A lovely CL

Our 1st vist to Firs Cottage and Mr & Mrs Rowe have created a wonderful CL. Pitches vary in size but are adequate and fully serviced, electric is metered. The CL has manicured grass areas with additional seating and flower beds etc. It's just a very very nice CL in a nice location.

Ideal site

Having looked at others’ reviews it is hard to come up with anything new. We agree with all their comments. Our two-week stay was enhanced by being able to sit overlooking a peaceful, pretty, extremely well loved garden tended by Brian Alison. We loved the extra touches: waste pipe, blocks for legs of caravan if needed and individual waste bins for general/recycling of waste. Our hosts were very welcoming and keen to impart local knowledge The site is in an ideal location for sightseeing as there is so much to do and see in the area and we very much hope to return.

A lovely site.

We have been to this site before and it does not disappoint. Alison and Brian are lovely and there to meet you on arrival. Since the last time we were there they have put a cabinet for your rubbish on every pitch which is lovely. Hopefully we will be able to go back as Much Wenlock is a lovely place and the surrounding area. Thank you for a lovely stay.

An absolute gem

What an absolute gem. The site is tucked away from the road and offers a tranquil setting with seating and shaded areas for birdwatching. Each pitch is fully serviced making our stay easy. Brian and Alison are attentive hosts. We will be back ..thank you

Peaceful and secluded

A beautiful CL with decent hardstanding serviced with water, waste and EHU. Slight slope but blocks are provided to each pitch. Manicured lawns with a central lawn towards which all 'vans face. A bit like your own beautiful garden without the work. Access is easy ( 7.5m 'van plus Discovery) but you are asked to manoeuvre with a motor mover, not sure what happens if you don't have one. No twin axles. Plenty to see and do in the area, Wenlock Abbey is close enough to cycle to and we spent a pleasant hour there before exploring the lanes and countryside on out bikes - it's hilly. Footpaths from the site and close by on Wenlock Edge and certainly for a weekend you don't need to use the car if you have bikes. The site is within easy reach of the Ironbridge Museums and that's a week on it's own! Highly recommend, friendly and attentive owners.

The perfect CL

Just returned from a wonderful week here. The moment you arrive and are welcomed onto the site by Brian, you realise you’ve arrived at what can only be described as the perfect, immaculately kept CL, nestling in a beautiful countryside location. Each individual pitch is separated by a low hedge and has hard standing large enough to accommodate your caravan and awning, your own manicured lawned area, metered electric hook up, water connection, rubbish and recycling bins and last but not least Brian lends everyone a very long pipe for grey water discharge. Clearly a great deal of thought and hard work has gone into the CL and being ex caravaners and now Motor-homers Alison and Brian have used their experiences to create this little gem. Our Red fox Labrador loved the walks from the site and Brian even sent a WhatsApp with a map marked with routes from the site. There’s plenty to see and do in the area, either enjoying visiting some of the many English Heritage sites or National Trust sites, walking in the beautiful countryside or visiting the many charming small towns and villages. In our opinion this is the best CL we’ve stayed at and look forward to returning for another stay. Thank you Janet, Dave and RosieRedCub

Little Gem 💎

What an absolute gorgeous hidden gem 💎 of a site. Nestled in a peaceful and neat as a pin cottage garden. You are greeted at the gate by Mr &Mrs Rowe, your hosts. They are friendly and helpful, nothing being too much trouble should you need any assistance. The pitches are large and extremely well maintained with a small grassed area for your personal use and all facilities on each pitch, even your own rubbish bins! This is our third time to this charming site and we most certainly will be returning time and again Michelle and Colin x

Excellent

Just returned home from a lovely relaxing week at this immaculately kept site with wonderfully kept and surrounding grounds, everything needed at each pitch including rubbish and recycling, water and a long grey waste water hose to use whilst there, even blocks for steadies. Plenty of things to do in local area, very historical sites and only short distance to petrol station/shop and much wenlock town. Will definitely be returning in the future.

Eye Opener!

This was the first CL we've used, what a wonderful surprise, from the initial sight on arriving, the warm welcome from Brian and then the excellent pitch we was led too. The sites was immaculate, manicured surroundings, with large hardstandings, and fully serviced, even to the point of a supplied flexible grey waste pipe and your own rubbish/recycling box.... The site is set in a secluded spot, with no discerning road noise, only to be awakened by bird song... Definitely a return visit for the future, I think with the increase of pitch fees on many sites, CL's of this quality is definitely the way to go.... Well done Alison and Brian, and thank you for a wonderful 6 days... Oh and Shropshire and the surrounding area has some wonderful places to visit.

What a Gem

Have just spent 2 nights on the way home from Bath. This is a wonderful site, immaculately kept, water, electric, waste and own refuse bins to each pitch all hard standing. A lovely welcome with just enough information given. There is great walking in the area, National Trust sites to visit and nice towns as well as Shrewsbury within striking distance. Will definitely be returning. Thank you
