Beautiful, spacious CL.

Alison and Brian have a beautiful CL which they obviously work hard keeping all the gardens in the site well manicured. The welcome and information was first class and all the pitches are level and pristine having there own water supply together with waste and recycling bins. A credit to them both. Only down side is that there are only two footpaths from the site a third one which leads onto a main footpath has been closed for the past 8yrs. The nearest access to this long distance footpath is now a mile down the busy main road with no footpaths. Alison and Brian are obviously active in the local community campaigning for new footpaths to be opened so hopefully things may change in the future. However thanks for a lovely 4 night stay. Paul and Eileen.

Peaceful CL

What an amazing CL!! We stayed here at the end of June, and were welcomed by Brian up arrival; he provided us with useful information about the site and locality - where to walk the dog etc. The site is very well presented and immaculate, and both Alison and Brian were busy around the site on the afternoon that we arrived. The site and facilities on each pitch have been designed and equipped with great thought, and its the little touches like individual bins on each pitch (general waste and recycling) which have been placed in a wooden casing, so as not to be an eyesore, that made it so special. There are many other little touches which we'll let you discover for yourselves! We only had 2 nights there in our motorhome, and were disappointed to have to leave. We walked into Much Wenlock along public paths, and spent a lovely few hours wandering and investigating the little town. The Deli is definitely worth a visit, and we're told that the butchers is outstanding, although as vegetarians, we can't vouch for that!! Thank you both for a lovely stay, we hope to see you again soon.

Best so far!

What a beautiful site ! Brain and Alison have done such an excellent job since taking over the property and site and it just ouzes quality throughout! Excellent hard standings for 5 motorhomes and I think 1 could even accomodate a small car at a push. Each slot had its own hook up and water supply and you could run your grey waste hose into the hedge at the back if you wanted. Also had pretty larch lap bins to each slot with general and recycling waste. The hook up was excellent and kept the van lovely and warm throughout our stay. We bought our fire pit and logs to use and got that going a couple of times and Brian even came over to say that we could use some of his extensive log store if we ran out! Its about a 2 mile walk into Much Wenlock but you have to risk walking on the very busy main road. The alternative is crossing the disused railway bridge and heading up hill and follow the walking trail that does have signposts if you look out for them. Cold crips days perfect site for stretching your legs with a flask of something hot. This site has just about everything you need for your stay and we, as I write, we have just booked for the end of March it is that good of a site !!!!!

A wonderful CL

We have just returned from an eight day holiday at Firs Cottage which is an immaculately maintained CL with very welcoming owners, Brian and Alison, who are very keen to do everything to ensure you enjoy your stay. As has been mentioned by other reviewers it is a real bonus to have water in addition to EHU at each pitch. The individual rubbish and recycling bins have been beautifully made to blend in with the surroundings. Some pitches do slope but the owners have very thoughtfully supplied wooden blocks should they be needed. This was our first visit to the area and we have been very impressed. Much Wenlock is famous for holding the first modern Olympiad and the museum/tourist information centre provide a very good service. Church Stretton is well worth visiting and a short distance away is the Ironbridge, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Excellent CL

This is an excellent CL. As you approach the site it is well signposted and as you enter through the gates you can see that the owners take great pride in their site as it is immaculate. Brian and Alison give you a very warm and friendly welcome and you can put your van on any available pitch, all of which have water and electric. A nice added touch, during the current pandemic, is the provision of bins to each pitch, which limits the need to use the communal bin. Each pitch has its own lovely piece of lawn as you step outside your van where you can sit and watch the many visiting birds. Brian and Alison are very knowledgeable about the area, which has some lovely places to visit if you want to leave the peace and quiet of the site. We have visited the site on numerous occasions and stayed on all the pitches and have never had an issue with a TV signal. Thank you for another lovely holiday and we will see you again next year.

Lovely little CL for a few days

Back from a lovely few days at Firs Cottage CL near Much Wenlock, Shropshire. A lovely clean, tidy, quiet site. All good sized, fully serviced pitches including ehu, water and waste bins so didn’t have to touch any shared service points. Lovely gardens, views and birds. We were here in our motorhome and only needed minimal levelling. We had to point the van into the hedge because its habitation door is behind the driver on the rhs to face our bit of lawn. Would rather have faced the garden area. Whilst we were there we had no tv signal on our omnidirectional arial! I suspect it was caused by the overhead electricity cables. Tv works perfectly now we're home. Despite having to leave early it was a lovely few days.

Lovely CL excellent site

My husband and I spent three very pleasant nights at this lovely CL. We were received with lots of information and with a very friendly manner by the owner Brian when we arrived. The site is extremely well presented and immaculately maintained. Very peaceful and no obtrusive street lighting to keep you awake at night. For us with two very energetic dogs the location was great. Good walking along bridleways and across fields to Much Wenlock, maybe 3 miles or so away. The views of the unspoilt countryside were a treat. Much Wenlock itself is a beautiful small town with some nice little cafes and shops. Surprisingly uncrowded even though this was August. Even the National Trust car park in the town, although small, would have had space for our Motorhome had we chosen to drive in rather than walk. A lovely stay. Highly recommended. Thank you.

First time visitors

Back today from a lovely week at Firs Cottage CL near Much Wenlock, Shropshire. An excellent site, very clean, tidy and safe, quiet and peaceful, owners Brian and Alison very helpful. We pulled on and they were both there ready to help and give information about the site, dog walk etc. All fully serviced pitches, we even had our own waste bins so didn’t have to touch any shared service points, lots of sanitisers around to use. There was even a produce stall with home made pickles jams etc to buy. Lovely area and places to visit or just chill out. We were with friends and had a lovely time and met some nice people. Brian and Alison both work very hard around the grounds and the gardens are beautiful. Highly recommended

Pristine and peaceful

We stayed here for the first time earlier this month, just before the restrictions came in. We had a warm welcome upon our arrival, advised the best pitch to shield us from the strong winds. We set up with a large hedge protecting us from the weather, but our view was a pristine garden which happens to have some caravans parked around it. There are birds feeders in the middle, so we saw a large number of different birds. Including spotted woodpecker. Pitches are well spaced at about double or more distance from each other. Each pitch is fully serviced so everyone using their own on board facilities. The site is on a no through country lane which leads onto a bridleway. We walked the dogs along the lane. At night the stars seemed so much brighter as there is not any light pollution, just beautiful. We will be booking ourselves in again once restrictions are lifted, so looking forward to returning.
