Our second visit to this fabulous site

We have just returned from a 9 day stay at this wonderful site - our second visit in 9 months. Alison & Brian are the perfect hosts and their site is immaculate, peaceful and has wonderful countryside views. We had pitch 1 which is a lovely big pitch with plenty room for the car, caravan and awning. Electric is metered and it cost us £21 for our 9 day stay and that was running everything on electric and having the heating and hot water on every morning - so very reasonable. Much Wenlock is a fabulous village and we echo everything we said in our review in September. The quirky pub at the pottery is a hidden gem. The places we visited this time were David Austin Roses - a must for any keen gardener. The tearoom and shop are a treat. Stokesay Castle was definitely worth a visit and set in glorious rolling countryside - some of the best Shropshire views in my opinion. Weston Park was splendid with lovely parkland walks and great to see the deer. We travelled on the Severn Valley Steam Railway from Bridgenorth to Arley and walked up to the arboretum - a great Ploughman’s Lunch was had in the tearooms for £10 each - great value. We really loved our stay and will definitely be returning again as there are still so many places of interest to visit. Thank you for a fabulous holiday yet again.

Just beautiful

What can we say that hasn't already been said. Alison and Brian have created a perfect oasis of peace and tranquility with beautiful gardens to match . Fully serviced pitches are always a bonus, together with your own recycling bins. We have just returned home after a week's stay, spoilt only by the British weather. I guess we should be used to that by now. There was only one thing missing from our point of view, an electric gate.

Little Gem of a Site

Absolutely stunning site. The best we have seen so far. Brian and Alison are lovely, very friendly and you can see how passionate they are about their site. Immaculate. Each pitch has grey waste, water and electricity. Recycling and rubbish bins. Lovely to hear the birds singing in the trees, but overall very quiet too. Nice little walk off site for our little fur babies. Poo bags and bins provided. Thank you so much, cannot wait to revisit

Beautiful site.

This site is absolutely beautiful. Each pitch is fully serviced with our own rubbish and recycling bins. Nothing has been forgotten. There are a couple of garden tables with umbrellas and chairs on the lawn in the centre of the site, information on local walks and sites, even a dog waste bin with bags provided. Brian and Alison are really lovely and friendly, they really do go that extra mile to make sure your stay is perfect. I honestly can’t fault anything about the site. It is peaceful, relaxing and we were made really welcome. We will definitely be back. Five stars from us and many thanks for an amazing weeks holiday

Superb CL could not ask for any more.

What a cracking site, beautifully manicured pitches and gardens , on pitch waste / recycling and fully serviced, cant ask for any more . Great location for Ironbridge museums , lots to do in the area. Gaskell Arms in Much Wenlock is a short drive for evening meals and is very nice especially Sunday lunch. Perfect to relax as well as its very quiet.

Lovely CL

My husband and I have just returned home from seven nights at Firs Cottage and enjoyed every minute. We received a lovely warm welcome from Brian and Alison and had a choice of pitches. The site is every bit as immaculate as it looks in the photos. Obviously having a fully serviced pitch on a CL is a huge bonus and metered electricity seems to us the fairest way to operate. We'd actually used less than anticipated when we settled up which was good. It was our first visit to Shropshire and we loved the county. We walked to Much Wenlock, which is a lovely little town, we visited Attingham Park (a National Trust property), we went to Carding Mill Valley twice which was easily one of the most beautiful places we have ever visited, we loved Ironbridge and also walked part of Wenlock Edge and climbed Hope Bowdler Hill. Wish we'd had longer really, but then at least we have a reason to return! As mentioned, you do really need a car to explore the area but we had a wonderful holiday and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the site. Well done Brian and Alison.

Excellent CL

We had a great few days at Firs Cottage despite the typical British Spring weather ! Hosts Alison and Brian were most welcoming and a mine of useful local information which is supported by a great notice board detailing walks and local towns worth a visit. The pitches are spacious and well defined and the garden areas are an added bonus. All the pitches haves their own tap and electric and waste is drained into the hedge that runs around the site. The local area is great to explore and we enjoyed days and walks in Much Wenlock, Church Stretton, Ironbridge and Ludlow all of which offer plenty to see and do and some lovely cafes. We hope to be back again one day.

Wonderful peaceful gem.

We arrived in early afternoon, and it stayed dry whilst we pitched up. Greeted by Brian , very friendly, who gave us the relevant information. The site is laid out beautifully, nice wide pitches, with lovely views over the surrounding countryside. It is so peaceful, lovely birdsong is the only noise all around. We were able to walk our little dog out through the gate, and along the lane, which had no traffic to speak of. Very easy to get to Much Wenlock, which has a quaint little High Street. Bridgnorth is only 15 minutes away, with lots of cafes and interesting shops. We had the best fish and chips ever, chip shop just off the high street, would highly recommend. Brian and Alison are super nice people, made a fuss of our little dog, and we were lucky enough to meet their two dogs, who are very lovely. Can thoroughly recommend this perfect haven, if you want to get away from it all, and want peace and quiet, this is definitely the place to come. Hoping to return ourselves as soon as we can. Thankyou Brian and Alison
