More than most CLs

Well kept site with nine or more pitches and clean facilities. Large gravel pitches and neatly cut grass. Somewhat more developed (large areas of gravel) than most CLs so if you prefer the simplicity of  most CL ( as I do), this one may be going too far towards a full campsite. It's expensive as well, even before the increase due in October.

Very nice......

.....CL site. Very well maintained and very adequate and clean facilities.  When I booked I was asked to fill in the form from their web site and mail it to them with a cheque for our two night stay....a two night deposit is required for longer stays.  It's probably my own stupidity and forgetfulness that made me ask " how much do I owe you?" when we were greeted upon arrival and finished up paying twice!  Doh!! Nice views and apart from some traffic noise you really could have been miles from anywhere .....don't get me wrong, the traffic noise isn't really intrusive.....living within 1 mile of the A1 I just noticed it but it was never bothersome. Perfect location for visiting Bannockburn and Stirling Castle.

A well kept and friendly CL Site

This is a very well kept site in a peaceful location. The toilet and shower are kept spotless you have soap and a hand towel provided as well. The pitches are very large and almost level, which means you do not need to use wheel ramps for your motorhome. I will use this site again when we are in this area.

Hidden Gem

Just returned from a long weekend. What a fantastic site. Owners could not be more helpful and friendly. Pitch was large, flat and complete with water tap. Very spacious as we had full awning, hard standing but pegs went in no bother. Site is kept immaculate with toilets and shower brilliant for a CL Site. Information room with brochures for everything in the area. We had two dogs of which walks were available from the site or a short drive to Plean Country Park which was "doggy heaven". If you are looking for peace, tranquility and getting away from it all  then I cannot recommend this site highly enough, we will return very soon.

Caravaning Delight - A real treasure near Stirling

Spent the early part of August at Carr's Hill with our caravan. I have to say what a brilliant CL - it more than met expectations. It certainly gives Caravan Club sites a run for their money! It's wonderfully laid out with hard-standing and all the facilities you need for a peaceful break along with some nice scenery.

Grant and his family made every effort to make us and our friend very welcome. Incidentally, they also even provided us with additional caravan accommodation for our additional holiday companion, which really made for a brilliant holiday. Facilities were well maintained and kept meticulously clean throughout our almost 10 day stay.

The site is perfect for those wanting a quiet break away from the hustle and bustle. Most pitches have their own water tap too, so if you've got a direct connect waterhog/aquaroll, there's no trundling the water carrier - check when booking. Stirling is literally a 10 minute drive, Glasgow only 30 minutes. The location is so close to Stirling yet far enough into the countryside, you might think you were a good half an hours drive away. There's horses in the field next to the site (no noise or bother at all). We have absolutely no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this site to any other Caravaners that want to visit Stirling, but want something out in the country. It was just fantastic, and made for the perfect Scotland break. Wifi is also available which is a big plus, check with the owners for availability.

Lovely CL

We have just spent 9 days at this delightful CL, its a lovely layout and spacious between the pitches, its very convenient to visit both East and West coast as the road networks are very good, Glasgow, Edinburgh and the Trossachs are all near so there is lots to see and do. The owners are very friendly and keep the CL in pristine condition. We had a great time here and will visit again.

Just the Job

Very pleased with site. Good location and very well thought out site. Attention to detail second to none. Really like welcome notice board and info envelope to just get on with enjoying your camping. Paid up front, so no fuss or unnecessary contact which suits our needs. (not weird, we just enjoy our own company!!). Immaculate toilet block and shower - not expected at a CL.  Well laid out hard standings with attractive planting which will be superb when matured. Would recommend and would definitely return visit. Nice cycling in locality. Plean Country park very near by.

One of the best!

Carrs Hill has to be one of the best C Ls in the UK! The facilities are second to none. Good central position for visiting many places and easy to find from the motorway system. great walking for dogs both in the nearby wood and Plean Country Park. Very peaceful in a lovely rural position.
