This is one of the best CL's I've visited. A few minutes walk to the interesting Hay-on-wye in Wales! A well kept spacious and relaxing place at a good price, wish we stayed longer. All grass, no toilets or showers or ehu, need levellers.
Lovely peaceful CL site
Lovely peaceful CL site, very close to the town.
Stayed for two nights.
Walked the Miles without stiles circular walk, which follows the river part way, with starting point across the road from site.
The town is great to explore and has a good selection of eateries and pubs.
Would recommend this site and will stay again if visiting the area again.
There is an area of the site where you can basically be on your own via a narrow bridge, ideal for campervans.
Thanks for a great place Lynda.
Peaceful spot
We stayed here for one rainy night last week. It was easy to book at the last minute and the site is very peaceful but only a short stroll from the centre of Hay on Wye.

Stayed last Sunday
I stayed there last Sunday for one night. What a lovely site it is, I needed peace and quiet and it was just what the doctor ordered. I enjoyed a stroll through Hay on Wye which is within walking distance and had a lovely chat with the lady owners father. I liked the way it is landscaped with the long grass decorating the field.
It's easy to find following the instructions given.
I will definitely come back hopefully for longer.
Quiet stay beautiful location
Booked for one night and ended up staying for two.
Easy to find and a very peaceful rural location within 5 mins of walking into Hay.
Met the owner Lynda who was lovely, very accommodating and knowegable about the local area.
We are self sufficient in our van, so didn't need hook up or shower facilities, so at £14 per ight it's definately good value for money with Elsan, water, bins on a very peaceful secure site. We will be back
Peace & tranquility!
What a lovely oasis this campsite is! Although it’s only 5 minutes walk into Hay, you feel as though you’re in the middle of the countryside. We had been made aware about the narrow entrance so were well prepared. We could choose our pitch from a huge field, which was beautifully mown. No EHU or showers/toilets but the price reflects that. There is a very comprehensive app which provides lots of useful information for your visit. We will return!
Little Gem
Wow fantastic site, limited facility's but park where you like on two fields.
Walking distance into Hay loads of shops, cafés and eating places.
Superb walks along the river.
Will definitely stay again.
A must is the Thursday morning market in Hay
A spacious gem of a site
The site is situated a short walk from the town and the river. There are easily accessible river walks and it is possible to swim apparently from an area called The Warren, although we didn't try on this occasion. We were due to stay 3 nights, but extended to 4. The entrance to the site is down a small lane and a bit tight, but we managed in our 7.5m motorhome without any problem. The fields are kept really neat an tidy and its probably the most spacious site we have stayed on. It has a very laid back vibe to the place and the owners are very welcoming and helpful. Peter provided us with loads of interesting information and local stories about some places to visit in Hay. During our stay we visited Hay Castle, which was superb value for money at £5 per person for a ticket which allows you to return as many times as you like for a year. Definitely somewhere we would stay again.
Tranquility personified
Originally we booked for two nights but due to unforeseen circumstances we only had one night at this super little site. It is beautiful and open but surrounded by trees and with only 5 units allowed, there is plenty of choice of where to park too. Our chocolate lab Maya loved the freedom to wander a little around the field and paddle in the small stream that runs through the site. Access to Hay on Wye is simple, a short walk sees you in the centre of the town with everything and more that you may need. We met "Pete the Greet" who gave us some more tips, including the Thursday market which we didn't know about and the short cut to the river Wye too.
We will return again for the night we missed
