Superb CL

I am no doubt repeating what every other review has said about Firs Cottage but it deserves all the praise it receives. The site is immaculate, every pitch is fully serviced and spacious. We have a Motorhome so choose not to move once we are on site, we walked approximately ten miles a day every day, Shropshire was at the back of the queue when the flat bits were given out ! , but the scenery is outstanding. Wenlock Edge is a great walk. Much Wenlock is a beautiful village with a number of lovely cafes, pubs and small independent shops. The electricity is metered on this site but that really isn’t a problem, we stayed for six nights and our bill was £29, so less than £5 a day and it was minus three overnight when we stayed. Overall I would thouroughly recommend this site, I booked it after reading the reviews and I wasn’t disappointed.

Super CL

We stayed on Firs Cottage CL at the weekend. What a super, clean tidy and well thought out site. It is a credit to Brian and Alison, wish all CL’s were like this. We look forward to our next visit.🤗

Lovely Site

We have just returned from a lovely, peaceful weekend at Firs Cottage. This is a very clean, well laid out site with water and electric (if required) at each pitch. There is good local information on a board and Brian is very welcoming. The cost is for pitching up with electric extra - if you decide not to use it, that's not a problem. There are a number of walks directly from the site and Brian lets you have an OS map with various ones marked on it. We would be happy to return to the site.

Firs Cottage simply the best!

Our holiday was perfect in every way. Super friendly owners Brian and Alison who greeted us on arrival and also took time out to say goodbye on our final day. The site itself is in a lovely quiet spot, off the main road a short way down a quiet country lane (good access). The spacious pitches overlook an immaculate manicured garden with seating areas for you to relax and enjoy. We made the most of this during the heat wave, taking advantage of the parasol for some welcomed shade. There were also plants, homemade jams and pickles for sale too, I couldn't resist and grabbed the odd plant or two! This was our first time to Shropshire, what a beautiful county, there is so much to see and do here. We visited interesting pretty towns of Much Wenlock, Church Stretton, Shrewsbury and Ludlow. Plenty of areas for walking too, such as the Wenlock Edge and Long Mynd. We also spent a couple of days chilling on the site, chatting to our lovely caravan neighbours. We'll be back again soon to continue discovering this beautiful area. Brian and Alison thank you for sharing with us.

Well we can only praise this fantastic CL ,we were greeted with a great friendly welcome from Brian who told us where everything was ,blocks ,ramps ,drainage pipe and even your own bins are provided on really well looked after service pitches .the CL is excellent and pristine with beautiful flowers and even chairs to sit out in .this has to be a contender for CL of the year .you pay your pitch fee ,then pay for the electricity you use which is a brilliant idea .Thanks for a cracking 11 nights ,Brian and Alison, we will be back 😀 😊

A real gem of a site

Thank you Alison and Brian for the welcome we had a wonderful 6 nights on you’re beautiful site. It exceeded all our expectations, it’s so peaceful, we had a lovely big pitch with shade late afternoon which was just perfect in the heat, it meant it was cool at night we slept like babies. We loved the seats table and brolly around the site, the bird station, the beautiful gardens (the photos don’t do it justice, now much more mature than when taken) The bin with waste and recycling on the pitch was an absolute treat and all for £18 a night plus electricity just perfect. I’m a bit reluctant to say too much in case we can’t get in another time! 😂 So much to do and see close by, we visited Much Wenlock just down the road there is a handy little Spar and a lovely butchers and pie shop, plus some lovely gift and clothes shops, there is also a museum and a church both worth a visit, we also visited Wenlock Priory it was great, very informative sometimes humorous head set telling us all about its history and dog friendly. Went to David Austin Rose Centre which was amazing, the rose gardens are out of this world if like us you love roses! Visited Shrewsbury but only for about an hour it was too much for our old pooch Bonnie. Nice walks for the dog to the left and right just outside the gate on site, poo bin and bags there too. This is at the top of our best and favourites sites to stay and we will definitely be back another time. 😀 Alison and Brian you are the most friendly and thoughtful owners, you obviously love what you do, you get our vote for top CL site with the Caravan and Motorhome Club. Kind regards Linda Bryan and Bonnie 🐶🐾

Absolutely Fantastic Site

We have just had a fantastic stay on this beautiful adults only, fully serviced CL. Lots of thought and attention to detail has gone in to making it a peaceful, beautiful and relaxing site. Little extras like bins on your own pitch, blocks and ramps provided if needed, help getting the van into place, seats around the site and lots more. Excellent value at £18 per night plus metered electric. Beautiful walks within the local area and lots of lovely places to visit. The owners were exceptionally friendly and helpful and we look forward to returning in the near future.
