less than £2 a night for power. Can’t wait to go back!
One of THE BEST
We have just spent 7 totally chillaxed nights at this wonderful site. An absolute treasure with super hosts.
So well kept and Sooo peaceful.
We will definitely return. Wish it was nearer !!
What can I say that hasn’t already been said.
Perfectly manicured quite site. Fully serviced pitches and individual waste bins a bonus. Just spent three enjoyable nights here and would certainly return here again. Brian and Alison are passionate about their site and their welcome is genuine. Certainly a candidate for CMHC’s CL of the year.
Immaculate site
Just left from a 7 night stay at Firs Cottage CL. Brian and Alison take great pride in their site and it is immaculate. They provide chocks and waste water hoses for your stay, plus tap and bins on each pitch. You can also buy home made jams and pickles, books and DVDs. We are with 3 and had no signal on site but our friends were on EE for wi fi and O2 mobiles and had no problems. Electric is metered and charged separately- ours worked out £33 and friends with a slightly bigger van £46. Brian and Alison reduced their pitch fee to £18 this year.
The site is well situated for numerous National Trust and English Heritage places, great scenery and places to walk as well as Severn Valley Railway where we attended their Spring Steam Gala.

A Great Way to Welcome the New Year......
We stayed at Firs Cottage over the New Year, the site is beautifully keep and has benefitted from constant investment over many years.Brian and Alison were on hand to welcome us and pointed out C.P which is tastefully hidden behind a 2metre hedge, each pitch has EHU which is metered and the meter is visible so you can monitor your usage, a fresh water tap and a wooden bin with a top lid which contains a recycle bin and general rubbish bin.
A information board provides all the local information you could require, we're interested in walking and both Brian and Alison have a list of walks available (some direct from the site) including Wenlock Edge a 15 mile walk! Within traveling distance there are National trust properties including one with a Deer Park and Pubs, restaurants and in Much Wenlock a fabulous butcher's, pie shop and many cafe's and independent shops.
Firs Cottage is a real find, peaceful surrounded by farm land but within travel distance of many local places of interest, we have already booked our next visit and so looking forward to it...........................
Beautiful site and location
What a lovely CL and very friendly owners Brian and Alison - beautiful surroundings and so tranquil. The CL is immaculate and the location is great for exploring the Shropshire countryside - really nice walk into Much Wenlock (courtesy of a map provided by Brian), great for dogs as there are no stiles to tackle. Will aim to stay longer next time as there is more to explore.
All is well with the world.
Thank you to Brian and Alison for providing a place of beauty, a place that delivered tranquillity alongside the birdsong. Their attention to detail was second to none. Each pitch was laid out perfectly with careful planning. Recycle bins, water taps that were in keeping with the surrounding area and a well informed notice board. A site that we will return to next year with out a doubt. Enjoyed every minute.
Summer holiday
First visit to this CL but not to the general area as we have visited Shropshire often. Welcoming and helpful owners. The site is very well laid out, immaculately kept and very pretty. Enjoyed our stay and would be happy to visit again.

A Little Gem
Stayed here for three nights after reading wonderful reviews. We were certainly not disappointed from the minute we arrived to a warm and friendly welcome from Brian and Alison. The previous reviews say it all and we can only second everything they say. A lovely area to explore from here. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Anything you need just ask. We will return.
