We stayed here for 3 nights, and the Scottish weather god was on our side. A great CL with well terraced and spaced pitches, and clean facilities. Grant welcomed us on arrival, and we were allocated pitch 4 (great views). Such a peaceful and tranquil location, easy access and well placed for visiting the many local attractions and historical places. Luss on Loch Lomond was one of the places we visited, well worth it, with a great heritage walk. We managed to drive up to the house of bruar in the highlands, and the nearby village of Pitlochry - such dramatic scenery, the drive itself was so enjoyable and worthwhile. Recommended for those wanting a quiet stay in a superb CL, close to numerous places to visit - only problem was that 3 nights was not enough 🙂.
Lovely Peaceful CL
We stayed this weekend for 2 nights at £27 a night with EHU. Such a lovely little site on a working farm, it's a bit off from main roads so is really peaceful. The site is split into 2 sections, 1 for club members only and a 2nd open to all, 5 pitches in each. The pitches are really generous size gravel standing. There's an amenity block for each section, we were in the bottom section, the block there had 2 massive shower rooms with a toilet in each and 2 separate M/F toilet cubicles, they are very nice, modern and clean. There's a cabin for dishwashing and laundry, £5 for use of the washing machine, and £4 for the dishwasher, there's sinks too for doing it the old fashioned way. We didn't get a decent 4G or 5G signal but for only £1 per night you can connect to the Carr's Hill Wifi which worked absolutely fine. They have an information room which has loads of brochures and flyers for local attractions etc and a load of books to borrow. We walked the dogs through the woods across the road from the site, decent paths through to keep you right. The nearest village to walk to was Plean, it took about 45 mins to get there, there's a few shops there for essentials. Most of the walk was on a narrow country road, it was quite busy when we were on it but most drivers slow down while they are passing you. The whole place was really well kept and the owners were really nice too. I would totally recommend this CL.
Poshest loos on the CL Network
Charming CL set within glorious countryside but only a short drive to Stirling and Falkirk and many other places of interest including the Jellies and the Falkirk wheel. Apart from the CL their are another 5 private pitches, the CL has the best views whilst the private pitches are probably bigger and more level. All are serviced pitches with two facilities blocks, one of which is New and probably the best I've ever seen on a CL. Good WiFi and TV signal. If you follow the sites directions it's an easy to get to location.
Beautiful, peaceful and well laid out
Only stayed for one night, with a dog.
All the facilities were well looked after and beautiful views.
price was £28 with EHU.
Lovely location and lovely hosts would have loved to stay another night but had to visit family else where.
would definitely use again.

Fantastic CL
Immaculate CL.
The pitches are large and well spaced out. Two toilet/shower blocks, which are kept clean at all times.
Peace and tranquility in abundance.
A lovely woodland dog walk across the road for those who travel with dogs.
Ideally situated to visit attractions such as The Kelpies and The Falkirk Wheel.
I would thoroughly recommend a visit to this site.

Fantastic!
We have just returned from a week’s stay at Carr’s Hill, and have thoroughly loved this CL. Its many attributes include: location, layout, facilities, serviced pitches and friendly owners. The £25 pitch price was worth every penny, and we will definitely return.
Thank you Grant & Gillian!
Simply stunning
We have just returned from 2 nights at Carr's Hill and we honestly can't wait to return.
The site was really easy to book and has an straightforward arrival/departure systems including and information pack for the site and additional information room with suggestions for the local area. The pitches are large and the site is so well maintained with lovely landscaping and two very clean toilet/shower blocks - the newest block was pure luxury.
There are fantastic views over the fields to the hills in all directions - watching sunset from our pitch was a real treat. We went for a walk up the small hill at the site and a longer walk through the neighbouring woodland. The site is so well positioned for local tourist attractions, we headed to Falkirk to see the Kelpies, Helix Park and Wheel before going to the Lonely Broomstick. We also went up the road into Stirling for a walk up to the castle and round the walls. The separate roads out to Callander and Pitlochry provide great starting directions for day trips with various pretty towns, loch and mountain views, and visitor attractions.
I can't speak highly enough of Carr's Hill, I still feel completely absorbed in the peace and tranquility as I write this - shame it's back to the reality of work tomorrow!
Best we've found!
We came to this site as a one night stopover on our way back to the South Coast, and couldn't wish for anything better. Very simple and efficient booking and arrival process, good facilities and all beautifully maintained. Perfect!
Peaceful and Tranquil
We don’t use CL sides very often, but on this occasion we stopped at Carrs Hill for three nights on our way north. This was a very peaceful and tranquil site with five pitches, each being individually terraced into the sloping bank. No problems in setting up as there was plenty of space for manoeuvring, so all well on that particular matter. Showers and toilets are available and were always spotlessly clean although the actual buildings were showing signs of their age and needed a little bit of TLC.
The owner Grant was busy around the site doing all sorts of jobs, but never intruded on our personal space but was available if required.
We used this as a base to visit family in Falkirk, as well as taking the time out to view the magnificent Falkirk wheel and the irrepressible Kelpies both during daylight hours and in the evening where the light show was very impressive. We also took time out to go to visit St Andrews and then return along the Fife coast, not forgetting to stop in Annstruther for the traditional fish and chips, which was greatly enjoyed on the seafront overlooking the Firth of Forth.
Overall, highly recommended, convenient for M80 and M90 motorways and we shall use again when our travels take us back towards the north of Scotland.
Beautiful and Peaceful
We stayed at Carr's Hill for one night to help us and our little dog get used to our new Campervan. The site had everything we needed and is in a beautiful location. Even though we actually only traveled a small number of miles from our house to the site, we still felt like we were on holiday as it's such a peaceful and lovely location.
Due to the time of year, we were the only people at the campsite and I expect this is why we didn't see the owners but booking and access was very straightforward.
